Abstract

Selama 10 hari sampel berkumur larutan garam 12%. Pengukuran dilakukan sebelum berkumur, setelah 5 hari berkumur dan setelah 10 hari berkumur. Kemudian saliva diinkubasi selama 24 jam.

Collecting data by providing a questionnaire about the prevention and control of cross-infection carried out on tooth extraction in the form of the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) through the google form. The scores for each question on the Guttman scale are added up and then a percentage is made. good category 76-100%, sufficient category 60-75%, and less category 60%.Result: The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) was found that the majority of respondents were in the good category as many as 58 people (96.7%), and the less category as many as 1 person (1.7%), and those who were included in the sufficient category were 1 person (1.7%).Conclusion: The behavior of using personal protective equipment for young dentists during tooth extraction at the Unimus Hospital was good in wearing masks (100%), protective gowns (100%), google/protective glasses (95%), protective shoes (95%) and head protection (96.7%).

Abstract

Background: Dental health problems, especially dental caries, often occur in children. Parents' knowledge about the prevention of children's caries will greatly determine the dental health status of their children.Method: This study was an observational analytic study with a cross sectional approach. The study was conducted on 21 children aged 3 - 4 years at Posyandu Wiratama, Pudak Payung, Banyumanik, Semarang City, and their parents. Sample recruitment was carried out by total sampling. Dental and oral health of children was measured by the def-t index. Result: Based on the results of the analysis above, it is known that the significance value or Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000, because the Sig. (2 tailed) 0.000 <less than 0.05, it means that there is a significant relationship between maternal education level variables and the severity of children's dental caries (deft-t). Conclusion: There is a relationship between mother’s knowledge about children's dental health and caries incidence of children aged 3-4 years at Posyandu Wiratama Semarang City.

Abstract

Background: Efforts to maintain healthy teeth and mouth require special attention, especially in school-age children. Data from the Kedungmundu Health Center shows 9,491 students and 3,338 students who need treatment with a percentage of 35.37%. This is minimized by holding counseling or health education through interesting media for children. Media that has a good effectiveness value is the media pop-up book and pocket book.Method: This type of experimental research uses a nonequivalent control group design. The sample in the study were 23 students with pop-up book media and 23 students with pocket books at SD Negeri Kedungmundu, who underwent an OHI-S examination and received counseling interventions with pop-up book media and pocket books with material on maintaining oral hygiene.Result: Counseling using pop-up books and pocket books obtained a significant value of 0.000 (<0.005), which means that there was a difference before and after the intervention was given. The OHI-S score shows that the majority have a good category after being given the pocket book and pop-up book intervention. Conclusion: Counseling with pop-up book media is more effective than pocket book media on the level of dental and oral hygiene in school-age children.

Abstract

Hospitals as health care facilities are prone to infection. Infections that occur in hospitals are called nosocomial infections or can be called HAIs (Healthcare Associated Infection). Various kinds of procedures and dental health facilities can potentially cause infection transmission.
