Abstract

The purpose of this study is to draw a connection between the zoning system and students' self-efficacy in science learning achievement among senior high school students in Tangerang. The instruments used in this study included self-evaluation sheets, questionnaires, and objective test results from students in science subjects, among other things. Random cluster sampling was used in South Tangerang schools to select the research sample, which consisted of research objects collected from two public high schools. The information gathered was analyzed in a descriptive quantitative manner using the SPSS program, which was developed by IBM. Teachers from chemistry, biology, and physics are involved in this research activity, and they actively participate in research interviews. According to the science teacher's responses, it was discovered that there was an effect on student characteristics associated with zoning-based admission of new students. The science studies teacher was aware of the school's online acceptance of new students pathway, which was implemented by government recommendations. Student confidence in science subjects was rated as high, and a correlation between zoning-based admission of new students and student characteristics was observed.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine student’s motivation in chemical bonding material throught practical methods. The method used descriptive method. The research instrument used a questionnaire motivation to learn.  The sample was students grade X.5 SMA Muhammadiyah 25 Pamulang consist of 11 male and 16 female students. Data obtained in the form of percentage of the average value of each indicator of motivation. Implementasi result of learning using the practical method showed that the students’ motivation in chemical bonding material through practical methods including the high criteria. It can be seen from the average percentage of each indicator learning motivation which includes interest in learning is 84.97% (high), persistence in learning is 83.82% (high), participant in learning is 89.80% (high), the effort to learn is 85.79% (high), and great attention to learning is 77.31% (high).Keywords: Motivation, Practical Methods, Chemical BondingAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa pada materi ikatan kimia melalui metode praktikum. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket motivasi belajar. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa/i kelas X.5 SMA Muhammadiyah 25 Pamulang dengan jumlah 27 orang siswa/i yang terdiri atas 11 siswa dan 16 siswi. Data yang diperoleh berupa persentase nilai rata-rata tiap indikator motivasi. Hasil imlementasi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode praktikum menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa pada materi ikatan kimia melalui metode praktikum termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari persentase rata-rata tiap indikator motivasi belajar yang meliputi minat belajar dengan persentase 84,97% (tinggi), ketekunan dalam belajar dengan persentase 83,82% (tinggi), partisipasi dalam belajar dengan persentase 89,80% (tinggi), usaha untuk belajar dengan persentase 85,79% (tinggi), dan besar perhatian dalam belajar dengan persentase 77,31% (tinggi).Kata Kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Metode Praktikum, Ikatan Kimia

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan instrumen Three-Tier Multiple Choice berbantuan Microsoft Office Excel. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Instrumen Three-Tier Multiple Choice berbantuan Microsoft Office Excel yang dikembangkan diuji cobakan kepada 23 siswa kelas XI MIA 2 SMA 74 Jakarta Selatan. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket respon siswa yang disusun menggunakan skala Likert. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil angket siswa dapat disimpulkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap instrumen yang digunakan secara umum adalah baik, dengan rata-rata persepsi siswa selama mengerjakan soal sebesar 76.43% (kategori baik), rata-rata persepsi siswa terhadap efektifitas media sebesar 71.52% (kategori baik), dan rata-rata persepsi siswa terhadap efisiensi media sebesar 75% (kategori baik).

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to increase students' motivation through cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) on the redox material. The method used is classroom action research with two cycles. Samples were 10 grade students of SMAN 5 Tangerang City. Data collection techniques gained through an essay test instruments and motivation questionnaire. Data were analyzed student motivation questionnaire average value in the description and essay tests were analyzed by calculating the value of N-Gain (%). The results showed that: (1) the average value of students' motivation to learn chemistry after participating TGT cooperative learning both in the first cycle and the second cycle were increased, 73.53 (medium category) and 79.44 (high category) respectively. (2) The percentage of the average value of the N-Gain (%) in the first cycle is at 69.53 (medium category). While on the second cycle percentage of the average value of the N-Gain (%) amounted to 79.72 (high category). (3) The percentage of students who achieve the minimum criteria of mastery learning (KKM )in the first cycle of 65.79% and the second cycle of 78.95%. This shows that the cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) can increase learning motivation and mastery of the concept dvof redox chemistry students. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) pada materi redoks. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan 2 siklus. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMAN 5 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui instrumen tes esai dan angket motivasi. Data hasil angket motivasi siswa dianalisis nilai rata-ratanya secara deskripsi dan tes esai dianalisis dengan cara menghitung nilai N-Gain (%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) nilai rata-rata motivasi belajar kimia siswa dengan menggunakan model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) mengalami peningkatan baik pada siklus I maupun pada siklus II. Nilai rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I adalah sebesar 73,53 (kategori sedang) sedangkan pada siklus II sebesar 79,44 (kategori tinggi). (2) Persentase nilai rata-rata N-Gain (%) pada siklus I adalah sebesar 69,53 (kategori sedang), sedangkan pada siklus II persentase nilai rata-rata N-Gain (%) adalah sebesar 79,72 (kategori tinggi). (3) Persentase jumlah siswa yang mencapai nilai Kriteria Kelulusan Minimal (KKM) pada siklus I sebesar 65,79% dan pada siklus II sebesar 78,95%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan penguasaan konsep redoks kimia siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the ability of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) pre-service education of chemistry in MA/SMA. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects consist of 30 students from the Department of Chemistry Education 8th semester of the academic year 2015/2016 FITK UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in March to September 2016. The ability of PCK measured consists of seven components: knowledge of science, knowledge of goals, knowledge of students, knowledge of curriculum organization, knowledge of teaching, knowledge of assessment, and knowledge of resources. The instrument used in this study consisted of objective tests and oral tests. Data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative. The results of this study show that: 1) The percentage of the average value of the ability of PCK overall is 56.67% is included enough category. 2) The percentage of the average value of the ability of PCK highest is indicators Knowledge of science, KoSc amounted to 65.67% (good categories), while the percentage of the average value of the ability of PCK lowest is an indicator knowledge of students 26.67% (less than one category). 3) The ability of PCK pre-service education of chemistry is enough category. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) calon guru kimia MA/SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 30 orang mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Kimia semester 8 tahun akademik 2015/2016 FITK UIN Syarif hidayatullah Jakarta pada bulan Maret-September 2016. Kemampuan PCK yang diukur terdiri dari 7 komponen yaitu knowledge of science, knowledge of goals, knowledge of students, knowledge of curriculum organization, knowledge of teaching, knowledge of assessment, and knowledge of resources. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tes objektif dan tes lisan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Persentase nilai rata-rata kemampuan PCK calon guru kimia secara keseluruhan adalah sebesar 56,67% yang termasuk dalam kategori cukup. 2) Persentase nilai rata-rata kemampuan PCK calon guru kimia tertinggi adalah indikator pengetahuan terhadap konten sains (Knowledge of science, KoSc) sebesar 65,67% (kategori baik), sedangkan persentase nilai rata-rata kemampuan PCK calon guru kimia terendah adalah indikator pengetahuan terhadap karakteristik siswa (Knowledge of students, KoSt) sebesar 26,67% (kategori kurang sekali). 3) Kemampuan PCK calon guru kimia secara umum termasuk kategori cukup.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of problem based learning to increase scientific literacy chemistry teacher candidates on aspects of the application context and the process of science. The method used was weak experimental with the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subject were student of chemistry education department Semester 2 in 2013/2014 FITK UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Research instrument is scientific literacy test in the form of essays. Based on data from the pretest and postest calculated value of N-Gain (%). The trial results demonstrate scientific literacy of students after learning with problem based learning has increased On aspects of the application context (42.49%) and on aspects of the process (50.29%). AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap peningkatan literasi sains calon guru kimia pada aspek konteks aplikasi dan proses sains. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode weak experimental dengan desain the One-Group PretestPostest Design. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Semester 2 Tahun Ajar 2013/2014 FITK UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar tes literasi sains dalam bentuk soal esai. Data yang diperoleh berupa nilai rata-rata N-Gain (%). Hasil uji coba menunjukkan literasi sains calon guru kimia setelah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (Problem Based Learning) mengalami peningkatan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep kesetimbangan kimia yang terintegrasi nilai dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran inkuiri. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta pada tanggal 20 Oktober sampai dengan 25 November 2008. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang terdiri dari dua siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari empat kegiatan yaitu: perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar berupa pilihan ganda. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dihitung nilai N-Gain dan dan diuji signifikansinya dengan uji-t.Berdasarkan hasil analisis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan N-Gain diperoleh rata-rata N-Gain untuk siklus I sebesar 0,6 (kategori sedang) dan pada siklus II skor rata-rata N-Gain yaitu 0,8 berada (kategori tinggi). Uji-t data hasil perhitungan rata-rata N-Gain siklus I dan siklus II diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 4,17 dan nilai ttabel sebesar 2,05 pada taraf signifikansi 95%, jadi thitung 4,17>ttabel 2,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaaan yang signifikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa di siklus I dan siklus II.

Abstract

Metacognitive skills are one of the skills needed in the 21st century to achieve student learning success. Student’s metacognitive skills are still low, so that need to be empowered during the learning process by implementing Problem Based Learning Strategy Integrated with Reading Questioning Answering (PBLRQA). Through the PBLRQA strategy, students can control their cognitive processes by planning, monitoring, and evaluating to solve problems in chemistry learning. The aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness of the PBLRQA strategy on students’ metacognitive skills on acid-base materials. The method was used quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample in this study were students of class XI IPA 1 as the experimental group and students of class XI IPA 5 as the control group, with each class including 32 students. Instruments Metacognitive Activities Inventory (MCA-I) developed by Cooper and Sandi-Urena (2009) were used in this research. Data analysis was assisted by IBM SPSS Statistic 22 software. The results of this research indicated that the use of PBLRQA strategy on acid-base materials was able to empowering students’ metacognitive skills.
