Abstract

The drama entitled Dhemit tells us about the construction of a cluster housing in a particular area in which the environment is sacrificed. Developing an area becomes an excuse that the environment which should be protected are destructed. The notion of environment is mutual. For those who preserve it will get the good but for those who destruct it will get the harm. In order to keep the balance, there should be people who take a good care of the environment. They should struggle with environmental crime. Resistance is another term for the struggle. Environmental crime is something that people should fight for. This should be done as the sustainability and balance are fundamental for the people’s better life. Destructing the environment is essentially the same as destructing the future itself because the people’s life strongly depends on the environment. In this study, qualitative information was described thoroughly and analytically. The description covers the environmental destruction occurred in the playscript of Dhemit by Heru Kesawa Murti as well as the form of resistance towards the environmental destruction. The approach used in this research was descriptive qualitative. This approach was used to interpret the deep meaning of a literary work on its relation the society. This interpretation was based on the notion that literary work is the resemblance of the real world. The author himself is a part of society who consciously or unconsciously is affected by the society.

Abstract

This study aims to describe in-depth the values ​​of character education in the play script Dhemit by Heru Kesawa Murti and to describe the relevance of the play script Dhemit by Heru Kesawa Murti as teaching material in the course of Drama Studies and Appreciation of the Javanese Language Education Study Program. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The object studied is in the form of literary texts, namely the drama script Dhemit by Heru Kesawa Murti. This qualitative descriptive method is used to explore sources of information (data), in the form of literary texts so that the data that appears is in the form of concepts or categories that are impossible to calculate with statistics. The approach used in this research is structural, namely interpreting the deep meaning of the literary works studied in relation to people's lives. The data collection techniques used were: (1) recording documents/archives, (2) listening and note-taking techniques, and (3) library research techniques. The results of the research findings with a structural approach show that: (1) There are character education values ​​in Heru Kesawa Murti's drama script Dhemit (2) The values ​​found in Heru Kesawa Murti's drama Dhemit can be used for developing eye learning materials Drama Study and Appreciation Lecture in the Javanese Language Education Study Program.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Online Learning System (SPADA) in the Javanese Text Writing course. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study using interpretive methods presented in the form of a description. The research subjects were students of the Java Language Education Study Program (PBJ) FKIP UNS semester II or the 2020 batch of 74 people. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique which only focused on students who were taking the MTBJ course in the even semester of 2021. The data collection technique used a questionnaire or questionnaire technique. The analysis technique used is data collection, data processing and giving conclusions. Data processing is presented in the form of a brief description or detailed narrative text. The data that has been obtained are categorized and then conclusions are drawn. The results showed that students got various conveniences and benefits, such as ease of remembering lecture history, improvement of IT skills, ease of sending assignments, ease of understanding theory and improving skills as well as increasing the effectiveness of the lecture process. The SPADA features or menus that are much favored by students while attending MTBJ lectures, which can increase the effectiveness of lectures are discussion forums, assignments, course materials, and my dashboard. Some improvements that must be made by SPADA are related to upgrading the system, added features, and lecturer skills improvement.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the implementation of Javanese language learning (through dolanan song) based on religious character building in curriculum 2013. It employs qualitative research design with a single case study approach. The results showed that the learning of Javanese language (on dolanan song) can establish religious character building through a scientific approach. Its implementation may involve learning models such as role play, discovery learning and problem based learning. The steps of learning based on scientific approach include activities to observe, ask, gather information, associates, try and communicate.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa (materi tembang dolanan) berbasis pendidikan karakter religius dalam kurikulum 2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus tunggal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa (materi tembang dolanan) dapat menanamkan pendidikan karakter religius melalui pendekatan saintifik. Implementasinya dapat menggunakan model pembelajaran Role Playing, Discovery Learning dan Problem Based Learning. Adapun langkah-langkah pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan saintifik meliputi kegiatan mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, mengasosiasi, mencoba, dan mengomunikasikan.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to implement language politeness by using Javanese uploads according to the right situation and context on social media. The methods used include expository, discussion, modeling and observation. The results of the service show that there are still many teenagers today who are reluctant to use Javanese to communicate in the virtual world and the real world. Some teenagers also still feel shy when invited to communicate using Javanese. The service team tried to invite participants to do hands-on practice using the modeling method. Participants are invited to interact using good and correct Javanese according to the level of speech and the interlocutor. The communication carried out is conveying information, opinions, suggestions, criticisms that are often done in the virtual world and the real world.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pengabdian ini relevan dengan kondisi sekarang ini yang mengharuskan kita banyak berkomunikasi melalui media sosial. Pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi permasalahan dari mitra yaitu kurangnya wawasan siswa dalam menggunakan Bahasa Jawa di sosial media. Terkait permasalahan tersebut maka perlu adanya pelatihan berbahasa Jawa yang baik dan benar di media sosial.    Tujuan: Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan kepada generasi muda khususnya pelajar terkait dengan tata krama dan budi pekerti khususnya dalam penggunaan bahasa Jawa untuk proses komunikasi di media sosial. Pengabdian ini menjadi hal yang urgent untuk dilaksanakan karena aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran daring banyak menggunakan media sosial untuk berkomunikasi sedangkan masih banyak ditemukan kesalahan dalam berbahasa Jawa. Metode : Metode yang dilaksanakan dengan metode ekspositori dan praktik dalam kelompok kecil. Peserta adalah siswa-siswa SMPN 2 Surakarta. Hasil: Peserta bertambah wawasan terkait bagaimana cara berkomunikasi dengan Bahasa Jawa di media sosial yang baik dan benar sesuai dengan unggah-ungguh yang berlaku. Kesimpulan: Hal ini relevan dengan kondisi pandemi yang mengharuskan kita banyak berkomunikasi melalui media sosial baik WhatsApp maupun yang lain.

Abstract

Puppet stories or shows are literary works that contain didactic moral problems and aesthetic elements. Puppet shows also contain extensive guidelines (piwulang), such as religious values, philosophy, ethics, and character education for human life. Furthermore, the puppet has noble values ​​as role models and illustrations of daily human life (pathet) and crucial to build character and national identity. This study aims to describe and elaborate on the philosophical meaning of the Purwa Puppet of Gagrag Ngayogyakarta style performance, especially the scene of Arjuna’s asceticism or Begawan Ciptaning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data analysis techniques using content analysis. The results of this study indicate the role model of Arjunawiwaha’s story, especially the scene of Arjuna’s asceticism. This scene contains moral values, such as Arjuna’s firmness and persistence in trying to get closer to the essence of the world’s rulers. Another value is devotion to parents and the state, and leadership. The values found in the puppet stories are also relevant to nowadays life and are linked to Islamic thoughts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan guna meningkatkan keterampilan menulis aksara Jawa pada siswa kelas X Asisten Keperawatan SMK Bhakti Karya Karanganyar menggunakan model pembelajaran kumon dan media gambar yang berjumlah 15 siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) ini mengimplementasikan metode pendekatan kualitatif maupun kuantitatif. Data kualitatif bedasarkan hasil analisis dari wawancara guru kelas X mata pelajaran Bahasa Jawa, siswa, silabus, dan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Data kuantitatif berdasarkan hasil analisis dari hasil tes, observasi guru dan siswa. Hasil data tes dijabarkan dengan melihat nilai rata-rata saat pratindakan, siklus I, siklus II, dan siklus III. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pada pratindakan, siswa mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 57 dengan persentase ketuntasan 13,34%. Pada siklus I menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata 71,2 dengan persentase ketuntasan 40,02%. Tindakan siklus II memperoleh nilai rata-rata 80,26 yang sudah memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan minimal, namun persentase 60,03% yang berarti belum memenuhi indikator kesuksesan penelitian. Penelitian dilanjutkan hingga siklus III dengan nilai rata-rata 87,8 dengan persentase ketuntasan 100%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, model pembelajaran kumon dan media gambar yang digunakan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis pada siswa. Maka disarankan kepada guru untuk menggunakan dan memilih model dan media pembelajaran variatif seperti model pembelajaran kumon dan media gambar, serta memotivasi siswa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis aksara Jawa pada siswa.

Abstract

This research was a qualitative descriptive research using a semiotic approach. This research aims to analyze the value of character education contained in the symbols in the Surakarta style Javanese bridal paes and its relevance as the Javanese language learning material for elementary school level. The symbols in Javanese bridal paes are a medium for transforming noble values containing Javanese cultural teachings for bridal couples in particular and Javanese society in general, especially the younger generation. This is closely related to character development based on local genius. Therefore, this research tries to describe the symbols in Surakarta style Javanese bridal paes as a manifestation of character education values. Each part in Javanese bridal paes is a representation of local wisdom  intended to be a medium for educating noble character. The main data collection techniques are direct observation, interviews, documentation of Javanese Surakarta style brides which are strengthened by documentation analysis. For the validity of the data, credibility techniques are used which are carried out by: 1) diligent observation, 2) triangulation of methods and sources, 3) peer discussion, 4) adequacy of references. The data validity technique uses theory triangulation and source triangulation. The data analysis technique in this research uses Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic analysis technique. The research results show that each part of the Surakarta style Javanese bridal paes is a symbol that contains noble Javanese cultural values which can be a guide for the bridal couple and relevan for Javanese Language Learning in Elementary Schools.
