Abstract

Good passing ability is one of the most dominant basic technical skills in futsal. However, based on preliminary observations at Mandala FC Surabaya, the players' passing ability was still not optimal, with an average pretest score of only 23.75 out of a maximum score of 50. This study aims to determine the effect of rondo and passing triangle training on improving the passing ability of futsal players. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest approach. The research subjects consisted of 16 futsal players from Mandala FC Surabaya selected using total sampling technique. The research instrument was a passing skill test including accuracy, ball control, technique, passing speed, and teamwork, which had been tested for validity (CVI = 0.89) and reliability (r = 0.87). The treatment was given for 8 weeks with a frequency of 3 times per week. Data were analyzed using Shapiro-Wilk test, Levene's Test, paired sample t-test, and Cohen's d. The results showed an increase in the average passing ability from 23.75 in the pretest to 41.06 in the posttest (an increase of 72.88%). The paired sample t-test result showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) with an effect size of 3.54 (large category). Therefore, it can be concluded that rondo and passing triangle training have a significant effect on improving the passing ability of futsal players.

Abstract

Accurate shooting ability is one of the most crucial basic skills in futsal; however, the most effective training method to improve it remains a subject of debate. This study aims to analyze and compare the effectiveness of drill shoot training and target training on improving the shooting accuracy of futsal players at SMPN 2 Prambon. A quantitative approach with a Two Group Pretest-Posttest Design was employed, involving 16 players randomly divided into two groups of 8 each. The shooting accuracy test instrument was adopted from Mahanani and Indriarsa (2021) with a validity of r = 0.85 and reliability of α = 0.89. Data analysis was conducted using Paired Samples T-Test, Independent Samples T-Test, and effect size calculation (Cohen's d). The results showed that the drill shoot group experienced an average increase of 9.37 points but was not statistically significant (p = 0.115). Meanwhile, the target training group experienced an average increase of 11.25 points and was statistically significant (p = 0.041). However, the Independent Samples T-Test indicated no significant difference between the two methods (p = 0.531; Cohen's d = 0.32). Therefore, it can be concluded that both methods are equally effective in improving shooting accuracy and can be applied alternately or in combination within a structured futsal training program.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of Zig-Zag Dribbling and Wall Pass training on improving futsal ball control among students of SMP Walisongo Sidoarjo. The research applied a quantitative approach using a true experimental randomized pretest–posttest two-group design. The sample consisted of 20 futsal extracurricular students who were randomly assigned into two treatment groups. Data were collected through ball control skill tests conducted during pretest and posttest sessions. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, normality testing, homogeneity testing, paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test, and analysis of covariance. The results showed that both training methods significantly improved ball control performance. The Zig-Zag Dribbling group demonstrated a higher mean improvement compared to the Wall Pass group. Analysis of covariance indicated a significant difference between groups after controlling initial ability, suggesting that Zig-Zag Dribbling training tends to be more effective in improving students’ ball control. These findings indicate that training emphasizing direction changes and ball-touch control while moving provides stronger stimulation for ball mastery. This study recommends that physical education teachers and futsal coaches integrate both training models in a structured program to enhance students’ fundamental technical skills

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of box jump and standing jump training on the ability of long-distance kick accuracy of soccer players. The method used in this research is an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were 12 soccer players of SSB Kelud Sidoarjo. The research sample consisted of 12 soccer players who were taken using total sampling technique. Data analysis techniques use prerequisite tests in the form of normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis tests. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant increase in the ability of long distance kicks after the box jump training treatment, with an average increase of 8.10%. Meanwhile, standing jump training also shows an increase, but lower, which is 2.73%. The t-test shows that box jump training is more effective than standing jump training in improving long-distance kicking ability, with t count 3.163 > t table 2.228 and a significance value of 0.010 < 0.05. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that box jump training has a greater influence on improving the accuracy of long distance kicks compared to standing jump training.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine which is more influential than the drill shooting training method and target media training on shooting accuracy in SSB Keeltjes Soccer Academy U-12 athletes. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The design used two group pretest and posttest design. The population of this study was 90 athletes who attended SSB Keltjess Soccer Academy aged 12 years. The sample of this study was 20 athletes. To analyze the data using the prerequisite test using SPSS 26. The result is a sig value based on mean 0.383> 0.05, concluded homogeneous data. The shooting drill group sig. (2 tailed) 046 > 0.05 then Ho is accepted, it is concluded that there is no difference in the average results of pretest drill shooting with posttest drill shooting which means there is no effect of drill shooting training on shooting accuracy. Target media group sig. (2 tailed) 0.00 <0.05, then Ha is accepted, it can be concluded that there is an average difference in the pretest results of the target media group with the posttest of the target media group, which means that there is an effect of target media training on shooting accuracy. In conclusion, the 2 groups, namely the drill shooting group and the target media, that target media training is one of the exercises that is effective enough to improve shooting accuracy.
