Abstract

Filsafat ilmu adalah ilmu pengetahuan yang menyelidiki hakekat segala sesuatu untuk memperoleh kebenaran yang berkaitan secara substansial maupun historis. Kelahiran suatu ilmu tidak dapat dipisahkan dari peranan filsafat, hal ini berlaku bagi semua disiplin ilmu termasuk bidang ilmu komputer. Ilmu komputer saat sekarang ini sangat berkembang dengan dipengaruhi oleh revolusi industri 4.0 seperti smart technology,smart city, dan lain-lain. Smart City merupakan penerapan konsep kota cerdas dengan pemanfaatan teknologi dan komunikasi untuk mewujudkan pelayanan masyarakat yang lebih baik. Peneltian ini membahas tentang pengaruh filsafat ilmu komputer terhadap smart city untuk mendukung revolusi industri 4.0 secara ontologi yang kaitan dengan hubungan filosofi dan sejarahnya, dari perkembangan sampai menjadi penggunaan teknologi di masa depan. Filsafat ilmu komputer terhadap smart city dapat membentuk karakter manusia (character building) yang mengarah kepada penggunaan kemajuan teknologi informasi berbasis revolusi industri 4.0. Karakter manusia di bina dalam pemakaian TIK pada smart city.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang identifikasi batuan dan tanah pada kawasan longsor di Desa Naman Teran Kecamatan Naman Teran Kabupaten Karo Provinsi Sumatera Utara telah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui batuan dan massa jenis tanah serta faktor geologi yang mempengaruhinya terhadap bahaya longsor di daerah penelitian. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasional dengan desain cross seccional. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisa deskriptif kualitatif. Analisa batuan dilakukan secara megaskopis dan menggunakan mikroskop sayatan batuan. Sedangkan massa jenis tanah dilakukan dengan metode gravimetri. Daerah penilitian merupakan susunan dari batuan piroklastik yang berasal dari muntahan aktivitas vulkanik, yaitu batu tufa. Sedangkan hasil uji tekstur tanah dengan massa jenis yang banyak mengikat air, serta kadar air yang relatif tinggi, dengan bentang alam dilokasi penelitan memiliki relief miring hingga sangat curam menunjukkan bahwa lokasi penelitian ini memiliki potensi bahaya longsor.

Abstract

Mangrove forests are essential in maintaining the balance of coastal ecosystems and climate change mitigation. This study aimed to analyze carbon stocks in 2022 in natural mangrove forests at Pulau Kampai, Pangkalan Susu Sub District, Langkat District, North Sumatra Province, with an area of approximately 1,786.25 ha. Estimating carbon stocks in this study uses destructive and non-destructive methods using allometric equations from various aboveground and belowground studies. The sampling plots used a circle plot with a radius of 5.64 m. The sampling plot was determined by purposive sampling based on NDVI criteria (low, moderate, dense, high dense) with a sampling plot distance of 20 m from the edge of the coast or river. The destructive sample tree was taken from the dominant species which grew in the study area, namely Rhizophora apiculata, with a diameter of 7.1 cm with a total biomass yield of 91 kg consisting of aboveground biomass of 67.55 kg (74.23%) and belowground biomass was 23.45 kg (25.77 %). Meanwhile, the average C-organic content produced 56% aboveground and 56% belowground. The estimated carbon stocks using this study's conversion factor was 62.06 tons C/ha with a total carbon stock of 110,849.28 tons C. Meanwhile, the conversion factor using other studies was 48.20 tons C/ha with a complete carbon stock of 86,095.30 tons C.Keywords: Destructive, Non-destructive, Carbon Stocks, C-organic, and NDVI

Abstract

Deep learning is part of the most popular artificial intelligence (AI) technology among the public where this research aims to assist in solving problems. This study discusses the relationship between the philosophy of science and the correlation of axiology on the development of deep learning. This study uses library research by collecting literature studies, analyzing data, describing the contents of the problem, concluding the problem, providing conclusions and suggestions. The basis for implementing knowledge about deep learning can recognize objects or sounds with the science under study and the correlation between axiology and the development of deep learning trials, the need for deep learning in an increasingly complex society becomes the basis for developing systems where data processing is carried out in more detail. and produce the correctness according to the algorithm that has been inputted. The research discussed also provides suggestions for guidance on the development of deep learning science on the development of axiology related to the philosophy of science in the implementation of deep learning systems on the development of science and technology in the field of computers.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to evaluate the form of cooperation between PAI teachers and parents in improving the literacy of the Qur'an in the students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Medan, assess the level of literacy of students in the Qur'an, and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in the collaboration. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a pedagogical approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing which aimed to clearly describe the process and results of cooperation between PAI teachers and parents. The results of the study show that: 1) The form of cooperation between PAI teachers and parents includes open communication, direct guidance, and the use of students' Qur'an reading and writing control books. 2) The ability to read and write the Qur'an of Muhammadiyah 1 Medan Junior High School students shows that some students still lack understanding and are not fluent in reading and writing the Qur'an in accordance with the rules of tajweed. 3) The supporting factor in the cooperation between PAI teachers and parents is active involvement in providing education to students. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor is that not all parents can communicate effectively with PAI teachers, either directly or indirectly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kriteria kualitas tanah pada lahan cabai merah yang dibudidayakan oleh petani. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif eksploratif, dengan pendekatan survey lapangan dan didukung analisis tanah di laboratorium. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode Purposive secara Random Sampling, dengan mengkombinasikan pengambilan sampel komposit. Sampel tanah diambil di 9 titik pada kedalaman 0-20 cm yang tersebar pada tiga satuan lahan yang berbeda berdasarkan jenis tanah, penggunaan lahan, dan kemiringan lahan. Analisis sampel yang dilakukan yaitu tekstur tanah, BD, TRP, KTK, C-organik, total mikroba, pH, Ntotal, P-tersedia, dan KB. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian dengan melakukan penilaian kualitas tanah menggunakan metode Lal (1994) dan 10 Minimum Data Set (MDS) pada tiap indikator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanah di Desa Pondok Balik memiliki kualitas tanah dengan kriteria Sedang pada setiap topografi. Kualitas tanah pada topografi datar (0-8%) dan agak curam (15-24%) memiliki niai 29 dengan kriteria kualitas tanah sedang, sedangkan pada topografi landai (8-15%) memiliki nilai 30 dengan kualitas tanah sedang. Perbedaan nilai kualitas tanah lebih ditekankan pada pengaruh lama manajemen lahan yang dilakukan.

Abstract

Mangrove forests are important in climate mitigation, particularly for their greatest carbon storage. Rhizophora apiculata, a mangrove species with numerous advantages, is frequently employed in restoration activities. Monoscpecies restoration activities are well known, although information on floristic composition and carbon uptake must be available. The objective of this research was to investigate the floristic composition and carbon stock of R. apiculata in the Pasar Rawa Village restoration area, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. This study employed the vegetation analysis approach and carbon estimates based on diameter breast height (DBH) and total vegetation height. The study's findings indicate low floristic diversity in the research area. At the seedling stages, the greatest IVI (113.68%) was discovered in Achanthus ilicifolius, and the only species found in the sapling stage with an IVI value of 200% was R. apiculata. The study of diversity indices revealed very low values at the seedling stage (H'= 0.806) and no diversity at the sapling stage. The total carbon stored estimation in R. apiculata stands relatively low, at 8.56 tonnes/ha. The absorbed carbon produced by R. apiculata is 31.42 tons/ha with a CO2 absorption of 3.141 g/m2 and is classified as relatively low

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the Implications of Globalization and Capitalism from the Perspective of Dependency Theory. Developing countries will increasingly depend on developed countries in economic, political, and social terms. Literature Review research method is one of the approaches in qualitative research in which researchers conduct analysis in the library by collecting books, documents, archives, and other data sources. Thus, while the IMF plays an important role in regulating globalization, capitalism, and dependency theory in Indonesia, it is also necessary to examine and critique its impact and sustainability in relation to the economic and social interests of various layers of society in Indonesia. The research results of this study show that globalization has significantly impacted market dynamics, integrated the global economy, and strengthened the influence of capitalism and the important role of the legal system in facing the challenges of globalization, capitalism, and dependency theory to create a fair and sustainable regulatory framework.

Abstract

Urban farming merupakan salah satu solusi meningkatkan ketahanan pangan di daerah perkotaan. Dengan metode hidroponik, masyarakat dapat memanfaatkan ruang terbatas untuk menanam sayuran dengan hasil panen yang cepat dan efisien. Selain itu, penggunaan serangga berguna, seperti lebah dan serangga pengendali hama alami dapat membantu penyerbukan dan mengurangi penggunaan pestisida kimia. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat Internasional ini dilaksanakan oleh Tim Pengabdian Lembaga Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) Universitas Sumatera Utara di Medan, Sumatera Utara dan Penang, Malaysia, pada bulan April 2024 hinga Agustus 2024. Pengabdian dilakukan melalui observasi dan eksperimental. Urban farming menggunakan hidroponik merupakan solusi efektif dengan konsep lahan hijau, ketahanan pangan terpenuhi dan bernilai ekonomis
