<![CDATA[Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diberi judul “Apresiasi Sastra melalui Media Pop-Up untuk Pembentukan Karakter dan Literasi Budaya”. Kegiatan pengabdian ini memiliki tujuan sebagai berikut; 1) memberikan pelatihan dalam membuat Pop-Up sebagai sebuah media pembelajaran kreatif, 2) memberikan motivasi kepada peserta didik untuk mengenali dan mengapresiasi karya sastra, 3) meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik dalam mengapresiasi karya sastra, 4) memotivasi peserta didik untuk menghargai dan mengembangkan karya sastra, dan 5) membentuk karakter peserta didik melalui apresiasi sastra sesuai dengan nilai-nilai agama dan budaya. Target kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah peserta didik di SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru yang berjumlah 15 orang. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan praktik (latihan). Metode ceramah berupa pemaparan dan penjelasan materi berupa karya sastra, proses mengapresiasinya, dan media Pop-Up. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan berupa demonstrasi apresiasi sastra melalui media Pop-Up. Penyampaian materi dilakukan oleh dosen yang tergabung dalam tim pengusul kegiatan pengabdian ini. <![CDATA[This community service activity is entitled "Filtering K-Pop Culture in Teenagers: Case Study on Students of SMK Negeri 2 Pekanbaru". This community service activity seeks to introduce foreign cultures that enter Indonesia and make significant changes starting from the mindset, behavior, and even the lifestyle of teenagers. KPop culture or known as Hallyu has successfully influenced people's lives, especially teenagers. Teenagers have a high tendency to imitate the lifestyle and attitudes presented by K-Pop culture, such as imitating the style and fashion of idols and even often using Korean when meeting with their friends who both love K-Pop. This is the background for the service team to introduce the ideology carried by K-Pop culture and the negative impacts it causes.]]>

<![CDATA[This writing deals with an analysis of Pantun Kelakar written by Tenas Effendy by focusing on 4 ( four) of them and analysis the animate metaphors ( animal metaphors) used in these four pantuns in exploring how those animate metaphors reflects leaders’ characters. This study is descriptive analysis where this study aims to describe the existing phenomena. In this case, this study describes the animate metaphors in Pantun Kelakar of Tenas effendy which satire leaders. The animal metaphors found in those 4 pantuns are; crocodile, monkey, lion and snake, and those animals are the analogy of leaders whose characters are associated with the characters of the animals in which they are associated with. Crocodile is the metaphor to satire leader who ignore the rules in taking or consuming something which leads to the life without guidance. The monkey is the metaphor to satire a leader who does immoral deeds. A lion is used as the metaphor of powerful leader who destroys his/her people and snake is the metaphor of sly or cunning leader. by describing those metaphors, this analysis may contribute to create awareness for leaders whose characters are reflected by the metaphors to treat this analysis as a self-reminder to change and improve the person’s character. and in the same time, this analysis may also contribute to give knowledge about some kinds of leaders with their specific characters in leading their people]]>

<![CDATA[Advertising is a form of promotion of a product, goods or service by a company to the public. Closely related to promotional events, especially the target market of food lovers, the seasoning company Sasa not only advertises its products but also creates magic through the tagline it uses. The data is in the form of a 1 minute 30 second Sasa ad video downloaded on Sasa's YouTube channel. This advertisement stars Choi Siwon, a famous South Korean singer. Siwon is described as a chef who gives miracles and happiness to everyone through Sasa's seasoning. The analysis was carried out using a descriptive qualitative method with a semiotic approach by Charles Sanders Peirce, namely looking at the signs and meanings that are present as a representation. This study aims to find the meaning contained in the Sasa video advertisement with the tagline "Untuk Hidup Penuh Keajaiban". The data used in the form of verbal and visual that refers to the tagline and the image. The results of the research show that the magic that is given by the Sasa product is to spread happiness throughout the country through the concoction of the Sasa cooking seasoning variant. The tagline and icon used have an influence on the image of a product. From the tagline it is illustrated that the miracle of life can be obtained through Sasa. Likewise with the Sasa and Siwon logos as icons that have become worldwide, namely spreading magic to all connoisseurs of Sasa seasoning.]]>

<![CDATA[Pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan di kampus STAI Hubbulwathan Duri yaitu pelatihan pembuatan konten kreatif menggunakan aplikasi filmora. Latar belakang masalah pada kegiatan ini adalah sangat minimnya video pembelajaran yang dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa untuk kegiatan belajar mengajar. Selain itu, sangat sedikit pengetahuan dosen dalam menggunakan aplikasi pengolah video seperti filmora. Tujuan dari kegiatan pkm ini adalah memberikan edukasi penggunaan aplikasi Filmora dalam pembuatan video. Kegiatan pkm dilaksanakan selama 2 hari dan dihadiri oleh 27 peserta. Berdasarkan hasil sebaran angket saat kegiatan ini diperoleh hasil deskriptif yaitu 99% respon peserta menyatakan bahwa kegiatan pkm ini Memberikan tambahan pengetahuan terhadap penggunaan aplikasi, 95% respon peserta menyatakan bahwa Menyukai materi editing video, 90% respon peserta menyatakan bahwa Program aplikasi ringan dan tidak berat, 90% respon peserta menyatakan bahwa Tim PKM pelatihan bersikap ramah dan sabar, 97% respon peserta menyatakan bahwa Semoga ada pelatihan selanjutnya.]]>

<![CDATA[This service activity aims to stimulate students' interest in reading poetry at SMA Muhammadiyah I Pekanbaru through a poetry musicalisation approach. The service team conducted a situational analysis of the partners and found that the students' interest in reading poetry was low due to the lack of understanding and appreciation of poetry and the lack of students' creativity in presenting poetry. This service activity was also carried out as an effort to develop students' creativity in arts and culture. Creativity can help students develop critical and creative thinking skills, problem solving and innovation in various fields. Poetry musicalisation was chosen as a method in this activity because it can increase the appreciation and understanding of literary works, especially poetry. Poetry musicalisation can make poetry more interesting and easier for students to understand, and improve students' language and artistic skills. This method is effective in increasing the appreciation of poetry and helping students to develop their creative skills.]]>

<![CDATA[Psychological problems in a person can be formed by many factors, including childhood and environmental experiences. Two of the many forms of psychological problems are anxiety and obsessive disorder. This research focuses to analyze the symptoms and effects of anxiety and obsessive disorders suffered by two main characters in Into the Water by Paula Hawkins using the theory of psychoanalysis. This research applies observation techniques in collecting the data from Into the Water novel. The result shows that both main characters experienced different symptoms that affected the way they live their lives. The anxiety in the first main character made it hard for him to differentiate the reality and myth. The obsession in the second main character made her became an intrusive person that interfered with other people’s private problems. This novel contains an ideology that a person may not seem as what he/she really is, as he/she might keep a secret that not everyone knows about.]]>

<![CDATA[This research analyzes the element of anthropomorphism in the classical Malay literary work entitled "The Tale of Bayan Budiman". Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human characteristics and behaviors to non-human entities, such as animals and natural phenomena. In this tale, the main character, a Bayan bird, is depicted as having the ability to speak, give advice, tell stories, and lead like a human. This research employs qualitative textual analysis methods to explore the representations of anthropomorphism in the narrative, dialogues, and descriptions of the text. The findings reveal that anthropomorphism is used to convey moral messages, stimulate the reader's imagination, and reflect the Malay worldview on the relationship between humans and nature. However, anthropomorphism can also obscure the essence and nature of different living beings, especially for child readers. This research contributes to the preservation of Malay literary heritage and provides a deeper understanding of the use of anthropomorphism in classical works]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the Oedipus complex and the hyperactivity symptoms displayed by the protagonist in the movie 'Mommy'. The research problem is that there has been limited psychological analysis of the potential presence of the Oedipus complex and hyperactivity disorder in fictional characters in films. This gap in research warrants a thorough examination of the protagonist in 'Mommy' to gain deeper insight into the depicted psychological intricacies. Qualitative methodology is used, applying Freud's psychoanalytic theory and Russell Barkley's ADHD theory to analyze dialogues and scene depictions from the film. By systematically identifying and categorizing data pertinent to Oedipus complex and hyperactivity symptoms, conclusions are drawn from the findings. The film's protagonist displays symptoms of Oedipus complex, such as seeking excessive attention from their mother, feeling jealousy towards their mother's romantic partner, engaging in inappropriate physical contact, showing anxiety about maternal separation, and developing affection for an older maternal acquaintance. Furthermore, hyperactivity symptoms manifest with excessive speech, heightened motor activity, and intentional agitation of others. This analysis indicates that the film's main character displays signs of the Oedipus complex and hyperactivity disorder. This thorough examination fills the research gap and allows for a more profound comprehension of the psychological intricacies portrayed in the protagonist.]]>

<![CDATA[One of the literary works is poetry. Poetry can be a medium for poets to convey ideas, concepts and thoughts. One of these ideas and thoughts is based on the observations of the environment. It implies that poetry is also related to other fields of study. One of the fields of study that can be related to literary works is ecocriticism. Ecocritics is focused on the relationship between literature and the environment or how the relationship between humans and their physical world are reflected in literary works. In this study, the writer tries to analyze the poetry Talang di Langit Falastin written by Dheni Kurnia through the concept of echocritics as an analytical lens. The result of this study shows that Talang di Langit Falastin illustrates environmental exploitation and pollution caused by political and economic factors. This poem becomes interesting because the poet analogized Talang Mamak and Palestine which are equally oppressed, causing environmental destruction and exploitation. The destruction of the environment in Palestine was caused by the Zionist invaders who bombarded with bombs and nuclear weapons, while the environmental destruction in Talang Mamak was carried out by capitalists who burned forests to open the new land for economic interests that affected the misery of living things in the environment.]]>
