Abstract

The Demographic Bonus that has taken place in this decade has a significant influence on Indonesia's social, political, economic and cultural system. Youth who are the drivers of the demographic bonus are rapidly taking up positions and roles in the world of workforce to the political and idealism platforms that intersect on the space of capitalism. In taking on the role of the flow of economic system, several youth feel that they have the potential and space of freedom to develop business and self potential through the way of entrepreneurship. Furthermore, youth are trying to take the role of becoming a social entrepreneur agent. Socioenterpreneurship is not new for several youth as the key to reducing the level of disparities in Indonesia. In addition, the emergence of smart city trends, a challenge the government to collaborate with the private sector and civil society to create a good social business ecosystem in the village. In other hand, smart village becomes an interesting output as the mainstreaming goal of sociopreneurship. Empowerment and creative economy become a play area for youth and society to do social business. Especially with the potential of nature and international market share has been from history always looking at the creative products of young Indonesians. So, this is not difficult to achieve. This paper is a partial summary of the results of the author's experience in interacting for several years with start-ups, creative economy business actors, social business communities, and social entrepreneurs in the community. From the results of this paper, it was found that youth with a variety of technologies that are very fast and sophisticated have begun to looking social business opportunities as a choice of survival amid their narrowness in finding a job. Social entrepreneurship becomes one of the keys for the Indonesian state to accelerate rapid and equitable economic and social development.

Abstract

The existence of a shelter actually has a strategic role for the handling of street children problems. Unfortunately, the shelter management is still conducted partially, therefore it is not effective in reducing the problem of street children. Thus, it is crucial to revitalize the model in handling street children problems. This paper offers approaches for improving the effectiveness of the shelter through the improvement in the aspects of input, process and termination. In addition, this paper also emphasizes the importance of reinforcing synergies among stakeholders in handling of street children problems.

Abstract

Most of Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) worried after government implementing the Asia China Free Trade Area (ACFTA). This agreement pushed down the import tariff from five percent to zero percent. China’s products and local product compete in market without government protection. China’s products will dominate market share due to the lowness of local products competitiveness. In several years, deindustrialization potentially happens in Indonesia. Government should reorient the SMEs development policy to minimize negative impact of ACFTA. It can be done by supporting local potential commodities, revitalizing capital loan policy, and synergy between government and others stakeholders to develop SMEs.

Abstract

As an agrarian country, Indonesia needs to develop its agricultural products. Related to this, the Indonesian farmers have signifcant roles on the development of agriculture in Indonesia. Nonetheless, previous agricultural policies have failed to obtain the goals. Another consequence befell to the farmers that have been marginalized. To respond the problems, a new agricultural policy needs to be created. This article show important considerations to establish the new pro-farmer agricultural policy in Indonesia

Abstract

In attempting to mediate conflict of interest between labours and enterprises, the government set up a regional-base minimum wage. Such policy, however suffer from some flows. Having demonstrate the flows, this article offers some measures to improve it.

Abstract

A stepforward in institutiorzalising democratic governance at the grass-roots level has been marked with the establishment of village representative body (Badan Perwakilan Desa, known as BPD). This article spells out various expectation embedded within such initiatives and assesses how the BPD lead to a more comprehensizie political reform at a grass roots level in Indonesia.
