Abstract

Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) merupakan suatu teknologi fabrikasi gabungan yang unit-unit prosesnya dikendalikan oleh satu komputer. CIM merek Intelitek sudah terkenal dan meskipun sangat mahal namun tetap menjadi acuan untuk pembelajaran bidang manufaktur khusunya teknik industri karena kecanggihan software simulasi dan modul praktikumnya berbasis website. Tujuan jangka panjang dari penelitian ini adalah membangun CIM alternatif yang murah, tanpa menyertakan software simulasi, dengan menggunakan microcontroler Arduino Due 32-bit agar menciptakan produk pesaing yang meskipun jauh lebih murah dari merek Intelitek, namun tetap dapat mengantarkan esensi pembelajaran CIM pada level dasar. Penelitian ini bermaksud membangun 4 Robotic Arm untuk stasiun perakitan yang dahulu secara tradisinya hanya untuk kebutuhan material handling atau dengan istilah loading unloading. Benda yang dirakit pada penelitian ini adalah Satu Balok Tetris 4 Susun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi 50% kegagalan rakit disebabkan konstruksi Robotic Arm yang suaian antar komponennya terlalu longgar meski sudah dikencangkan

Abstract

Hambatan praktikum fisika di tingkat SMA disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor.Salah satu faktor tersebut adalah masih jarangnya pelatihan penguasaan peralatan laboratorium bagi para guru.Akibatnya kreatifitas guru fisika dalam mempraktekkan konsep fisika yang diajarkan masih rendah sehingga diperlukan pelatihan perancangan alat peraga praktikum fisika.Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan perancangan alat peraga praktikum fisika yang sedang up to date yaitu alat peraga pembangkit listrik energi terbarukan. Alat peraga praktikum  pembangkit listrik energi terbarukan yang  diberikan pada kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah pembangkit listrik tenaga angin (wind turbine). Pelatihan ini dapat dibagi menjadi dua tahap. Pertama, penjelasan komponen-komponen yang diperlukan dalam merancang alat peraga pembangkit listrik energi angin. Kedua, pengujian alat hasil rancangan yaitu dengan memvariasikan kecepatan angin yang datang pada alat peraga energi angin dan mengukur daya listrik yang dihasilkan. Pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini para peserta(guru) dilatih merangkai komponen-komponen alat peraga. Namun para guru belum sempat melakukan pengambilan data dan menganalisis data hasil pengujian alat peraga secara mandiri. Namun demikian  para guru telah diperagakan cara mengambil data variasi kecepatan angin terhadap daya keluaran. Adanya pelatihan perancangan alat praktikum  fisika berupa alat peraga pembangkit listrik energi terbarukan khususnya pembangkit listrik tenaga angin bagi guru-guru fisika diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu solusi hambatan pelaksanaan praktikum  fisika di tingkat  SMA. DOI: https://doi.org/10.26905/abdimas.v3i1.2251

Abstract

Pengkondisian udara yang biasa disebut dengan Air Conditioner (AC) merupakan salah satu jenis mesin pendingin yang banyak digunakan masyarakat, hampir ada disetiap rumah dan terbuang percuma energi panasnya kelingkungan sekitar dari perangkat outdoor unit. Besarnya energi panas yang dibuang kelingkungan berasal dari panas yang diserap oleh evaporator atau indoor unit terhadap ruangan yang didinginkan serta ditambah energi panas hasil kerja kompressor. Energi panas tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan kembali. Bentuk pemanfaatan energi panas yang terbuang adalah dengan menambah pipa yang berasal dari kompressor menuju kondensor untuk memanaskan air. Proses kerja mesin AC adalah siklus tertutup dari kompressor, kondensor, pipa kapiler dan evaporator dimana media pendingin akan bekerja secara terus menerus selama AC tersebut dinyalakan. Penambahan pipa guna memanaskan air untuk keperluan mandi. Hasil pengujian dari AC yang menggunakan pemanas air adalahkenaikan daya aktual yaitu sebesar dari 1,357 Kw menjadi 1,447 Kw. Kalor yang dibuang kondensor terjadi penurunan dari 154,546 kJ/kg menjadi 152,137 kJ/kg. Temperatur yang dihasilkan dari tangki air berkapasitas 20 literadalah 63,0 OC dalam waktu 120 menit.Kata kunci : AC, energi panas dan pemanas air

Abstract

Plastic is an object that can support human daily activities due to its character that is practical and resistant. However, wasted plastic can pollute the environment since it is difficult to be decomposed. The purpose of this study was to produce plastic chopper machine that is capable of chopping plastic waste with shredder type and reel type cutting tools. The design process is chosen based on a predetermined assessment. The kinds of plastic that are chopped will be PET (polyethylene terephthalate) and HDPE (high density polyethylene) plastic. AISI 304 material knife was chosen to chop up plastic waste. According to the results of design and calculation, the engine size has dimensions of 1105.6x1355.7x600, 3 HP motor drive power, and has a rotation of 1450 rpm which is assisted by pulley transmission elements and v-belt type A. The chopper components used consist of 14 pieces of shredder blade and 9 blade reel cutters with 2 pieces of bedknife. The components of shredder knives, reel knives, and frames are analyzed using Finite Element Analysis to determine the safety of the planned design.

Abstract

Plastic waste pollution is an issue not only on land, but also at sea. It takes 20 to 500 years for the plastic garbage produced to decompose fully. The aim of this community engagement program is to assist partners in dealing with the problem of plastic waste. Socialization, use of appropriate technology for processing plastic waste, help, and assessment are the stages of action in the implementation of this community partnership program. The program's outcomes include partners being able to use a plastic waste crusher machine to turn plastic waste into plastic pellets, that may be sold or processed into other goods, as well as a solution for reducing plastic waste generation.

Abstract

Uneven workloads that occur in every process or every work station, impact on outcomes that are difficult to achieve and even fail. Or even if accomplished but by adding more effort, it creates new problems. This does not happen only in mechanical systems such as car engines or generators, but also occurs in human body systems. It can even impact psychological aspects that are difficult to measure such as jealousy among workers. This study consists of two topics that carry out simultaneously with the topic of workload and product design topics. The workload study, attempts to improve the uneven workload of cleaning service on the auditorium floor with the help of a self-sustaining floor cleaning tool. Begin by measuring the workload of cleaning service before this research implementation. Then ended with a measure again with staffing methodologies after research implementation. The product design topics attempts to reduce the amount of sensors which other previous research using 3 or 5 sensors to only 2 sensors that is LIDAR and Compass. This topics is using mechanum wheel straight on a NEMA 17 stepper as a simple drives system. The system can clean up to 252 m2 in 20 minute. It is expected that automatic floor cleaners can help smooth the workload of cleaning service so they don’t need to work very early long before office hour and no need to home long after office hour. Its expected to be applied to similar cases in other buildings.

This counts less effective in terms of time, security, as well as capacity Which generated. Therefore it is necessary to make a potato stick cutting machine to help produce potatoes. So that this thesis takes the theme "Design Build a Potato Stick Cutting Machine ” which will focus on the process manufacture of the machine. Abstract

This activity aims to support the implementation of the Depok City Caraka (Smart Family Friendly) Village Program which is implemented at the Rukun Warga (RW) level in order to realize Family Resilience and Smart Villages. The target of the activity is focused on initiating circular economy-based plastic waste processing. The methods used include outreach activities, training, application of production technology and practices for making plastic waste recycling products with a circular economy concept. The result of this activity is the creation of a collaboration, specifically between the Limo Village Government, Limo District, Depok City and the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University in overcoming and dealing with the problem of plastic waste so that it has beneficial value, as well as a strategy to study the implementation of the Caraka Village Program from in terms of economic, technical feasibility and environmental impacts on environmental cleanliness so that natural resources can be managed sustainably.

Abstract

Extrusion technology is one way that can be done to produce a product. The extruder machine is a tool that is quite simple but has its own uniqueness, the way this tool works is to insert raw materials which will be processed and then pushed out through a die in accordance with the desired shape. The purpose of this research is to design an extruder in order to produce a cylindrical product (filament), and to recycle waste into a product that has added value and economic value, so that it can be applied to society as an effort to reduce plastic waste. The research method used is development research with the determination of several variables, namely: control variables in the form of plastic material with the type of PET and HDPE, the independent variables are temperature and engine speed (rpm), and the dependent variable is the time needed to produce a product. The results obtained for the PET type plastic have the characteristics of fast liquid and runny, the results are discontinuous (discontinuous), brittle (brittle), for HDPE it has the characteristics of liquid and hard, continuous yield, the resulting surface looks rough with flexible plastic properties, strong and elastic, while for the mixture of PET and white HDPE, the characteristics are liquid, and continuous. This mixture of PET and HDPE has a long drying time of up to 1350 seconds.
