Communication between teachers and students today still uses many conventional systems. With the advancement of computer technology, especially in the field of multimedia, it can be used as an innovative learning media. Multimedia created is an interactive film that can be controlled by the user / audience. Interactive films that are made useful to learn basic component parts in a personal computer. Interactive films begin with the basic display of a personal computer. Then the images in the interactive film can be selected by the user/audience to choose the part they want to learn. How to explain the basic components of a computer can be made interactive and interesting, and is preferred by many people. To create a multimedia presentation you can use a markup language, called SMIL (Syncronized Multimedia Integration Language). SMIL is a recommendation from the World Wide Web Consortium (www.w3c.org). SMIL is the same markup language as HTML and is a variant of XML. From the results of the application in several schools and universities in the city of Bandung, yielding positive results. Motivation from students to listen to the lesson material given increases, this makes the absorption rate of the learning material tested by giving test questions make the students' grades increase.

The performance of web processing needs to increase to meet the growth of internet usage, one of which is by using cache on the web proxy server. This study examines the implementation of the proxy cache replacement algorithm to increase cache hits in the proxy server. The study was conducted by creating a clustered or distributed web server system using eight web server nodes. The system was able to provide increased latency by 90 % better and increased throughput of 5.33 times better.

The aim of this training is to improve students' abilities in computer skills and knowledge. This training is divided into six meetings in order to deliver the material well. The method used in this training is a distance learning system. This training teaches skills and knowledge in the fields of hardware, software, typing training using a computer and writing correspondence using a computer. The results of the evaluation of each meeting showed that the absorption capacity of the training participants increased with each meeting. In the final evaluation for the training participants, the score for computer skills (typing and correspondence) was 81% and basic computer knowledge was 90%.

This study aims to measure the increased interest of students in the Maranatha Christian University Computer Systems Study Program in Physics Subjects. The increase in interest uses interactive multimedia-based learning systems. The learning system is designed using the SMIL (Synchronized Multimedia Interactive Language) programming language. The physics course learning system designed in this study is course material about Object Motion (Regular Straight Motion / GLB, Irregularly Changed Straight Motion / GLBB, Free Falling Motion / GJB, Vertical Upward Motion / GVA, Vertical Down Motion / GVB) . Thirty students were taken as samples to see interest in Physics courses. Data retrieval is taken before and after the provision of learning materials using interactive multimedia. The average value of interest in Physics Subjects before the use of interactive multimedia learning materials was 7.12 on a scale of 10, increasing to 8.57 after the use of interactive multimedia learning materials. Hypothesis testing uses paired t test. The results of statistical processing showed a significant increase in student interest in Physics. Currently, small business actors or economies are the backbones of the Indonesian economy. Information systems for managing business administration are very important and require computers and digital information knowledge. Currently, the noodle and meatball production business use a manual recording system. The training is given to small businesses that produce noodles and meatballs in Bojongloa Kidul District in Bandung City using the Microsoft Excel program. The training provided is specific to the needs of small businesses producing noodles and meatballs. After the training was given, the noodle and meatball production business implemented a computerized administrative system. The successful computerized administration systems are raw material stock management, finished goods stock management, product purchasing, and sales management. The training results are expected to bring progress and efficiency in the management of small businesses that produce noodles and meatballs.

Multimedia authoring tool serves to facilitate an author to create multimedia presentations. Multimedia authoring tool will convert the multimedia presentation into a document. Mobile devices with different screen sizes that can cause visual media to overlap are called Spatio-temporal conflict. The process in the multimedia authoring tool involves a Spatio-temporal verification process to detect Spatio-temporal conflicts. This study proposes a method for correcting the conflict using a conflict region detection process, Spatio-temporal verification, and auto-correction. The auto-correction method uses two stages of area relocation for vertical conflict and horizontal conflict. The two stages are repeated for the ability to correct up to four conflicting regions. Visual media objects such as overlapping images and videos were successfully separated into non-overlapping media objects. The proposed method succeeded in separating the four media objects that were previously overlapping.

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan keahlian dan kemampuan pembuatan aplikasi mobile. Pada saat ini penggunaan aplikasi mobile semakin banyak digunakan, tetapi sebaliknya materi pembelajaran di bidang komputer di tingkat SMA masih dirasakan kurang memadai. Oleh karena itu SMAK 2 BPK Penabur Pasirkaliki Bandung bekerjasama dengan Program Studi Sistem Komputer Universitas Kristen Maranatha membuat pelatihan ini. Materi yang diberikan adalah pembuatan aplikasi mobile menggunakan MIT App Inventor dan aplikasi mobile berbasis web. Metode pelatihan menggunakan sistem daring dengan sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan. Para peserta pelatihan telah berhasil membuat aplikasi mobile sesuai dengan materi pelatihan. Para peserta pelatihan merasakan pentingnya materi tersebut dan dirasakan dapat diaplikasikan dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Para peserta pelatihan juga menilai bahwa narasumber memiliki kapabilitas dalam materi dan penyampain materi pelatihan dengan baik.

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kenyataan bahwa saat ini perkembangan teknologi telah memasyarakat luas. Penggunaan telepon genggam atau telepon pintar telah banyak digunakan oleh berbagai kalangan masyarakat. Hampir semua lapisan masyrakat sudah mengenal dan menggunakan telepon gengggam. Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) sebagai salah satu institusi yang mengajarkan teknologi kepada para siswanya ternyata memiliki banyak keterbatasan. Keterbatasan seperti adanya pembatasan kurikulum, keterbatasan waktu pengajaran, keterbatasan fasilitas dan lainnya. Saat ini dalam pelajaran Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) di SMA belum banyak mengajarkan tentang pemrograman aplikasi mobile. Sehingga diperlukan pembekalan pelatihan praktis dalam hal pemrograman mobile. Pelatihan pemrograman aplikasi mobile ini merupakan perwujudan dari pendidikan praktis di bidang teknologi. SMAK BPK Penabur Singgasan Bandung dan Universitas Kristen Maranatha Bandung, Program Studi Sistem Komputer mengadakan kerjasama untuk pelatihan pemrograman mobile. Para peserta pelatihan pada awalnya tidak memiliki pengetahuan teori dasar tentang teknologi komputer, yang kemudian diberikan pelatihan hingga peserta memiliki pengetahuan teori tentang teknologi komputer. Dalam pelatihan ini diajarkan berbagai teori dan praktek dalam membuat aplikasi mobile. Para peserta pelatihan telah berhasil membuat berbagai aplikasi mobile menggunakan MIT App Inventor dan Responsive Website. Pelatihan ini telah berhasil 100% mengajarkan pembuatan aplikasi mobile bagi para siswa SMAK BPK Penabur Singgasana Bandung. This Community Service activity is motivated by current technological developments that have become widespread. Various groups of people have widely used mobile phones or smartphones. Almost all levels of society are familiar with and use mobile phones. High School (SMA) is an institution that teaches technology to its students, which turns out to have many limitations. Limitations include curriculum restrictions, limited teaching time, limited facilities, and others. Currently, there is not much teaching about mobile programming in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) lessons in high school. So it is necessary to provide practical training in terms of mobile programming. This mobile programming training is the embodiment of practical education in technology. SMAK BPK Penabur Singgasan Bandung and Maranatha Christian University Bandung, Computer Systems Study Program held a collaboration for mobile programming training. The trainees initially did not have basic theoretical knowledge of computer technology, which was then given training until the participants had theoretical knowledge of computer technology. In this training, various theories and practices are taught in making mobile applications. The trainees have successfully created various mobile applications using MIT App Inventor and Responsive Website. This training has been 100% successful in teaching the making of mobile applications for SMAK BPK Penabur Singgasana Bandung students.

Himpunan Mahasiswa (HIMA) merupakan organisasi kemahasiswaan tingkat sarjana yang mencakup beberapa organisasi dalam kampus. Keberadaan organisasi kemahasiswaan didasarkan pada prinsip mahasiswa, oleh mahasiswa, dan untuk mahasiswa. Himpunan Mahasiswa juga sering berperan sebagai wadah bagi mahasiswa untuk berpartisipasi dalam pembuatan kebijakan kampus, seperti mengorganisir pemilihan umum mahasiswa atau menyuarakan aspirasi mereka kepada pihak-pihak terkait di dalam dan di luar kampus. Oleh karena itu, dibuatlah website Program Studi Sistem Komputer HIMA Universitas Kristen Maranatha untuk membantu mahasiswa, dosen, dan alumni dalam memahami dan mencari informasi tentang Program Studi Sistem Komputer HIMA. Program yang digunakan untuk membuat presentasi multimedia menggunakan HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) dan CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), yang merupakan dua buah bahasa pemrograman untuk website. Website yang dirancang terdiri dari halaman utama, halaman visi misi, halaman kegiatan HIMA, halaman partner dan halaman contact.

Currently, computer literacy is very necessary to be studied by various parties, including high school students. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) subject matter at high school level has been studied, but usually only basic programming. Currently, lessons about databases using SQL are also required to be studied at the high school level, but due to limited curriculum, resources and time, this material is usually not studied. Therefore, the solution is to provide training outside of school hours. SMA Harapan Kasih Bandung, collaborates with Maranatha Christian University to provide computer training with material about databases. The training method used is face-to-face in a computer laboratory. The face-to-face procedure is by giving an initial test, theoretical explanation, practical explanation, student practice and final test. Face to face is given for two hours for each class. Training results are evaluated in terms of knowledge and skills. The evaluation results of this database training have been satisfactory with an absorption rate of more than 80%.
