Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) adalah program pendidikan tinggi yang memberikan kesempatan bagi mahasiswa untuk berkontribusi dalam pengembangan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengelolaan sampah pada masyarakat Desa Karang Rejo, Kecamatan Gunung Maligas, Kabupaten Simalungun, sebagai bagian dari kegiatan KKN. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif yang melibatkan survei lapangan, wawancara dengan masyarakat, dan analisis data sekunder. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kondisi pengelolaan sampah di desa tersebut masih menghadapi beberapa tantangan, terutama terkait infrastruktur yang belum memadai dan rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya menjaga lingkungan. Meskipun pemerintah setempat telah melakukan upaya seperti gotong royong mingguan, partisipasi masyarakat masih perlu ditingkatkan. Mahasiswa KKN juga turut berperan dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dengan mengadakan kampanye edukasi dan pelatihan. Hasil sosialisasi menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat mulai memahami pentingnya praktik 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) dalam pengelolaan sampah, dan beberapa telah mulai mengadopsinya dengan membawa keranjang belanjaan sendiri untuk mengurangi penggunaan plastik. Kesimpulannya, upaya meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dan peningkatan infrastruktur pengelolaan sampah perlu terus dikejar untuk mencapai pengelolaan sampah yang lebih baik di Desa Karang Rejo.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has provided two sides to the dilemma which have positive and negative impacts. As a result, literacy cultural activities have decreased and it is very worrying because of the influence of devices that often spend time playing online games. This can influence children's interest in reading books, therefore this research aims to find out the role of children's literature in improving children's reading literacy culture. The method used in this research is using qualitative research methods through library research using data collection, studying theories from various literature related to the research. This situation indicates that children really need literature in their development and growth, literature is a means offered to improve the culture of reading literacy for children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan materi pembelajaran dalam bentuk komik yang mengangkat cerita rakyat Pulau Simardan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang struktur cerita rakyat. Masalah utama yang diidentifikasi adalah rendahnya efektivitas bahan ajar konvensional dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa serta kurangnya bahan ajar yang menarik dan kontekstual. Metode yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), yang meliputi tiga tahap yaitu mendefinisikan, merancang, dan mengembangkan. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan praktisi pendidikan, dan dilanjutkan dengan uji coba lapangan pada siswa kelas IV MIT Al-Barokah Tanjungbalai. Temuan penelitian menegaskan bahwa bahan ajar ini sangat layak dan relevan untuk diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelaran. Validasi ahli materi mendapatkan nilai persentase 89%, menunjukkan keakuratan informasi dan relevansi dengan kurikulum. Validasi ahli media mendapatkan nilai persentase 80%, menunjukkan kelayakan desain visual dengan beberapa saran peningkatan. Validasi praktisi pendidikan (guru) mendapatkan nilai persentase 98%, menunjukkan kesesuaian dan efektivitas tinggi dalam pembelajaran sehari-hari. Respon siswa mendapatkan nilai persentase 91%, menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar komik ini menarik, menyenangkan, dan membantu mereka memahami struktur cerita rakyat dengan lebih mudah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis komik cerita rakyat Pulau Simardan terbukti efektif dan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu bahan ajar ini juga dapat menjadi acuan pengembangan produk kedepannya.

Abstract

The research entitled "Development of Pantun Card Media to Improve Pantun Writing Skills of Grade VII Students of SMP Negeri 4 Percut Sei Tuan" was motivated by the low ability of students in writing pantun due to a lack of understanding of pantun structure and limited interesting learning media. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model through the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were obtained through validation by media experts, material experts, and language experts, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest tests in the experimental and control classes. The validation results showed that the pantun card media was included in the "very valid" category with a percentage score of 92% from media experts, 92% from language experts, and 100% from material experts with an average of 94.67%, as well as practicality tests by teachers of 92% and 89.85% from students which indicated that this media was very suitable for use and well received. The effectiveness test showed a significant increase in the ability to write pantun in the experimental class compared to the control class with an N-Gain score of 57.83%, so that the pantun card media is quite effective to be used as an innovative alternative in learning Indonesian, especially the material for writing pantun.

Abstract

Penelitian yang telah dilakukan dilatarbelakangi bahwa kurangnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman yang membuat siswa kesulitan memahami materi dan mengerjakan tugas dengan baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa melalui pengembangan media komik berbasis pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini mengguakan jenis penelitian metode pegembangan dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Tahapan penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pengembangan produk, tahap validasi dan tahap uji coba produk pada 25 siswa kelas III MIN 7 Asahan. Hasil penelitian terhadap media komik berbasis pemecahan masalah berdasarkan nilai yang diberikan oleh validator media dan materi dinyatakan “Sangat Layak” dengan nilai rata-rata 87%. Komik berbasis pemecahan masalah juga dinyatakan sangat praktis yang diperoleh dari respon pendidik dan 25 peserta didik dengan nilai rata- rata 94% yang dikategorikan “Sangat Praktis”. Selain itu, komik berbasis pemecahan masalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman dinyatakan cukup efektif yang diuji dengan N-Gain Score. Nilai N-Gain terendah adalah 0,5 dan nilai N-Gain tertinggi adalah 0,93, persentase N-Gain Score adalah 72,5% dikategorikan “Cukup Efektif”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada 25 siswa kelas III MIN 7 Asahan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan produk komik berbasis pemecahan masalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa dinyatakan layak, praktis dan efektif.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the form of representative speech acts and their figurative meaning in the television program Lapor Pak Trans 7. In this research, the type of research used is qualitative. The data source for this research is the utterances in the broadcast of Lapor Pak on Trans 7. Data collection uses listening, recording, and analysis techniques. The data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis. The result shows that the form of representative speech acts in the Lapor Pak Trans 7 television show consists of the speech acts of stating, telling, explaining, refusing, suggesting, complaining, mentioning, and speculating. Furthermore, there is the use of figurative meaning, namely the figurative meaning of personification, the figurative meaning of metaphor, the figurative meaning of metonomia, and the figurative meaning of irony.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam membaca puisi, khususnya pada aspek kepercayaan diri, motivasi, pelafalan, intonasi, ekspresi, serta penghayatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran ARIAS terhadap kemampuan membaca puisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta TPI Labuhanbatu. Model ARIAS terdiri atas lima komponen utama, yaitu Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, dan Satisfaction, yang diarahkan untuk membangun keyakinan belajar, keterkaitan materi, minat, penilaian, serta kepuasan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 20 siswa kelas VIII-A yang ditentukan melalui teknik Simple Random Sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes unjuk kerja, observasi, dokumentasi, dan angket. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang digunakan telah memenuhi kriteria validitas dan reliabilitas, sedangkan uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal. Selanjutnya, hasil uji paired sample t-test memperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000, lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi 0,05. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran ARIAS. Peningkatan rata-rata nilai sebesar 37,75 menunjukkan bahwa model ARIAS memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan membaca puisi siswa. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran ARIAS dapat dinyatakan efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca puisi siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta TPI Labuhanbatu. This study was conducted in response to students’ low ability in poetry reading, particularly in terms of self-confidence, motivation, pronunciation, intonation, expression, and appreciation. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the ARIAS learning model on the poetry reading skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Swasta TPI Labuhanbatu. The ARIAS model, which consists of Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction, is designed to strengthen students’ confidence, connect learning materials with their needs, increase interest, provide assessment, and create learning satisfaction. This study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of 20 students from class VIII-A, selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected through performance tests, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. The results showed that all research instruments met the criteria of validity and reliability, while the normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed. Furthermore, the paired sample t-test produced a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, which was lower than the significance level of 0.05. This result indicates a significant difference between students’ pretest and posttest scores after the implementation of the ARIAS learning model. The increase in the mean score by 37.75 points demonstrates that the ARIAS model had a positive impact on students’ poetry reading ability. Therefore, the ARIAS learning model can be considered effective in improving the poetry reading skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Swasta TPI Labuhanbatu.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Student Worksheet (LKPD) for writing lecture texts based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in Indonesian language learning for eleventh grade. The background of this research is the low level of lecture writing skills among students and the limited availability of teaching materials that support active learning. The development was conducted using the Research and Development (R&D) method, which included needs analysis, product design, development, expert validation, and limited trials. Subjects in this study included material experts, language experts, media experts, Indonesian language teachers, and eleventh grade students. Data collection was conducted using a validation questionnaire, a practicality questionnaire, and a learning outcome test. The findings indicate that the resulting LKPD has a very high feasibility level, with a percentage of 96.66%. The effectiveness test results showed an N-Gain value of 0.71 in the experimental class (high category), while the control class had a score of 0.25 (low category). Furthermore, the practicality level was very high, indicated by a percentage of 98% of teachers and 84.6% of students. Based on these results, the Project-Based Learning (LKPD) worksheet is deemed feasible, effective, and practical for use in Indonesian language learning for 11th grade.

Abstract

This study is entitled “The Development of Kinemaster Animated Video Learning Media to Improve Narrative Writing Skills of Seventh Grade Students at MTs Al-Ittihadiyah Mamiyai Medan.” The background of this study is based on students’ low writing ability, which is caused by a lack of reading habits and the limited use of learning media that are appropriate to students’ characteristics. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, and Evaluate). The research subjects consisted of subject matter experts, language experts, media experts, teachers, and seventh grade students who were divided into two classes, namely the experimental and control classes, with 24 and 22 students respectively. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires, and writing tests. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the Kinemaster learning media is highly valid, with an average validation score of 95%; (2) the effectiveness test using N-Gain shows that the experimental class obtained an average score of 69.08% in the high category, while the control class obtained an average score of 48.7% in the low category, indicating a significant difference between the two classes; (3) the practicality questionnaire results show that the Kinemaster media achieved a practicality percentage of 98% from teachers and 92% from students, both categorized as very practical. Therefore, the Kinemaster learning media is declared valid, practical, and sufficiently effective in improving students’ narrative writing skills.
