Abstract

Background: Lumbar MRI examination at T2 weighted is recommended using the Fast Spin Echo (FSE) sequence because it can detect early symptoms of a pathology, such as edema, tumors, infections, fractures, ligament injuries, and produce images with strong signals in CSF including details of nerve roots. Based on the observations of researchers at MRCCC Siloam Hospital Semanggi Jakarta that uses TR values in the range of 3500-7500 ms with 3 Tesla MRI. This study aims to determine the differences in image quality and anatomical information as well as knowing the TR values that produce best quality and anatomical information on Lumbar MRI on T2WI FSE. Methods: This type of research is an experiment, then a different friedman test was carried out to determine differences in image quality and anatomical information with variations in TR values that produced best image quality and anatomical information. Result: Friedman test shows there are significant differences between the variation of TR on anatomical information produced with p-value < 0.001. The friedman test results obtained p-value SNR < 0.001, CNR < 0.001 and scan time < 0.001. TR which produces best image quality and anatomical information is TR 5500ms with mean rank 2.32 on Lumbar MRI examination by T2WI FSE sequence sagital slices.

Abstract

Fusion techniques on MRI for brain tumors can provide comprehensive visualization by combining Axial T2-Flair and Axial T1-GD (T1-weighted post-contrast) sequence images. Fusion MRI in brain tumors is able to clearly display the location, size and characteristics of the tumor. However, not all institutions can install such additional fusion software due to significant additional costs. Therefore, this study aims to prove that the Stacks feature on ImageJ as an alternative can be optimal in visualizing brain tumor image information through MRI fusion techniques. This study used 17 image samples with a quasi experimental design post test only without control group design to compare three analysis methods, namely fusion maximum intensity, minimum intensity and average intensity so that the most suitable projection can be determined. The evaluation of image quality was carried out through a histogram which was then analyzed with a crucal-wallis and the Mann Whitney u test, while the analysis of pathological information used a crucal-wallis, followed by a post hoc test and continued with Mann Whitney u for further analysis. The results show that the stacks feature on ImageJ can be used in the application of fusion techniques so that it will improve the contrast and sharpness of MRI images, especially in areas with high tumor activity. MRI images of brain tumors with maximum fusion intensity produced images with the highest average gray level and the best pathological information. This projection is more optimal than the minimum intensity and average intensity because it provides a more detailed and clear visualization of brain tumors.

Abstract

The role of a patient lifter in brachytherapy is crucial for ensuring safe and efficient patient transfer during treatment. The use of fabric slings for patient transfer in brachytherapy at MRCCC Siloam Hospitals Semanggi is considered ineffective as it requires at least 6-7 medical staff to move a patient. The development of medical devices, such as brachytherapy patient lifters, is critical for maintaining safety, as any failure or malfunction can cause serious injuries to both medical personnel and patients. This study aims to design a brachytherapy transfer table and evaluate its effectiveness in minimizing physical strain on healthcare workers during patient transfers. Research methods implementing a rigorous development process is essential to minimize the risk of failure by ensuring that validation and verification activities are conducted objectively, reproducibly, and are well documented. This research introduces an approach based on the formal R&D Borg and Gall method for developing brachytherapy patient lifters. Results Functional tests demonstrated the overall success of the brachytherapy patient transfer table, with a 100% validity rating from five experts. The test results showed a significant value of 0.000, less than 0.05, indicating a significant difference between conditions before and after the design of the patient transfer table. The development of the brachytherapy patient transfer table has been highly successful and effective at MRCCC Siloam Hospitals Semanggi. The device also holds potential for further development in studies with larger sample sizes.

Abstract

Stunting is a health problem characterized by disrupted growth conditions in toddlers due to a lack of nutritional intake over a long period of time, starting in the womb until the child is two years old. Stunting causes children to be short in stature and is at risk of causing problems with motor and mental development. In Cilacap Regency, the prevalence of stunting reached 32.1%, above the national figure and the limit set by WHO. Therefore, accelerating stunting reduction is carried out through a holistic, integrative and multisector approach. One of the efforts made is the development of an information system to comprehensively monitor and prevent stunting, including a diagnostic model that involves various health parameters.

Abstract

Background: Infection control in radiography is carried out by wrapping tapes and radiograph equipment using polyethylene plastic bags. Existing conditions in the hospital require at least 1 to 2 layers of plastic for each radiography in patients with a history of infectious diseases. The use of plastic causes the amount of infectious plastic waste to be increased. Therefore, an alternative is needed to use acrylic mica material that can be used repeatedly and is environmentally friendly as a replacement for plastic bags. Methods: This research design is a Research and Development (RnD) study with the ADDIE model which is carried out with five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection method is carried out by observation, testing the function of the tool, and then the data is processed and analyzed by criticizing the results of radiographic image quality using ImageJ software. Results: Four sizes of precision radiographic cassette coating have been produced with four radiographic cassette sizes. The average decrease in the mean number is 1.07%.Conclusion: The radiograph quality from using acrylic mica cassette coatings in radiograph examinations can still produce good quality radiographs based on the results of histogram graph analysis which produces graphs that have a similar shape between those without using cassette coatings and those with cassette coatings.

Abstract

This study highlights the ideal ratio between the number of lecturers and students in Islamic Education classes at the Faculty of Economics, Udayana University, Bali. With only one lecturer teaching 200 students, this imbalance is a significant concern, especially amidst worries about the spread of extremism and exclusivism on campus. The research aims to evaluate the learning process, religious moderation attitudes among lecturers and students, and factors influencing religious moderation attitudes among students. Using a qualitative descriptive method and a case study design, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the ratio of Islamic Education lecturers to students does not meet government standards, despite the implementation of various teaching methods. Nevertheless, attitudes towards religious moderation are generally positive, although there are indications of a lack of moderation among some students. Internal and external factors were identified as influencing factors on religious moderation attitudes. These findings emphasize the need for ongoing efforts to improve the quality of Islamic Education learning through enhancing lecturer competencies and implementing programs to strengthen religious moderation in higher education, aiming to promote tolerance and reinforce religious moderation among students.
