Abstract

Utilization of mangrove forest is very important for people who are on the island of Liki. This study aims to determine the species composition of mangrove, mangrove vegetation structure and ecological values in the Liki Island District of Sarmi Kota, Sarmi Regency, Papua Province. The method used in this research is the transect method, by observation, interviews, documentation and literature review. The results of the study and analysis of the data showed the discovery of the species composition as much as 5 species  of 3 families with a density of 105 individuals/ha at tree level, 5 species of 3 families with a density of 124 individuals/ha at the level of the pole, 5 species of 3 families with a density of 149 people/ha at stake levels and 5 types of 3 families with a density of 109 individuals/ha at the seedling stage. The index value of the highest importance that kind of Bruguiera sexangula 78.02% at tree level. Mangrove species diversity at the level of the tree, sapling and seedling were low with H'<2.5. This research concludes that: 1). the composition of mangrove on Liki island consist of 5 species of 2). the low regeneration of mangroves causes the amount of density, frequency and dominance are relatively low; 3). need to increase the awareness of the public about the importance of the island of Liki themselves in maintaining the stability of mangrove land and sea conditions.Key words: vegetation analysis, mangrove species, Liki Island, Sarmi, Papua.

Abstract

Indonesia is very rich in biodiversity consisting of flora and fauna. One of the tree species flora that lives and can be found in Indonesia, especially in coastal areas is Bintangur (Calophyllum inophyllum). The general public does not know much about this plant which is usually used as wood raw material for carpentry, partly because few people know that old Bintangur seeds actually have a fairly high oil content. Observations show more certainty that Bintangur fruit when burned can maintain a flame for a very long time. The limited availability of kerosene and its scarcity in certain areas has prompted research on the Bintangur factory as a potential biofuel. However, if managed properly, old Bintangur seeds can provide economic value (as a substitute fuel for petroleum) which is environmentally friendly because it does not cause air pollution. Until now, the use of Bintangur plants has mostly been done in the carpentry industry. soot pollution type. According to research findings, 0.5 L of oil can be produced from 1 kg of old Bintangur seeds. Then 1 ml of Bintangur oil is claimed to be able to be used up to 11.8 minutes, compared to 5.6 minutes for 1 ml of kerosene. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui luas, bentuk dan keragaman vertikal pekarangan guna meningkatkan peran dan fungsi bagi terpenuhinya kebutuhan masyarakat secara langsung dan tidak langsung guna memenuhi aspek keberlanjutan di Distrik Arguni Bawah Kabupaten Kaimana Provinsi Barat. Metode dalam peneltian adalah praktek agroforestri dengan mengukur luas pengukuran setiap kampung kampung sampel dimana 3 sampel rumah diambil dari 15 kampung yang tersebar di Distrik Arguni Bawah. Penelitian ini juga menginventarisasi jumlah dan jenis tanaman pekarangan masyarakat berdasarkan stratifikasi tanaman (ketinggian tanaman dan diameternya). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Sekitar 12 kampung dari 15 kampung sampel memiliki luas pekarangan besar (400-800 m²) dan lainnya 2 kampung dengan luas pekarangan sangat luas serta 1 kampung luas pekarangan sedang. Lebih dominan jenis tanaman jenis herba atau rumput-rumputan sekitar 109 tanaman yang ditemukan di sekitar 15 kampung sampel adalah tanaman jenis bunga dan rempah-rempah atau tanaman obat. Kesimpulan mayoritas kampung dengan ukuran luas besar dan sangat didominansi oleh jenis tanaman herba. Kata kunci: Luas Pekarangan, Keragaman vertikal, Arguni Bawah

Abstract

Abstract Management of  Pekarangan in Papua has a different characteristic and land use for the family yard in Papua is strongly influenced by cultural characteristics and is associated with its natural resources. Geographically the Papuan people scattered islands, the coastal plains to the hilly area to the regional Mountains. The purpose of this study is to assess the type and characteristics of the Pekarangan in Papua in relation to socio-economic status based on the culture in the ecological zone in Papua. Pekarangan area has potential in the supply of family food, reducing household expenditures and to increase the income of farm households. Utilization of yard area in Papua is rich and varied in type, function and usability perspective very strong cultural influence. Management of pekarangan area for food self-sufficiency should be encouraged based on local knowledge of the local community to meet the family's welfare.(Key words: Food Self Sufficient, Local wisdom, Typology of Pekarangan) AbstrakPengelolaan pekarangan di Papua memiliki ciri khas yang berbeda dan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan bagi keluarga di Papua sangat dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik budaya dan berhubungan dengan  sumberdaya alam yang dimilikinya.  Secara geografis masyarakat Papua tersebar di pulau-pulau, pesisir pantai dataran rendah hingga daerah perbukitan hingga daerah pegunugan. Tujuan dari kajian ini adalah untuk mengkaji tipe dan karakteristik pekarangan di Papua  dalam hubungannya dengan status sosial ekonomi berbasis pada budaya dalam zona ekologi di Papua. Lahan pekarangan memiliki potensi dalam penyediaan bahan pangan keluarga, mengurangi pengeluaran rumah tangga dan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan rumah tangga petani. Pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan di Papua sangat kaya dan beranekaragam baik jenis, fungsi dan kegunaan dalam perspektif budaya yang sangat kuat mempengaruhinya. pengelolaan lahan pekarangan untuk swasembada pangan perlu didorong berbasis pada pengetahuan masyarakat lokal setempat untuk memenuhi kesejahteraan keluarga. Kata Kunci: Kearifan Lokal,  Swasembada Pangan, Tipologi Pekarangan

Abstract

AbstractConsidering the condition of Batanta Island and the potencies of its natural resources, it is necessary to study the characteristics of its natural resources, appropriate utilization, and conservation efforts, including the rehabilitation of mangroves.  The result of the research shows that such plants as Perepat (Sonneratiaalba), Api-api (Avicenniaofficinalis) and Bakau (Rhizophoraapiculata) can be planted in the planned site. Perepat and Api-api are thought to be species that have excellent survivability (able to grow into mature plants), and the construction design for the rehabilitation should use alluvial soil as the media and be filled as high as 190 meters. A massive concrete embankment is constructed in the northern part and stone embankment in the western part of the mangrove rehabilitation site, an area of 11.7 square hectares.Keywords: management, ecosystem, coastal resources, Small Island

Abstract

ABSTRAK        Kampung wiyogei adalah kampung yang terletak di Distrik Kamuu Utara, kabupaten Dogiyai, Provinsi Papua. Pakaian tradisional untuk laki-laki dan perempuan Suku Mee di Kampung Wiyogei menggunakan Tumbuh-tumbuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan, pemanfaatannya dan upaya pelestarian tumbuhan untuk pakaian tradisional suku Mee di kampung Wiyogei, Distrik Kamuu Utara, Kabupaten Dogiyai, Papua. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Masyarakat di kampung Wiyogei memanfaatkan 13 jenis dari 4 famili tumbuhan untuk pakaian tradisional suku Mee, 12 jenis tumbuhan terdapat di hutan dan 1 jenis tumbuhan yang sudah membudidayakan yaitu buah labu (siceraria lagenaria) untuk pembuatan koteka dan nama ilmiah diperoleh dari hasil identifikasi sampel yang dibuat herbarium di Manokwari. Pelestarian budaya upacara adat yang menggunakan pakaian tradisional masih terus dilakukan bahkan dalam keseharian hidup masyarakat suku Mee di kampung Wiyogei beberapa orang masih menggunakan pakaian tradisional.Kata Kunci : Pemanfaatan, Tumbuhan, Pakaian Tradisional, suku Mee, Wiyogei, Dogiyyai, PapuaABSTRACTWiyogei village is a village located in North Kamuu District, Dogiyai district, Papua Province. Traditional clothing for men and women of the Mee tribe in Wiyogei Village uses plants. This study aims to determine the types of plants, their uses and efforts to preserve plants for traditional clothing of the Mee tribe in Wiyogei village, North Kamuu District, Dogiyai Regency, Papua. The method used for this research is a qualitative descriptive method, through an emic approach and an ethnic approach. This research was conducted in Wiyogei village, North Kamuu District, Dogiyai Regency, Papua. The population in this study is the Wiyogei village community in the North Kamuu district and the plants found in the Wiyogei village. The main sample is the community that is used as knowledge material in the utilization of plant species for traditional clothing of the Mee tribe. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The data obtained in this study were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. This study resulted in the following findings: the people in the Wiyogei village used 13 species from 4 plant families for traditional clothing for the Mee tribe, 12 species of plants were found in the forest used for making moge and noken, and 1 plant species that had been cultivated, namely pumpkin (siceraria lagenaria). ) for the manufacture of koteka and the scientific name was obtained from the identification of samples made by the herbarium in Manokwari. Preservation of traditional ceremonial culture using traditional clothing is still being carried out, even in the daily life of the Mee people in Wiyogei village, some people still use traditional clothes.Keywords : Utilization, Plants, Traditional Clothing, Mee tribe, Wiyogei, Dogiyyai, Papua

Abstract

The aim of this research is to carry out a vegetation analysis looking at the types of plants at the seedling, sapling, pole and tree level which have the potential to serve as food for birds of paradise. The plotted line method is a measuring tool used to collect vegetation data at the seedling, sapling, pole and tree level. The data obtained is then analyzed to determine Density, Relative Density, Dominance, Relative Dominance, Frequency, Relative Frequency, Importance Value Index and Diversity Index. The research results showed that 5 types of food sources were obtained, namely Palaquium amboinense, Gnetum gnemon, Pometia acuminata and Syzygium sp. The structure and composition of vegetation at the seedling level consists of 21 species with H' (2.74) or medium, the sapling level consists of 34 species with H' (3.16), the pole level 27 species with H' (2.83), tree level 38 species with H' (3.06). Abstract

This study wanted to determine the effectiveness of using Microsoft powerpoint based on video learning through a scientific approach in the biology e-module of monera for increasing the activity, interest and learning outcome of 10th MIA Insan Cendekia Jayapura students. Research Methods Research and Development (R&D). The research sample was conducted in class X MIA SMA IT Insan Cendekia Jayapura with a total of 28 students. The results showed that the feasibility of the E-Module Biology Monera material through the use of Microsoft PowerPoint media based on learning videos was feasible to be used as a learning media material with an average validator rating of 87%. The use of Biology E-Modules can also increase students' learning activities in the learning process with an average percentage result of 80% in the high category, and can increase high learning interest in students with an average percentage of 74%. The increase in student learning outcomes also increased with the n-Gain test results obtained an average of 0.73 in the high category.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pelatihan guru-guru MGMP IPA dalam implementasi model Probalusan dalam pembelajaran IPA di SMP. Pelatihan ini diharapkan guru-guru sebagai fasilitator yang kreatif dan inovatif memiliki keterampilan dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran inovatif. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah guru-guru MGMP IPA di kota Jayapura yang berjumlah 41 orang. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian, meliputi penyampaian materi model pembelajaran Probalusan IPA, simulasi sintaks model pembelajaran Probalusan IPA dan dilanjutkan dengan diskusi seputar model pembelajaran Probalusan IPA untuk memberi kesempatan bagi guru untuk mengatasi kendala dalam menerapkan model Probalusan IPA. Manfaat yang diperoleh guru dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memperoleh pengetahuan tentang model pembelajaran inovatif yaitu model Probalusan IPA dan dapat menerapkannya dalam pembelajaran IPA di SMP. Hasil angket respon guru setelah mengikuti pelatihan untuk kategori sangat setuju diatas 85% dari 41 guru dan setuju 15% artinya guru sangat senang mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan implementasi model pembelajaran Probalusan IPA. Menurut Guru pelatihan ini membantu mereka memahami model pembelajaran inovatif diantaranya model Probalusan IPA. Guru lebih mengerti konsep dasar model pembelajaran Probalusan IPA, disertai contoh-contoh praktis yang berguna untuk diterapkan di kelas. Pelatihan ini mendorong guru-guru sebagai fasilitator lebih kreatif dan inovatif, serta memiliki keterampilan dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran inovatif. Implementasi model Probalusan IPA menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, inovatif dan menyenangkan sehingga tujuan pembelajaran tercapai dengan mudah.

Abstract

Planting media with a certain composition and different treatments influence the growth of a plant. This research was carried out for 5 months from December 2022 -May 2023 with the aim of research to find out the right composition for planting T. catappa plants in the rehabilitation process of the Telaga Cemara beach forest in Holmafen Village, Muara Tor District, Sarmi Regency. The composition of the growing media used in this study was manure, cocopeat, and soil. The research design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD). There are three variables used in this study, namely the independent variable (combination of Cocopeat manure and soil), dependent variable (type of tree planted), and control variable (soil without treatment). The results showed that there was an effect of treatment on the Ketapang plant which showed significant results on the five parameters tested, NL (T2K3), LL (T2K1), LW (T2K1), PH (T2K1), NB (T2K1). Based on the results of linear regression, the correct composition was obtained, namely the composition of 32.5% cocopeat, manure 17.5%, and land 50%.   Â
