Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce and to examine the feasibility of module network security system based simulation Cisco Packet Tracer for vocational learners. The model used is a model development Dick, Carey & Carey with nine steps. The product development is validated by subject matter experts with the level of validity 96%, media expert with the level of validity 92.8%, an instructional design with a level of validity 83%, individual testing at the level of validity 92.3%, small group trial with a level of validity 92% and test field trials with a validity rate of 89% with a very worthy qualification does not need revision.Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menghasilkan dan menguji kelayakan modul sistem keamanan jaringan berbasis simulasi Cisco Paket Tracer untuk peserta didik SMK. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Dick, Carey & Carey dengan sembilan langkah. Pengembangan produk ini divalidasi oleh ahli materi dengan tingkat kevalidan 96%, ahli media dengan tingkat kevalidan 92.8%, ahli desain pembelajaran dengan tingkat kevalidan 83%, uji coba perorangan dengan tingkat kevalidan 92.3%, uji coba kelompok kecil dengan tingkat kevalidan 92% dan uji coba lapangan dengan tingkat kevalidan 89% dengan kualifikasi sangat layak tidak perlu revisi.

Abstract

This research aims to identify obstacles and solutions in the application of educational technology through literature review. Technology has great potential in improving the quality of learning, but its application in the field still faces various obstacles. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method. The sources used include academic journals, scientific articles, government reports, and publications from relevant national and international educational institutions. The data obtained is analyzed thematically by identifying the main categories that emerge from the literature. This literature review reveals four main obstacles in the application of educational technology, namely the lack of adequate infrastructure, limited technological competence among educators, resistance to change, and lack of policy support from the government and educational institutions. To overcome these obstacles, several solutions are recommended, including increasing equitable access to technology infrastructure, providing sustainable technology training for educators, implementing an adaptive approach in the technology integration process, and strengthening policies that support technology adoption in education

Abstract

Kemajuan Teknologi Informasi (TI) yang pesat telah mengubah berbagai sektor, termasuk e-commerce, dengan menghadirkan peluang baru sekaligus tantangan dalam keamanan data. Shopee, sebagai salah satu platform e-commerce terbesar di Asia Tenggara, Shopee memperoleh rata-rata 124,9 juta kunjungan dari Indonesia per bulannya, setara dengan 27% dari total kunjungan bulanan global, menghadapi tuntutan besar untuk melindungi data pengguna. Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan kebijakan dan kontrol keamanan data Shopee dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja COBIT 5, khususnya pada domain APO13 (Manage Security), DSS05 (Manage Security Services), danMEA02 (Monitor, Evaluate, and Assess Compliance with External Requirements). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Shopee telah memiliki langkah-langkah keamanan data yang cukup baik, tetapi masih ada ruang untuk perbaikan pada aspek pengendalian akses, mekanisme pemantauan, dan pelatihan keamanan. Penguatan di area tersebut sangat penting untuk mengoptimalkan perlindungan data dan memastikan kepatuhan terhadap standar regulasi.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of technology and innovation in optimizing online learning to enhance the quality of education. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical literature review method. Data were collected through a systematic review of scholarly articles, books, and research reports from various academic databases, such as Google Scholar and ScienceDirect. Analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques to identify and categorize various forms of technology used in online learning and their impact on the learning process and outcomes. Research results show that the utilization of digital technology plays a crucial role in supporting the effectiveness of online learning. Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle and Google Classroom provide structured classroom management features. Video conferencing platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams enable synchronous interaction. Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology supports personalized learning and automatic feedback. Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and gamification increase student engagement through immersive and interactive learning. In addition, online collaboration and data-driven assessment can be enhanced through platforms like Google Workspace and learning analytics. Mobile learning applications such as Coursera and Khan Academy also provide flexibility in self-directed learning. These findings indicate that the appropriate integration of technology can significantly improve the quality of online learning.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance students' understanding and engagement through the development of interactive e-learning materials based on Moodle in the course of Parallel and Distributed Computing. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The final product of this research consists of a digital module, interactive videos, threading simulations, and assessment instruments. A limited trial involving 30 students showed that the use of interactive media can improve learning outcomes by 28%. Validation by experts places the media's feasibility level in the very valid category with a score of 92%. Through the presentation of interactive and visual materials, this media is considered effective in helping students understand complex concepts. Therefore, this research concludes that interactive e-learning is a potential and effective learning tool to support learning in technical and challenging subjects

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of a collaborative learning model in the course of Parallel and Distributed Computing to enhance students' teamwork skills. The approach used is a case study with a qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis, and then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study show that the collaborative learning model significantly improves students' ability to interact, share responsibilities, and work towards common goals. This improvement has a positive impact on the output quality of the project and understanding of learning concepts. This research emphasizes the importance of integrating collaborative approaches into the Computer Engineering curriculum to prepare graduates to face complex and interdisciplinary challenges in the workforce.

Abstract

Teaching network communication has become an important competency in the digital era, especially for students in technology fields and prospective educators. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the flipped classroom method in enhancing conceptual understanding and student engagement in the course of Network Communication. The research employs a quasi-experimental design involving 60 fourth-semester students from the Computer Engineering study program at a private university in Indonesia. Data were collected through pretests and posttests, observation of student activities, and a classroom engagement questionnaire. The results show that the level of learning completeness increased from 5.00% in the pretest to 66.67% in the posttest after the implementation of the flipped classroom method. In addition, 83.33% of students were classified as fairly active and 15.00% active during the learning process. This improvement in learning outcomes and activity indicates that the flipped classroom method has a positive impact on student engagement and understanding. This approach not only strengthens digital literacy and independent learning, but also encourages the creation of active, interactive, and humanistic learning.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of virtual simulation-based data communication learning. Using a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pre-test and post-test design, this study involved students taking the Data Communication course. This innovative learning was implemented for one full semester. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test to measure students' understanding and skills, as well as questionnaires to obtain students' perceptions of learning. Data analysis was done quantitatively using paired sample t-test to compare pre-test and post-test scores, and descriptive percentage analysis to evaluate questionnaire responses. The results show that virtual simulation-based data communication learning is significantly able to improve learning effectiveness, as well as student understanding and skills. Therefore, virtual simulation-based learning is highly recommended as an effective alternative learning approach in the field of information technology.

Abstract

The development of information technology brings significant transformation in the field of education, especially through the implementation of e-learning. One concrete manifestation of the digitization of learning is the use of Learning Management System (LMS), which serves as an interactive platform for managing, delivering, and evaluating the teaching and learning process. This article aims to examine the development and implementation of LMS in the context of learning, particularly in network communication practices, through a literature study approach. Data is collected from various national and international literature discussing the effectiveness, challenges, and innovations in the use of LMS. The main data source for this research is scientific articles sourced from databases in Google Scholar. The analysis technique used is qualitative content analysis with a descriptive approach. The results of the analysis show that LMS can improve the quality of learning, encourage active participation of students, and provide flexibility in delivering material. The analyzed studies also emphasize the importance of the integration between technical aspects, pedagogical aspects, and user characteristics in designing an effective and adaptive LMS. Thus, the development of interactive project-based and multimedia LMS is highly relevant to support practical learning in network communication in the digital era.

Abstract

The DDoS (Distributed Denial-of-Service) attack detection system aims to enhance network security across all aspects of internet technology utilization. One of its applications is in SPKLU (Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations). This research aims to detect DDoS attacks using deep learning in network administration. The study employs a deep learning approach utilizing Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) on a public dataset. Based on our study and analysis results, CNN has a precision rate of 95%. The high accuracy and balanced performance against various types of attacks indicate the potential application of this model in real-world situations. This model shows promising performance in detecting various network traffic anomalies, providing important insights related to its potential practical use. Further research is still needed to enhance resilience against evolving DDoS attack tactics and to address potential limitations that may exist.
