Abstract

The level of sexual violence against children is increasing every year, both for girls and for boys. Victims who have experienced sexual violence certainly need serious handling so that other problems do not occur in the future. One of the functions of the government is to provide services to the community and to empower people to participate in government administration. One form of service is by providing an Integrated Service Center for the Empowerment of Women and Children (P2TP2A) in each region. The Integrated Service Center for the Empowerment of Women and Children (P2TP2A) has the task of preventing, completing and recovering victims of acts of violence. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine whether the implementation of the P2TP2A handling program in Karawang Regency has been running optimally or not. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, documentation, and triangulation. The result of this research is that the handling of boys sexual violence victims has not run optimally, this is due to the lack of information delivery and socialization to the public regarding the existence of this program. Abstract

This research explores the role of the World Cosplay Summit (WCS) as a tool of Japanese cultural diplomacy through popular culture to strengthen Japan's positive image internationally. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research utilizes secondary data in the form of literature and documentation related to Japanese cultural diplomacy and the role of popular culture such as cosplay, anime, and manga. The results show that the WCS not only promotes the values of freedom of expression contained in Japanese popular culture, but also creates a platform for the creativity of young people in various countries. The success of this diplomacy is marked by the increasing number of countries participating in the WCS, proving the effectiveness of popular culture as an instrument of Japan's soft power in cultural diplomacy.

Abstract

In Indonesia, teachers' ability to undertake research is still below average. This is due to a lack of research knowledge and experience among teachers. As a result, teachers rarely conduct research and have never published a scientific paper. As a result, mentoring in the form of formal training in research competence is required. There is, however, no training structure designed expressly for instructors to improve their research competency. The goal of this study is to create a training system that will eventually improve instructors' research skills. The research and development process is based on a modified Dick & Carey development model. As a result, an upgraded teacher competency training system including training modules, training agendas, teaching books, and learning videos has been developed and tested by specialists. Teachers in Indonesia are expected to use the training system to increase their research skills.

Abstract

In 1994, UNDP released a report on human security, which included a point on personal security. The issue of gender inequality is a threat to personal security. Pakistan is a country that continues to advocate for and work towards gender equality. Inequalities in socio-economic development and the influence of a social structure based on a feudal system led to differences in the level of gender inequality in Pakistan. The high level of gender inequality in Pakistan affects women's ability to fully enjoy their rights. Using the concepts of international organizations, human security theory, and gender equality, this research aims to examine the role of the international organization UN Women in increasing gender equality in Pakistan. Employing a qualitative method with a descriptive approach as the framework, this research found that UN Women serves as a facilitator, communicator, and motivator in advancing gender equality, promoting Sustainable Development Goal 5, and protecting women from violence and discrimination. UN Women actively plays a role in achieving gender equality in Pakistan.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the National Central Bureau (NCB) Interpol Indonesia in addressing transnational narcotics crimes in West Java Province between 2020 and 2023. With the increasing complexity of international drug trafficking networks, effective international cooperation becomes essential. This research employs a normative juridical approach with qualitative methods, drawing from primary and secondary legal materials including regulations, reports, and interviews. The findings reveal that the NCB Interpol plays a crucial coordinating role in cross-border law enforcement, particularly through mechanisms such as Red Notices, intelligence sharing, and coordination with domestic institutions including BNN and the National Police. Despite the progress made, challenges such as legal harmonization, jurisdictional issues, and technological barriers still hinder optimal cooperation. Strengthening legal frameworks and enhancing technical capacities are recommended to improve the effectiveness of transnational narcotics crime suppression.

Abstract

Climate change is a global issue that has major impacts, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa. The increasingly frequent occurrence of extreme weather phenomena such as droughts, floods and heat waves has led to social and economic insecurity, which can lead to social conflict and gender-based violence. In these situations, climate change increases competition over natural resources, intensifies conflicts between communities, and encourages forced migration. Vulnerable groups, such as women, who are often victims of conflict, feel these impacts most acutely. This study uses a human security approach to analyze the impact of climate change on social conflict and gender violence in Sub-Saharan Africa. The research aims to illustrate how climate change exacerbates societal vulnerabilities and fuels conflict dynamics in the area. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and secondary data.

Abstract

The internationalisation of the Indonesian language has emerged as a strategic priority within Indonesia’s agenda for linguistic and cultural diplomacy. Underpinned by robust historical, legal, and linguistic foundations, Indonesian language is increasingly recognised for its potential to serve as an international language. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of government strategies in advancing this objective, focusing on regulatory policies, educational programmes, cultural diplomacy, and the utilisation of media and technology. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the research relies on secondary data gathered through literature review and documentation, which are analysed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that although notable progress has been made in promoting the global presence of Indonesian language, challenges remain concerning coordination, budgetary support, and resource development. The designation of Indonesian language as the tenth official language at the UNESCO General Conference represents a significant milestone. Nevertheless, sustained multi-stakeholder collaboration and policy reinforcement are essential. With consistent strategies and effective synergy, Indonesian language holds substantial potential as a soft power instrument, enhancing Indonesia’s global identity and diplomatic engagement.

Abstract

Violent anti-Hindu riots in 1984 and 1986 were followed by concerted efforts to ethnically cleanse Kashmiri Hindu Pandits. As many as 350,000 Kashmiri Hindu Pandits became refugees in their homeland. Barbara Harff and Ted Robert Gurr's principles promote ways to manage ethnic and religious conflict, pressure to respect minority rights, democratic institutions, self-determination, international intervention, and coercion to end violence. This research examines Pandit-ethnic conflict resolution using a qualitative approach and literature review methodology based on the principles put forward by Barbara Harff and Ted Robert Gurr. The data collected came from primary sources such as books and academic articles by Harff and Gurr and secondary sources such as journals, books, research reports and documents related to the Pandit ethnic conflict. This theoretical framework emphasizes the importance of respecting the civil and political rights of ethnic and religious minority groups to ensure justice, equality, and long-term peace and stability.
