Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi terhadap efektivitas organisasi. Perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi dalam berbagai bidang seiring dengan perkembangan zaman berpengaruh terhadap tatanan dan nilai kehidupan individu maupun organisasi khususnya di lingkungan dunia industri yang di tuntut untuk selalu dapat beradaptasi dan berkembang sesuai dengan tantangan yang di hadapi. Salah satu yang harus dipertimbangkan dalam usaha memajukan organisasi adalah efektivitas organisasi dalam mencapai tujuan. Efektivitas organisasi adalah serangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh individu dan organisasi untuk memenuhi tuntutan dalam lingkungan organisasi sehingga mampu mencapai tujuan dari organisasi. Hasil penelitian terhadap 50 karyawan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi terhadap efektivitas organisasi secara signifikan dengan nilai F=7,595 dan p<0,01 dengan sumbangan 2efek tif nila R sebesar 0,244 yang berarti gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi secara bersama-sama memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 24,4% kepada efektivitas organisasi. Pengujian secara parsial, menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan hubungan positif terhadap efektivitas organisasi (t=2,526, p<0,01) dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 13,1% dan budaya organisasi hubungan positif terhadap efektivitas organisasi (t=2,297, p<0,01) dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 11,3% terhadap efektivitas organisasi.Kata Kunci: Efektivitas Organisasi, Gaya Kepemimpinan, Budaya Organisasi

Abstract

enelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh job enrichment terhadap employee engagement melalui psychological meaningfulness sebagai mediator. Desain penelitian yang digunakan ialah cross-sectional study pada 112 karyawan. Model analisis data yang digunakan ialah analisis regresi multiple linear. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa job enrichment memengaruhi employee engagement secara signifikan melalui psychological meaningfulness sebagai mediator. Nilai p ialah 0,000 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Nilai sig F change yaitu 0,006 sehingga efek mediasi tergolong signifikan. Selain itu, efek mediasi berpengaruh lebih baik daripada efek langsung. Ada peningkatan besarnya pengaruh, yaitu 27,2% tanpa mediator menjadi 31,5% dengan mediator

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the perception of leadership style andorganizational climate are together able to contribute to job crafting on salespeople, aswell as to know the amount of contribution from the two variables to job crafting. Datacollection was conducted on 79 employees of salespeople in PT. A in Manado, byproviding questionnaires containing three (3) scale of research, namely job crafting scale,transfor-mational leadership scale, and organizational climate scale. The findings of thisstudy indicate that together, the variables of work climate and transformationalleadership are able to contribute R value of 0.443 (p <0.05) to job crafting, with thedeterminant coefficient (R2) of 0.196 or 19.6%. Thus, it can be concluded that the existenceof transformational leadership style and work climate that is considered positive andsupportive can increase the proactive efforts of employees in making changes to balancejob demands and job resources.

Abstract

This study aims to understand understanding the dynamics of passion in youth entrepreneurs when running a business. By understanding the dynamics of passion in running a business, youth entrepreneurs can understand the importance of passion's role in his business so as to avoid failure. In order to achieve these objectives, a phenomenological study was conducted on purposively selected participants, ie nascent new business entrepreneurs who have a passion for entrepreneurship aged 18 to 34years. Data were collected using semi-structured phenomenological interviews and analyzed using a phenomenological analysis approach. The results show that the dynamics of passion play an important role in the three series of areas of entrepreneurial activity: 1) product creation and development, 2) business establishment, 3) business development. While also found the aspects of personal, environmental and behavior that affect the emergence of entrepreneurial passion on them.

Abstract

Stress is one of the psychological reactions that can be in a work situation. Work situations may change at any time in different forms. An employee's psychological reaction to change also varies. Job insecurity arising from changing work situations increases job stress. A company certainly does not want employees to experience work stress that can impact on the decline in company performance. The level of employeereligiosity is expected to reduce the impact of job insecurity. This study aims to determine the role of job insecurity against work stress moderated by religiosity. Job stress as the dependent variable, job insecurity as an independent variable, and religiosity as moderator. Methods of data retrieval were performed using work stress scale, job insecurity scale, and scale of religiosity. The subjects of this study were 119 employees working in the State Forestry Corporation. The hypothesis proposed in this study is religiosity as a moderator in the relationship between job insecurity with work stress. Moderate and hypothesis testis done by moderate regression analysis. The research result shows religiosity not proved as moderator in the relationship between job insecurity with work stress, but the directly significant impact to work.

Abstract

Technology based company operates in a very dynamic business environment. As one of the fast growing technology company, Qiscus has proven themselves to be able to survived after several major change in their business. This study aimed to find out what strategies taken by Qiscus, as a startup company and how their strategy can be used to deal with this high uncertainty business environment. A qualitative method with case study approach was used to answer these research questions. Data were gathered from 8 informants (2 founders and 6 senior employees). Through the in-depth interview and observation processes, the study found six strategic themes which were then categorized into internal and external strategies. The research findings showed that Qiscus had implemented six strategies: high involvement organization, pivot, building brand image, maintaining users experience, strategic investment and market education. The findings support previous studies that stated organizations with strong internal stakeholder involvement tend to have better performance and productivity.

Abstract

This research seeks to investigate the correlation between work values and organizational commitment in the Indonesian context. Two major dimensions of work values, that is intrinsic and extrinsic, were derived from a factor anaysis of Wollack’s scale. Organizational commitment was defined in terms of an individual’s degree of identification and involvement in the work organization. The study is based on 470 samples with correlational data for the relationships between organizational commitment and work values. The total sample was derived from four different companies and type of the production. The findings reveal that the correlational relationship between work values and organizational commitment is significantly positive. In general, the intrinsic work values scale is related more to commitment than the extrinsic work values scale. Thus, it may be fair to say that work values which have been demonstrated to be related to commitment in the Western industrial societies also hold true in the Indonesian context. Besides the intrinsic work values scale, demographic characteristics appeared to have a strong and statistically significant relationship with commitment, except for gender. The implication of the research stems from (1) the finding that work values have a moderately strong correlation with the variable of organizational commitment and (2) that the intrinsic work value scale has a statistically significant and strong relationship than either the extrinsic work value scale or the demographic variables with organizational commitment. As work values is related to commitment, organizations that wish to enhance the commitment of their employees should ensure a congruence between organizational rewards and the work values of employees. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of completeness of product knowledge on purchasing intention of skin whitening cosmetics. The subjects were 120 women who Senior High School graduatees at least. They were assigned randomly and the controlled group consisted of 60 women. The experimental group was given an skin whitening cosmetics consisted of completed product knowledge of label, but the controlled group was given an incompleted one. Both group were examined the intensity of purcahasing intention of skin whitening cosmetics. Data of this research were collected through purchasing intention questionnaire. Data were analyzed by t-test and the result showed that there was a significant differences between the experimental group and the controlled group with t= 3,431, p=0,001. Based on the result, it could be concluded that the completeness level of product knowledge was effective to increase purchasing intention of skin whitening cosmetics. Abstract

This research was aimed to examine the correlation between wisdom and religious orientation with fear of death among late adolescence college students. Three hypotheses were tested: (a) there was a negative correlation between wisdom and fear of death, (b) there was a negative correlation between intrinsic religious orientation and fear of death, (c) there was a positive correlation between extrinsic religious orientation and fear of death. The Subjects of this research were 158 undergraduate (S-1) students at Department of Psychology, Gadjah Mada University. The range of age was between 17-22 years old. The regression analysis was used to examine. The results showed that (a) there was a negative and significant correlation between wisdom and fear of death r = -0.209, sig. 0.004, partial correlation -0.226, (b) there was a negative correlation between intrinsic religious orientation and fear of death r =-0.037, sig. 0.323, partial correlation -0.175, (c) there was a positive and significant correlation between extrinsic religious orientation and fear of death r = 0.285, sig. 0.000, partial correlation 0.350. r=0.401, adjusted R2 = 0.145, sig.0.000. Abstract

The effectiveness of change implementation in an organization depends on the level of individual readiness for change. Low level of individual readiness can cause resistance to change. This study was aimed to test the role of psychological capital (psyche) to individual readiness for change (IRFC) moderated by perceived organizational support (POS). Data were collected using the individual readiness for change scale, the psychological capital scale and the perceived organizational support scale. The subjects were 351 employees of Local Government in Yogyakarta that embrace the changing position (in passing). Moderated regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis. Data analysis showed that both of psycap and POS play a role as predictors to IRFC (R 2 =0.350; p0.05). This research underlines the importance of resilience as psycap’s dimension to increase the individual readiness for change in an organizationAbstrak: Efektivitas intervenes perubahan Dalam organisasi dipengaruhi oleh Tingkat kesiapan berubah individunya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran psychological capital terhadap kesiapan individu untuk berubah, dengan persepsi dukungan organisasi sebagai moderator. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan melalui survei dengan menyebarkan skala kesiapan individu untuk berubah, skala psychological capital, dan skala persepsi dukungan organisasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 351 pegawai yang tersebar di instansi Pemerintah Daerah DIY yang akan menghadapi perubahan (inpassing) jabatan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan moderated regression analysis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa psychological capital dan persepsi dukungan organisasi secara bersama-sama memiliki peranan dalam memprediksi kesiapan individu untuk berubah (R2=0.350;p0.05). Penelitian ini meneguhkan pentingnya peranan resiliensi sebagai salah satu dimensi psychological capital dalam meningkatkan kesiapan berubah individu dalam organisasi.
