Abstract

ABSTRACT Sonneratia caseolaris is one mangrove plant species belonging to family Sonneratiaceae. Sonneratia caseolaris has three morphological variations are dwarf, semi-dwarf and normal. In connection with such variation has been studied to determine the anatomical structure of the vegetative organs pedada red (Sonneratia caseolaris (L.) Engler) in Mangrove Forests Kenagarian Mangguang Pariaman city. This study was conducted in January-February 2013 by using the descriptive method of making permanent preparations. Based on the results, the differences in the complexity of the tissues of the three variations Sonneratia caseolaris. At the root Sonneratia caseolaris dwarf and normal tissue there is a sklereid amplifier, whereas the semi-dwarf Sonneratia caseolaris reinforcements in the form of fiber tissues. In the third variation stems from Sonneratia caseolaris there is no difference but the similarity of the complexity of their tissues  covering cuticula thin epidermis, cortex, vascular tissue and pith while the third variation on the leaves of Sonneratia caseolaris difference is the semi-dwarf and normal Sonneratia caseolaris there is substance ergastict in the form of crystalline type drush , while the dwarf Sonneratia caseolaris not found. Another difference is in the normal Sonneratia caseolaris  the epidermis consists of 2 layers, on Sonneratia caseolaris dwarf and semi-dwarf only 1 layer and the normal Sonneratia caseolaris  palisade tissue consists of  2 layers while Sonneratia caseolaris dwarf and semi-dwarf 3 layers.

Abstract

                                                      ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Mei 2017 bertempat di Laboratorium Teknologi Budidaya Perairan Fakultas Perikanan Kelautan Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan benih ikan gabus yang diberi pakan Tubifex sp dengan jumlah berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan wadah akuarium berukuran 40 x 30 x 40 cm3 dengan ketinggian air 10 cm sebanyak 12 unit. Pakan yang digunakan berupa cacing Tubifex sp, diberikan dengan dosis 15, 30, 45 dan 60% dari bobot tubuh ikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen yakni Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan empat taraf perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan. Dari hasil penelitian perlakuan yang terbaik adalah pemberian pakan dengan dosis 60%/ bobot tubuh yang dapat menghasilkan laju pertumbuhan bobot mutlak (1,93 gram), pertumbuhan panjang mutlak (5,25 cm), pertumbuhan panjang spesifik (6,03%) dan kelulushidupan (86,11%). Kualitas air selama penelitian diperoleh pH 6,0-7,0, suhu 26-28 0C, DO 3,1-3,2 mg/l, amonia 0,01-0,05 mg/l. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan benih ikan gabus (Channa striata) yang diberi pakan Tubifex sp dengan jumlah berbeda memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap laju pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan ikan gabus (Channa striata). Kata Kunci : Tubifex sp, ikan gabus, Pertumbuhan dan Kelulushidupan.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penyakit infeksi adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh masuk dan berkembang biaknya mikroorganisme yaitu bakteri, virus, jamur, prion dan protozoa ke dalam tubuh sehingga menyebabkan kerusakan organ. Menurut WHO di 55 rumah sakit pada 14 negara di seluruh dunia, menunjukkan 8,7% pasien rumah sakit menderita infeksi selama perawatan di rumah sakit. Tumbuhan kirinyuh telah menunjukkan adanya kandungan tanin, terpenoid, saponin, anthraquinon, cardiac glycosides, fenol, dan alkaloid. Adanya kandungan fitokimia ini menyebabkan tumbuhan ini dinyatakan sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya hambat ekstrak daun kirinyuh (chromolaena odorata) konsentrasi 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% dan 100% terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus menggunakan metode difusi disk. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental laboratori. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihat zona hambat dari berbagai konsentrasi ekstrak daun kirinyuh yaitu konsentrasi 20% diameter 0,3 mm (lemah), 40% diameter 1,6 mm (lemah), 60% diameter 3 mm (lemah), 80% diameter 4,6 mm (lemah), 100% diameter 6,6 mm (sedang). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa ekstrak Chromolaena odorata tidak efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Saran dari peneliti, perlu dilakukan pengujian antibakteri menggunakan bagian lain dari tumbuhan kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata). ABSTRACT  Infectious diseases are diseases caused by the entry and breeding of microorganisms, namely bacteria, viruses, fungi, prions and protozoa into the body, causing organ damage. According to WHO in 55 hospitals in 14 countries around the world, showing 8.7% of hospital patients suffered from infection during hospitalization. The kirinyuh plant has shown the presence of tannins, terpenoids, saponins, anthraquinones, cardiac glycosides, phenols, and alkaloids. The presence of these phytochemicals causes this plant to be declared as an antibacterial. This study aimed to determine the inhibition of kirinyuh leaf extract (chromolaena odorata) at concentrations of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria using the disk diffusion method. This type of research is laboratory experimental research. The results of this study showed the inhibition zones of various concentrations of kirinyuh leaf extract, namely 20% diameter 0.3 mm (weak), 40% diameter 1.6 mm (weak), 60% diameter 3 mm (weak), 80% diameter 4, 6 mm (strong), 100% diameter 6.6 mm (medium). The conclusion of this study was that Chromolaena odorata extract was not effective in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Suggestions from researchers, it is necessary to do antibacterial testing using other parts of the kirinyuh plant (Chromolaena odorata). Abstract

This research aims to determine the important role of the Constitutional Court Ethics Council in upholding the integrity and ethics of constitutional judges and in upholding law and justice in Indonesia. "This research examines the position and role and supervision of the Ethics Council in guiding constitutional judges." the behavior of constitutional judges in carrying out their duties as law enforcers and protectors of the constitution. The research methodology used is a descriptive approach, namely analyzing case data in the form of reports and public information regarding alleged violations of the Code of Ethics by constitutional judges. in 2014 and 2015. These data were analyzed to determine the number of cases followed up, recommendations given, as well as the handling process and decisions taken by the Ethics Council. They have received several reports from the public regarding alleged violations of the Code of Ethics by constitutional judges. However, there were no serious sanctions imposed by the Ethics Council in this case. On the other hand, the Honorary Council provides recommendations to the Constitutional Court to improve case handling and judicial procedures. In conclusion, the Ethics Council has an important role in maintaining the integrity and ethics of constitutional judges and upholding law and justice. "The recommendations given by the Honorary Council are very important in improving and perfecting the trial process at the Constitutional Court.

Abstract

Candidiasis merupakan infeksi yang terjadi pada 20-25% populasi dunia. Diperkirakan prevalensi infeksi oleh Candida albicans mencapai 25.000 kasus setiap tahun. Candida albicans dapat bersifat opurtunistik, menyerang organ dalam tubuh manusia seperti jantung, paru-paru, ginjal dan dibawa melalui aliran darah sehingga menyebabkan gejala yang sangat parah. Terapi yang dilakukan untuk mengobati Candidiasis diantaranya pemberian obat sintetis seperti obat antijamur. Namun beberapa obat memberikan efek samping yang mengganggu seperti mual, muntah sampai rasa terbakar pada kulit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk memformulasikan dan meguji efektivitas antifungi sediaan sabun cair dari ekstrak etanol kulit Citrus sinensis terhadap pertumbuhan Candida albicans penyebab Candidiasis secara in vitro. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian ekperimental laboratorium dengan menggunakan uji One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Analisis akan dilakukan terhadap daya hambat sediaan sabun cair ekstrak etanol kulit Citrus sinensis terhadap pertumbuhan Candida albicans secara in vitro dan karakter organoleptik sabun cair. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol kulit Citrus sinensis dapat diformulasikan menjadi sediaan sabun cair dengan beberapa karakter yang sesuai dengan standar nasioan Indonesia sebagai sabun cair. Formulasi I sediaan sabun cair ekstrak kulut Citrus sinensis memiliki daya hambat yang paling besar daripada formulasi yang lain. Semua formulasi dapat menghambat pertumbuhan Candida albicans secara in vitro dengan kategori kuat hingga sangat kuat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu ekstrak kulit Citrus sinensis dapat diformulasikan menjadi sabun cair dan memiliki aktivitas antifungi terhadap Candida albicans yang dikategorika kuat hingga sangat kuat. Abstract

The increase in dyslipidemia cases every year requires the Clinical Chemistry laboratory to carry out quality control which is influenced by an assessment of accuracy and accuracy. These measurements were used with control materials. So far, in laboratories, there are still many commercial serum control materials used as controls that are used daily in triglyceride tests, and rarely use pooled sera. In fact, there are several advantages in using pooled sera as a control material. This type of analytic survey research with a comparative study method. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation sheets. Data were processed computerized using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using independent t-tests. The results showed that the average triglyceride examination value with Pooled Sera control material was 94.67 mg/dL with a Standard Deviation of 2.52, a coefficient value variance of 2.66%. While the results of triglyceride examination with Commercial Serum control material were 79.13 mg/dL with a Standard Deviation of 3.57, the coefficient of variance was 4.51%. It was concluded that there is a significant difference between triglyceride examination using Pooled Sera and Commercial Serum. It is recommended that there be developments in medical laboratory technology in hospitals, making this research a reference in educational institutions, and further research on other parameters between Pooled Sera ingredients and other Serum.

Abstract

Escherichia coli (E.coli) is a group of gram-negative bacteria that are part of the normal flora in the body. Under certain conditions, these bacteria can be pathogenic by producing enterotoxins that can cause serious infections such as diarrhea. Establishing the diagnosis of infection due to E.coli bacteria, namely through laboratory tests by identifying the bacteria through the bacterial staining method. So far, the most widely used bacterial dyes are synthetic dyes such as safranin. Safranin is a dye in Gram stain which can be carcinogenic and in the long run has a negative impact on health. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to innovate natural dyes that can be used as alternative dyes. Leaves of henna nails (Lawsonia inermis L.) is one of the natural ingredients which has an orange-orange lawsone pigment that is able to color the cell walls of gram-negative bacteria such as E.coli. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of henna leaf extract (Lawsonia inermis L.) as an alternative to safranin staining. This research is a laboratory experiment. The experimental group was stained with henna leaf extract, using ethanol solvent concentrations of 25 mg/ml, 50 mg/ml, 75 mg/ml and 100 mg/ml. The control group used safranin dye. All research groups were carried out 3 repetitions. The parameters used were the clarity of the visual field, the shape of the bacteria, the cleanliness of the preparation and the color of the bacteria compared to the safranin control. The results showed that henna leaf extract was effective enough to be used as a coloring agent to replace safranin because it can color E.coli bacteria well.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes after learning using a collaborative-based problem-based leaning model in grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 13 Lubuklinggau on the material of building a flat side room. The research method uses quantitative research with quasi-experimental research design. The sample in the study was grade VIII.3 students consisting of 20 students. The results showed that the average pre-test score (30.85) and post-test average score (78.3) increased learning outcomes with an average score of 47.45. It was concluded that descriptively the mathematics learning outcomes of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 13 Lubuklinggau after the application of the collaborative-based problem-based learning model increased. Abstract

This study was conducted to reveal the principal's transformational leadership and organizational communication its effect on teacher organizational commitment. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method with a total sample of 28 teachers. The data collection technique used a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using simple and multiple correlation and regression techniques. The results of this study indicate that the principal's transformational leadership and organizational communication have a joint effect on the variable of teacher organizational commitment by 92.2% which means very strong. So it can be concluded that the better the principal's transformational leadership and organizational communication, the better the teacher's organizational commitment.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background:Based on observations, it was found that patients with suspected TB did sputum examination, but saliva samples were given, so that the quality of the smear preparations was poor and caused false negative results. Patients are advised to give a new sample in the form of mucopurulent so that a better AFB preparation is obtained and the actual results are obtained. Methods: This study aims to determine the quality of acid proof bacteria preparations on the results of the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis patients at Yos Sudarso Hospital, Padang. The research design was cross sectional. Samples were sputum samples from 60 patients. Univariate analysis was conducted to see the frequency distribution of each variable. Bivariate analysis is a statistical analysis used to find the relationship between the quality of acid proof bacteria preparations and the diagnosis of pulmonary TB patients at Yos Sudarso Hospital, Padang. This analysis aims to find the relationship between variables with the statistical test of chi square correlation analysis Results:The results of the study stated that the p value was 0.000, which means <0.05, so it was concluded that there was a significant relationship between the quality of acid proof bacteria preparations and the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis patients. Conclusion:The conclusion of the study, the results of the patient's diagnosis were 33 positive for TB, then the best quality of acid proof bacteria preparations was in the dimensions of size and flatness
