Abstract

Abstract: the current study was intended to (1) find the model of character building for elementary school students, and (2) test the effectiveness of the character building model for elementary school students. The study utilized descriptive qualitative method. The data was collected by using observation, interview, document analysis, and test. The analysis technique of the interactive model and the product tryout were conducted by using experimental technique. The results of the study were (1) the early product development was prepared in such a way that the students would find the values by questioning and internalization processes through role playing, it would be meaningful if it was followed by making them habit in other relevant subjects, modeling, and giving examples; and (2) model could be used to effectively build the characters of the students in elementary schools.Keywords: characters, children story, ethic-spiritual values, elementary schoolsAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) menemukan model pendidikan budi pekerti untuk siswa SD, dan (2) menguji keefektifan model pendidikan budi pekerti untuk siswa SD. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan terknik observasi, wawancara, analisis dokumen, dan tes. Teknik analisis model interaktif dan pengujian produk dengan teknik eksperimen. Hasil penelitian, (1) pengembangan awal model dikemas sampai pada tahap siswa menemukan nilai melalui pertanyaan-pertanyaan dan proses internalisasi melalui bermain peran, hal itu bermakna bila ditindaklanjuti dengan pembiasaan pada mata pelajaran lain yang relevan, pemodelan, dan keteladan; dan (2) model dapat digunakan untuk pembangunan karakter siswa secara efektif di SD.Kata kunci: budi pekerti, cerita anak, nilai etis-spiritual, SD.

Abstract

This research has purpose to  describe and explain; (1) The position of woman figure in collection of poetry Ibu Mendulang Anak Berlari by Cyntha Hariadi. (2) The language style of Poetry in Ibu Mendulang Anak Berlari. (3) The collection of poetry Ibu Mendulang Anak Berlari that can be used in a poetry learning material in senior high school. This research used the method of qualitative. Data analysis of this research used interaktif analysis within 3 components: data reducing,  Data validity test is done by triangulating theory and triangulation of the data source. Based on the results of the study can be concluded: (1) on the poetry collection of ibu mendulang anak berlari has (a) Physical figure, (b) Physcological Figure, and (c) Social Figure; (2) Repetition is the most dominant  style that used in the Ibu Mendulang Anak berlari poetry collection; (3) Ibu Mendulang Anak Berlari poetry collection can be used as a poetry learning material in senior high school, especially on KD 3.16 (Identifying the atmosphere, theme, and the meaning of poetry that has been read) and KD 3.17 (Analyze the elements of poetry).

Abstract

The results shows that there are structure error and Indonesian language usage error on the persuasion text written by students at grade 8 of Junior High School in Surakarta. Those errors on the incomplete structure of persuasion text especially in the reaffirmation section. The Indonesian language usage errors include spelling error, diction error, and grammatical error. The most common errors of spelling comprises capital letters and punctuation marks usage particularly full stop and comma. The most-found errors of diction comprises improper diction selection and nonstandard diction. Grammatical error is mainly caused by ineffective sentence. Those errors are caused by some factors. The factors are (1) students do not understand the structure of persuasion text, (2) students have lack of spelling and diction knowledge, (3) the lack of examples given by teacher, (4) the lack of writing practice, and (5) student lack motivation within writing.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the textual and contextual aspects of the drama text by the class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo school year 2016-2017. The research used in this study is analysis of the content analyses with a qualitative approach. The primary Data used in this study was a collection of drama text by the XI SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo class. The secondary Data used is the form of articles, books, journals and research results conducted by some researchers. The Data used is taken by the purposive sampling method. To test the validity/validity of data in this study using the source triangulation techniques, and triangulation theory. The results of the study were 179 reference data, 23 60 data for the The researchers found three reference data, i.e. persona, demonstrative, and comparative references. The details are as follows: There are 122 data-refering personas, 41 demonstration reference data, and 16 comparative refering. In the drama text by the class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo also found a lexical aspect. The lexical aspects found are: (1) Reps, (2) Sinonimi, (3) Antonimi, and (4) collocations. Details are as follows: 37 data reps, 6 data Sinonimi, 12 data Antonimi, and 16 colocation data. In this study there were four principles that became a reference in the contextual analysis of the drama text, namely: 1) The principle of personal interpretation, 2) The principle of locational interpretation, 3) The principle of temporal interpretation, and 4) the principle of analogy. Based on this, it can be noted that there is a conjugual element in the collection of drama text by the students of the class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo. The manuscript of a drama text by SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo is a textual aspect, lexical and grammatically. There are four principles that are referenced in the contextual analysis of the drama text, i.e. personal interpretation principles, locational interpretation principles, temporal interpretation principles, and analogy principles.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the intrinsic elements of the novel 1) Maryam by Okky Madasari; (2) the author's view of the world; (3) the value of character education in the novel of Maryam; and (4) the relevance of the novel of Maryam as the materials literature in high school. The research of applying qualitative methods with genetic structuralism approach. Data and data sources this research is the archives/documents and informants. Research subject retrieval technique used the purposive sampling. The technique of data collection used the analysis of documents and in-depth interviews. The validity of the data used triangulation theory and sources. Data analysis technique used analysis of the flow. Results of the study are: (1) there is  relationship between substance of the novel of Maryam includes themes, characters and characterization, setting, plot, point of view, and value; (2) the author's world view includes the religious view, humanism, and feminism; (3) the story in the novel of Maryam contains 10 values character education includes religious tolerance, hard working, independent, democratic, curiosity, friendly/communicative, social care, and responsibility; (4) the novel Maryam relevant with learning materials of literature in high school especially in KD (3.8) Interpret the author's view on life in the novel is read and Analyze (3.9) and linguistic content of the novel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas: (1) proses pembelajaran membaca cepat dengan metode SQ3R dan (2) hasil pembelajaran membaca cepat dengan metode SQ3R. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini dilaksanakan di kelas V SD Negeri I Karang Duren. Sumber data diperoleh dari tempat dan peristiwa, partisipan, dan dokumen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, tes, dan angket. Teknik validasi data menggunakan triangulasi sumber data, triangulasi metode, dan revieu partisipan. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis komparatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa metode SQ3R dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses dan kualitas pembelajaran membaca cepat. Peningkatan kualitas proses terefleksi dari keaktifan siswa dalam mengikuti apersepsi, perhatian, serta minat dan motivasi. Ketuntasan siswa dalam belajar juga mengalami peningkatan.  Peningkatan kualitas hasil ditunjukkan perkembangan dari 52,6% pada siklus I menjadi 68% pada siklus II, dan 84,2% pada siklus III. Kata kunci: kemampuan membaca , metode SQ3R, membaca cepat

Abstract

Ancient manuscripts are one of the historical relics that must be preserved in existence. Along with the development of science, the field of critical discourse analysis is increasingly in demand. But unfortunately, ancient manuscripts are still rarely studied with this field of imu. Therefore, this studyaims to present a critical discourse analysis on ancient manuscripts, namely the Bima Land Customary Law (HATB) manuscript belonging to the Bima (Mbojo) regional community in the province of West Nusa Tenggara. The presentation was delivered descriptively with Norman Fairclough's Model Critical Discourse Analysis Method. The research data is in the form of quotations of verses in the HATB manuscript. Data is collected by Listening Methods and Document Analysis Techniques. At the data analysis stage, the Norman Fairclough Model Critical Discourse Analysis is used by putting into practice all elements of its structure. In addition, data analysis activities utilize interactive analysis according to Miles and Huberman. Next, the data is presented by formal and informal methods. Based on the data analysis, it was shown that Fairclough divided the discourse analysis into three dimensions, namely text, discourse practice, and sociocultural practice. In the text of the Customary Law of Bima Land, these three things are integrated and sustainable. The manuscript was made by the people, because of the people, and in the interest of the people. The verses in the HATB text are representations of the relationship between man and God, man with man with other beings, and man with himself.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research that is aimed to improve interest and writing skill in writing exposition about Javanese performing art using mind mapping method in XI MIA 9 students of SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consists of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The subject of this action research is students of class XI MIA 9 SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar and a teacher in the learning process. The source of the data was obtained from informant (students and teachers), places and event, and documents. The technique of collecting data that is used was interview, observation and document analysis. The validity test was using triangulation method and data. The method of data analysis was using qualitative descriptive analysis and descriptive comparative analysis. Based on the research, concluded that the application of mind mapping methods can increase student interest. This can be demostrated by the observation of the average activity in the first cycle at 69 with sufficient criteria and increased to 83.5 in the second cycle with the criteria very well. Secondly, mind mapping method can improve the writing skills of exposition text. Whereas, in the case of writing skill in writing exposition text, the amount of the students that passed in pre-research were 32% students, while the amount of the students that did not passed is 68% students. After the treatment is implemented in cycle I, the amount of the students that passed was 71% students and 29% students did not passed. Furthermore, in cycle II 87% students passed. The conclusion of this research is the implementation of mind mapping method can improve learning interest and writing skill in writing exposition text.

Abstract

Masalah yang ditemukan dalam pembelajaran menulis geguritan terkait dengan keterbatasan materi yang didapat siswa terpaku pada buku teks, lembar kerja siswa dan penjelasan guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan struktur metafora beserta pilihan citranya, nilai pendidikan, serta relevansi antologi geguritan Salam Sapan saka Gunung Gamping karya Sunaryata Soemardjo sebagai materi ajar kelas VII SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan semantik. Data pada penelitian ini yaitu analisis struktur metafora serta pilihan citranya, nilai pendidikan, dan relevansi antologi tersebut sebagai materi ajar SMP kelas VII. Pengambilan subjek penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik analisis dokumen dan wawancara. Uji validitas data dalam penelitian ini dengan teknik triangulasi teori dan sumber data. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis isi melalui empat tahap yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan simpulan dengan verifikasinya. Simpulan dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan struktur metafora ditemukan dalam bentuk tataran frasa dan klausa serta citra metaforanya yaitu: antropomorfik, hewan, abstrak ke konkret, dan sinestesia. Nilai pendidikan yang terkandung meliputi: nilai religius, nilai moral, nilai sosial, dan nilai budaya. Antologi geguritan Salam Sapan saka Gunung Gamping karya Sunaryata Soemardjo terbukti relevan untuk dijadikan materi ajar kelas VII SMP. Saran dari peneliti hendaknya guru memanfaatkan antologi geguritan ini sebagai materi ajar yang didukung dengan metode dan media kreatif serta siswa hendaknya menumbuhkan rasa cinta terhadap sastra Jawa melalui kegiatan menulis geguritan.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa Jawa diperoleh pada tiap satuan pendidikan di SMA. Materi dalam pembelajaran tersebut beraneka ragam, misalnya pembelajaran pariwara di SMA. Materi pariwara di SMA biasanya hanya berasal dari buku teks. Guru sulit mencari materi yang berkaitan dengan pariwara. Iklan radio berbahasa Jawa sesungguhnya dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber baru dalam materi ajar untuk mengatasi kesulitan tersebut. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan makna kohesi leksikal pada iklan radio berbahasa Jawa serta relevansinya sebagai materi pembelajaran pariwara di SMA. Lokasi penelitian yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data relevansi materi ajar pariwara bertempat di SMA Negeri 1 Gemolong. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis isi pada iklan radio berbahasa Jawa. Iklan radio berbahasa Jawa yang digunakan yaitu periode Maret-April 2019 dengan lingkup area Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, dan Yogyakarta. Adapun nama radio yang digunakan yaitu CJDW 107 FM, MDS 14,47 FM, Argososro 93,2 FM,  Persatuan Bantul 94,2 FM, Fortuna 101,9 FM, H 89,6 FM, Citra 98,8 FM, Gema Soedirman 96,3 FM, dan Handayani Adhiloka 99,9 FM.  Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu dalam wacana iklan radio berbahasa Jawa mengandung semua bentuk kohesi leksikal yang terdiri atas repetisi, sinonimi, antonimi, kolokasi, ekuivalensi, dan hiponimi. Wacana iklan radio berbahasa Jawa relevan dan sesuai dengan pembelajaran bahasa Jawa kelas XI semester genap pada kompetensi dasar menelaah teks iklan berbahasa Jawa dan menulis teks iklan berbahasa Jawa.
