Abstract

Vegetasi adalah suatu kelompok atau kumpulan komunitas tumbuhan yang terdiri dari beberapa jenis yang hidup bersama-sama pada suatu tempat dan saling berinteraksi.  Vegetasi dasar  merupakan lapisan tumbuhan penutup tanah yang terdiri dari herba, semak, liana dan paku-pakuan. Pada habitat yang rusak juga dijumpai vegetasi dasar sebagai tumbuhan pionir. Hal ini juga dapat terjadi pada bekas tambang. Kabupaten Dharmasraya merupakan salah satu kota tambang di Indonesia, salah satunya tambang emas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah   dan   kepadatan   vegetasi   dasar   pada   bekas   tambang.   Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Jenis Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey deskriptif dengan metode   petak   ganda.   Pengambilan   sampel   dilakukan   pada   lokasi   bekas penambangan  emas  di  Nagari  Gunung  Medan  Kecamatan  Sitiung  Kabupaten Dharmasraya dengan menggunakan petak-petak contoh yang tersebar secara acak. Struktur vegetasi dasar pada ke empat stasiun. Pada stasiun 1, kerapatan tertinggi adalah Brachiaria eurciform dengan nilai 7,58 individu/m2, pada stasiun 2 adalah Boreria alata 10,58 individu/m2, pada stasiun 3 adalah Sclena sumatrensis 2,5 individu/m2, stasiun 4 adalah Paspalum conjugatum 2,5 individu/m2.

Abstract

Anatomi Tumbuhan merupakan kelompok mata kuliah keilmuan dan keterampilan (MKK , dimana pada mata kuliah ini membahas tentang sel, jaringan dan organ penyusun tumbuhan tingkat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara yang dilakukan pada materi anatomi tumbuhan, hampir semua materi sulit dipahami mahasiswa karena  mata kuliah ini meliputi struktur dalam yang tidak bisa diamati secara langsung dan juga tidak bisa divisualisasikan secara utuh karena keterbatasan media pembelajaran. Hal ini mengkibatkan sebagian besar mahasiswa menganggap materi tersebut abstrak dan sulit untuk mengkonstruk pengetahuannya walaupun sudah menggunakan OHP atau slide proyektor. Masing-masing media pembelajaran memiliki keunggulan dan kelemahan yang memerlukan kombinasi berbagai media agar kelemahannya dapat diminimalkan. Mengacu pada Standar Kompetensi Pendidik baik akademik maupun pedagogik maka media pembelajaran dicoba untuk dikembangkan yang mana diharapkan dapat membantu membina calon pendidik biologi professional khususnya di bidang anatomi tumbuhan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran compact disc interaktif berorentasi konstruktivisme pada mata kuliah anatomi tumbuhan yang valid. Hasil Validasi menunjukkan bahwa CD interaktif berorientasi konstruktivisme sangat valid, dengan Rerata validasi 3,63. Anatomy Plant is a group of knowledge subject and skill (MKK, which on this lecture discusses the cells, tissues and organs arranging higher plants. Based on the results of interviews conducted on the material of plant anatomy, most of the materials are difficult to understand by students because this material includes anatomy structure in which can’t be directly observed, and also can’t be visualized as a whole because of the limitation of learning media. This causes most of students consider that such material is abstract and difficult to  construct the knowledge although using overhead or slide projector. Each of learning media has advantages and disadvantages that require a combination of different media to make weaknesses minimal. Referring to the Competency Standards of Educator both academic and pedagogic so that learning media is tried to develop which hopely can help to foster candidate of proffessional biology educator especially in plant anatomy field. The purpose of this study is to produce a learning media of interactive compact disc (CD)-constructivism oriented on plant anatomy that is valid. Validation results show that interactive CD- constructivism oriented is very valid, with a mean of validation 3,63.

Abstract

Abstract. Fern is a plant that is spread so widely that it can be found from the lowlands to the highlands, has a high diversity of Indonesian flora groups and many grow in moist areas such as oil palm plantations, forests, hills and even river flows. In the river there are fern plants that grow attached to the stone. The study was conducted in July-August 2019 and aims to find out the types of fern plants that are used as decorative plants by sociality. The method used in this study is a descriptive survey by field observation and direct collection. Collections obtained were identified using with plant taxonomy books and field guides. Analysis of research data was done descriptively. The results showed that there were 6 types of decorative fern plants consisting of 1 class, 1 nation, 5 tribes, and 6 clans.Keywords: Pteridophyta, The Benefits of Fern

Abstract

The study of anatomical structure and karyotype of West Sumatran Dioscorea bulbifora L. Had been done from March 2005 to January 2006 in plant Structure and Development Laboratory of Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematic and Natural Science, Andalas University. In present study were used descriptives and quantitatives method by preparing semi-permanent and permanent slide. Anatomycal structures of green aerial stem were consisting of epidermal, cortex with endodermoid cells and sclerechima tissue centripetally. Vascular bundle can be rocognized in three distinct rings with amphycribal type. Transverse section of leave anatomical composed by both a layer epidermal on upper and lower leaf surface, palysade parechima, and spons parenchyma (dorsiventral type). The stomata were anomocytic type on both upper and lower surface of leaf (amphystomatic type). Idioblast of cell raphides crystals and tannin containing founded in leaf structure. In transverse section each of eight individual bundle surrounded by sclerenchyma. The root anatomical structures consist of epidermal, cortex, endodermal (U shape wall thickening), pericycle and pith (with three ring of vascular bundles) centripetally. The air tuber lacking of starch grains containing of parenchyma cells. Idioblast cell expected contain of HCN distributed over all of tuber tissue. The somatic cell chromosome were diploid 2n=20 with basic chromosome number were x=10

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran berupa aktivitas pandangan, aktivitas lisan, aktivitas dengar, aktivitas tulis, dan aktivitas emosional, yang menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar  biologi siswa kelas VIII MTsN 1 Kota Padang pada materi zat aditif. Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan aktivitas belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar biologi pada materi sistem pernafasan manusia kelas VIII MTs.N 1 Kota Padang. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif dengan  teknik purposive sampling yaitu sampel ditentukan oleh peneliti dengan sampel kelas VIII.1 dan VIII.2, dan populasi sebanyak 54 orang. Data diperoleh dari instrumen aktivitas dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment, rumus koefesien determinasi, dan uji t beserta rumus regresi liniear sederhana. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh thitung<ttabel yaitu 0,96<1,68 maka H1 ditolak dan H0 diterima, artinya tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara aktivitas belajar siswa kelas VIII dengan hasil belajar biologi materi sistem pernafasan pada manusia MTs.N 1 Kota Padang.

Abstract

Plant Physiology Education often faces challenges in visualizing complex internal and conceptual processes, such as photosynthesis, transpiration, and mineral nutrition. Traditional teaching methods often fail to motivate students and facilitate in-depth understanding. Investigation of AR and VR Technologies in Plant Physiology Education. This study employed a quantitative methodology with a descriptive design and correlational analysis, involving 50 students who completed a questionnaire regarding their motivation and comprehension of interactive digital books utilizing Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). The findings indicated a substantial enhancement in students' motivation and comprehension following the utilization of this technology. The Pearson correlation test indicated a positive link between students' motivation and comprehension, with a significance level of p-value <0.01. The t-test further validated a significant disparity in students' motivation and comprehension when utilizing AR and VR. This technology facilitates a more dynamic and immersive learning experience, aiding students in comprehending complex principles of plant physiology that are challenging to grasp through traditional techniques. This study advocates for the utilization of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies to enhance the quality of education in biology, particularly in the area of plant physiology
