Abstract

This research aims to: Understand the mathematics learning process by implementing the independent curriculum at SMP Negeri 8 Medan. This research method uses qualitative research which emphasizes analysis or descriptiveness. The subjects in this research were mathematics teachers who had become driving teachers and students of class VII SMP Negeri 8 Medan. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that learning mathematics by implementing the independent curriculum at SMP Negeri 8 Medan has had an impact on changes in students' behavior in learning, as can be seen from the results of observations that students are more active in learning activities and creative in their work. assignments so that student learning outcomes match the learning objectives. Meanwhile, learning mathematics by implementing the independent curriculum by teachers can respond to learning needs by paying attention to the preparation, implementation and assessment of mathematics learning. This research shows that learning mathematics by implementing the independent curriculum has an impact on good changes in students' behavior and learning outcomes and the implementation of learning must be appropriate. with independent curriculum learning steps.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in flat-sided spatial figures in terms of learning styles in class VIII-8 UPT SMP Negeri 8 Medan. This research method uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques from questionnaire results in the form of a Google form which contains aspects of learning styles accompanied by indicators that must be answered and observations of learning activities. The written test used in this research was in the form of description questions regarding material on the flat side of a cube. This research was conducted in class VIII-8 UPT SMP Negeri 8 Medan which also served as the research subject. Based on the research results, most students in class VIII-8 UPT SMP Negeri 8 Medan for the 2023/2024 academic year have a visual learning style with a total of 82.43%, an auditory learning style 60.9% and a kinesthetic learning style 46.5%. Students have a tendency towards one of the visual, auditory or kinesthetic learning styles. Of the 31 students, it was found that 19 students had a tendency towards a visual learning style, 10 students had a tendency towards an auditory learning style and 2 students had a tendency towards a kinesthetic learning style. So it can be concluded overall that each student with a different learning style has a different understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

This study addresses the limited use of interactive digital evaluation tools in assessing students’ mastery of observation report texts by developing a Gimkit-assisted learning evaluation tool for tenth-grade students at State Senior High School One Raya Kahean, Simalungun Regency. The study seeks to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the developed tool in supporting Indonesian language learning assessment. Employing a Research and Development approach, the study adopted the ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research involved a population of 124 students, with a sample of 30 students, and included validation by a material expert, a design expert, an Indonesian language teacher, and student users. The findings demonstrate that the evaluation tool achieved a high level of feasibility, with material expert validation reaching 88.33 percent and design expert validation reaching 89.66 percent. In addition, the effectiveness assessment conducted by the Indonesian language teacher yielded a score of 92 percent, indicating a highly effective category. The study argues that integrating gamified digital applications such as Gimkit into evaluation practices enhances assessment quality, student engagement, and instructional relevance, making the tool a viable and effective alternative for school-based learning evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe Indonesian language education based on learning outcomes in the Teaching Material Development course at the Islamic University of North Sumatra. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, learning observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The results of the study show that the formulation of learning outcomes has referred to the learning outcomes of graduates, but some of the formulations are still general and have not been fully measured. The implementation of learning has implemented an active learning strategy, but the relationship between learning activities and learning outcomes has not been fully understood by students. The development of Indonesian teaching materials shows a systematic structure, but learning evaluation is still predominantly oriented towards the knowledge aspect. This study concludes that it is necessary to strengthen the alignment between learning outcomes, learning strategies, and evaluation systems to improve the quality of Indonesian learning in higher education.

Abstract

Surat menyurat elektronik merupakan salah satu alat komunikasi digital yang memungkinkan pengiriman dan penerimaan pesan secara cepat, efisien, dan efektif. Dalam konteks organisasi, pemanfaatan email sebagai alat komunikasi telah menjadi praktik yang umum dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan surat menyurat elektronik dalam meningkatkan efektivitas komunikasi organisasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan surat menyurat elektronik (email) saat ini telah menjadi bagian penting dari operasi sehari-hari di berbagai sektor industri dan memiliki potensi manfaat yang signifikan bagi organisasi yaitu peningkatan kecepatan dan ketepatan komunikasi, peningkatan efisiensi koordinasi dan kolaborasi, peningkatan efisiensi biaya dan sumber daya, peningkatan kemampuan akses dan mobilitas, peningkatan kemampuan pelacakan dan monitoring, surat elektronik email menawarkan fitur-fitur pelacakan dan monitoring. Pengelolaan penggunaan surat menyurat elektronik dalam komunikasi organisasi menghadapi berbagai tantangan, salah satunya manajemen volume e-mail.Oleh karena itu, strategi yang dapat diterapkan yaitu mengelola penggunaan dengan kebijakan dan pedoman penggunaan email yang jelas, menyediakan pelatihan dan sosialisasi, mengimplementasikan teknologi yang mendukung, memastikan keselarasan antara penggunaan, dan menetapkan indikator kinerja dan melakukan pemantauan serta evaluasi secara berkala.
