Abstract

The purpose of this research are to describe and explain: (1) compliance with modesty and politeness infringement on editorial Suara Merdeka daily; (2) the function of politeness in Suara Merdeka daily editorials; (3) the relevance of politeness in Suara Merdeka daily editorial resource as text editorial writing class XII student in high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive by using content analysis method. The data used in this study of the document, namely Suara Merdeka daily editorial and informants. Technique intake of study subjects using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used, namely the study of the content and interviews with informants. Test the validity of the data using triangulation theory and triangulation of data sources. Data were analyzed using flow model analysis techniques Miles and Huberman. The result show that (1) compliance politeness of the most prevalent is the sympathy maxim, while the least was found is the maxim of simplicity. On offense politeness most common is the maxim of the award, while the least was found is the maxim of agreement; (2) the function of politeness most common is the function stated, while that is not found at all is a function of apology; (3) analysis of politeness in Suara Merdeka daily editorial relevant if used as teaching material writing editorial texts for 12th grade students of senior high school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menganalisis kebutuhan pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran apresiasi cerita rakyat; (2) mengkaji nilai-nilai cerita rakyat sebagai materi ajar; dan (3) membuat prototipe model pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran apresiasi cerita rakyat. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif tahun I ini menggunakan pendekatan R & D, yang dilaksanakan di 15 sekolah dasar mulai Mei-Oktober 2015. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V, guru kelas, dan pengambil kebijakan. Penentuan sampel secara stratified random sampling. Tempat dan peristiwa, informan, cerita rakyat, dan dokumen sebagai sumber data. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian: (1) analisis kebutuhan diidentifikasi atas: visi misi sekolah belum menjadi panduan budaya kerja; permasalahan siswa di kelas dipengaruhi kegiatan pembelajaran guru; pendidikan karakter dipengaruhi faktor pembinaan, keteladanan, model, dan pembiasaan; (2) materi ajar disusun berdasarkan tingkat keterbacaan dan daya pikir siswa; dan (3) model didesain melalui tahap pengorganisasian nilai-nilai, pengondisian pembelajaran, internalisasi nilai-nilai, dan pengembangan nilai-nilai. Pembelajaran apresiasi cerita rakyat menggunakan media wayang kancil sangat menarik dan menyenangkan sebagai model pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar. This study aims: (1) analyzing the character education needs in learning the appreciation of folklore; (2) examine the folklore values as teaching materials; and (3) create a prototype character education model in learning the appreciation of folklore. This qualitative descriptive research in the first year is using R & D approach, which is implemented in 15 elementary schools from May to October 2015. Research subjects are the students of class V, classroom teachers, and policy makers. Determination of sample by stratified random sampling. Places and events, informants, folklore, and documents as a source of data. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis using interactive analysis techniques. Result of the research: (1) needs analysis identified on: vision of school mission not yet become guide of work culture; students' problems in the classroom are influenced by teacher learning activities; character education is influenced by coaching factors, modeling, modeling and habituation; (2) teaching materials are prepared based on the students' legibility and thinking level; and (3) models are designed through the stages of organizing values, conditioning learning, internalizing values, and developing values. learning the appreciation of folklore using Kancil wayang media is very interesting and fun as a model of character education in elementary school.

Abstract

Theme is one of the crucial elements of a novel structure because it describes the message conveyed by the author. The description of the theme is closely related to the language used by the author. The readers’ understanding on the theme strogly depends on the language used as a means of delivering messages to the readers. The modern Javanese novels of the post-reform era are assumed to use the Javanese language.

Abstract

Nyai Ontosoroh is a character in Pramudya Ananta Toer's novel Bumi Manusia, which depicts a woman's struggle against injustice in her life. R. Giryadi adapted Nyai Ontosoroh's struggle in this novel into a short drama titled "Nyai Ontosoroh." The plot of this drama revolves around Nyai Ontosoroh's opposition to her husband and the Dutch government, which wants to take over the company and custody of her child. A Javanese woman's resistance to the colonial government was courageous at the time. Despite being defeated, Nyai Ontosoroh had fought for his rights in a dignified manner. She deserved to be referred to as a "hero." The purpose of this study is to explain and describe the various forms of gender injustice against women in R. Giryadi's drama script "Nyai Ontosoroh." This study is descriptive qualitative in nature. It is tailored to the formulation of determined research problems. It is a qualitative study that is thoroughly and analytically described. Forms of gender injustice against women are described. The conclusion of this paper indicates that women in Indonesia continue to face numerous gender injustices. Women must fight for gender equality as they should.

Abstract

Karya sastra memiliki nilai-nilai penting yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan salah satunya novel berbahasa Jawa. Oleh karena itu, peneliti ingin meneliti novel Gedhong Setan karya Suparto Brata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) Unsur struktural yang membangun novel, baik unsur intrinsik dan unsur ekstrinsik; (2) Nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam novel; dan (3) Relevansi novel sebagai materi pembelajaran novel berbahasa Jawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan struktural. Data yang diperoleh berasal dari novel, wawancara dengan ahli sastra, guru bahasa Jawa, dan siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan analisis sumber tertulis atau dokumen dan wawancara. Uji validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teori. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis jalinan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan simpulan. Simpulan penelitian ini; (1) Novel Gedhong Setan karya Suparto Brata memiliki unsur intrinsik meliputi tema, tokoh dan penokohan, alur, latar, bahasa, dan sudut pandang; sedangkan unsur ekstrinsik meliputi situasi sosial politik, ekonomi, dan budaya; sistem pengarang dan kepengarangan; sistem penerbit dan penerbitan; serta sistem pembaca; (2) Nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terdapat di dalam novel, yaitu: nilai keagamaan, nilai kesusilaan (moral), nilai sosial, dan nilai kultural; dan (3) Novel tersebut sangat relevan sebagai materi ajar dalam pembelajaran novel berbahasa Jawa di SMA. Kata kunci:pendekatan struktural, novel, nilai pendidikan, materi pembelajaran

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pengabdian ini relevan dengan kondisi sekarang ini yang mengharuskan kita banyak berkomunikasi melalui media sosial. Pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi permasalahan dari mitra yaitu kurangnya wawasan siswa dalam menggunakan Bahasa Jawa di sosial media. Terkait permasalahan tersebut maka perlu adanya pelatihan berbahasa Jawa yang baik dan benar di media sosial.    Tujuan: Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan kepada generasi muda khususnya pelajar terkait dengan tata krama dan budi pekerti khususnya dalam penggunaan bahasa Jawa untuk proses komunikasi di media sosial. Pengabdian ini menjadi hal yang urgent untuk dilaksanakan karena aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran daring banyak menggunakan media sosial untuk berkomunikasi sedangkan masih banyak ditemukan kesalahan dalam berbahasa Jawa. Metode : Metode yang dilaksanakan dengan metode ekspositori dan praktik dalam kelompok kecil. Peserta adalah siswa-siswa SMPN 2 Surakarta. Hasil: Peserta bertambah wawasan terkait bagaimana cara berkomunikasi dengan Bahasa Jawa di media sosial yang baik dan benar sesuai dengan unggah-ungguh yang berlaku. Kesimpulan: Hal ini relevan dengan kondisi pandemi yang mengharuskan kita banyak berkomunikasi melalui media sosial baik WhatsApp maupun yang lain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan citra wanita tokoh Raden Ayu Bratapranata dalam novel Ibu karya Poerwadhie Atmodiharjo, nilai-nilai pendidikan pada tokoh Raden Ayu Bratapranata dalam novel Ibu karya Poerwadhie Atmodiharjo, dan relevansi novel Ibu karya Poerwadhie Atmodiharjo sebagai bahan ajar kelas XI tingkat SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan feminisme. Teknik validitas dalam penelitian ini menggunakan  triangulasi sumber data dan teori. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan analisis dokumen dan teknik wawancara. Peneliti menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa citra wanita tokoh Raden Ayu Bratapranata dalam novel Ibu karya Poerwadhie Atmodiharjo berupa citra merak-ati, gemati, dan luluh;  nilai-nilai pendidikan pada tokoh Raden Ayu Bratapranata dalam novel Ibu karya Poerwadhie Atmodiharjo meliputi nilai pendidikan agama atau religius, nilai pendidikan sosial, nilai pendidikan moral atau etika, dan nilai pendidikan budaya; serta novel Ibu karya Poerwadhie Atmodiharjo dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar kelas XI tingkat SMA karena memuat nilai pendidikan yang baik untuk diteladani oleh siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of language errors in Javanese advertising texts by class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura. This research is a qualitative descriptive. The data studied were all words, phrases, clauses, and sentences in the students' Javanese ad text. The source of the data used comes from the advertisement text documents of students. The researcher used purposive sampling technique to determine the sample. In collecting the data, the researcher used assignments and document analysis. Test the validity of the data using data triangulation and theory triangulation. The researcher used an interactive analysis model that consists of three major phases of data analysis, they were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study are the forms of language errors in the Javanese advertising text by class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura are classified into three levels. First, language errors at the level of spelling (phonology) are 52 or 61,9% which consist of changes in phoneme vowels, changes in consonant phonemes, reduction of phonemes, and addition of phonemes. Second, language errors at the diction/word (morphology) level are 26 or 30,9% consisting of errors in word selection and formation. Third, language errors at the sentence level (syntax) are 6 or 7,1% consisting of incomplete sentence and illogical sentences.

Abstract

This research that using pragmatic approach has a purpose to describe the function of directive speech act of Glanggang Remaja: Wacan Bocah rubric. Data analysis technique that used in this study is qualitative inductive analysis technique, through analyzing the directive speech act in accordance to the plot distribution in the narrative discource. The classification of directive speech act in this study refers to Searle's opinion that customized with the plot distribution that proposed by Kosasih. The object that used in this study is narrative discourse of Glanggang Remaja: Wacan Bocah rubric in Panjebar Semangat magazine October – November 2020 edition. The result that obtained from this study are. First, sentence form and function in narrative discourse of Glanggang Remaja: Wacan Bocah rubric that are ask, beg, bid, command, demand, forbid, recommend, and request. Second, based on plot distribution, this study found the use of directive speech act on exposition, complication, rising action, turning point, and ending.
