Abstract

Most energy consumption in the chemical industry is used for temperature change operations. Heat integration method is used to increase energy efficiency on process streams and reducing utility requirement in the production process by installing Heat Exchanger Network (HEN). Design of HEN can be done by software assistance or often called tools for speed up the design time. Therefore software that can be obtained for free and can be developed openly is needed. Program for HEN design is created by Python programming language and applying computational algorithm Maximum Energy Recovery (MER) target calculation using interval-temperature (IT) method and network design using pinch method. The program will be displayed by Graphical User Interface (GUI) using PyQt library on Python.Keyword: heat integration, HEN, software, Python, PyQt

Abstract

Secara umum, kebudayaan NTB terdiri dari tiga suku asli utama, yakni suku sasak di Lombok, suku Mbojo di Bima dan Dompu, suku Samawa di Sumbawa. Kebudayaan suku sasak di Lombok mengalami penurunan minat generasi muda untuk menekuni kesenian tradisional. Untuk menyokong pelestarian dan pengembangan kesenian tradisional maka dibutuhkan gedung Pusat Pelestarian dan Pengembangan Kesenian Tradisional Lombok di Praya, karena jarangnya pertunjukan menyebabkan tradisi Lombok ini berangsur-angsur dilupakan sehingga kepandaian-kepandaian teknik tradisionil yang merupakan salah satu ciri kepribadian setempat, juga terdampak. Agar bisa merangkum kebudayaan Lombok, dan dapat mempermudah akses wisatawan untuk melihat sekaligus mengenal kebudayaan Lombok. Fasilitas ini juga bertujuan untuk memberi informasi sekaligus pengembangan, pelestarian dan juga memperkenalkan kebudayaan Lombok sesuai dengan aspek kebudayaan Lombok meliputi keseniaan serta bangunan adat Lombok merupakan bagian dari wujud kebudayaan. Abstract

The problems that exist in this study are the low activity, critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. This is because the teaching and learning process still applies teacher centered learning, and students have difficulty understanding the material on the socio-cultural diversity of society in Indonesia on Civics subjects. The solution to solving this problem is to use the ENGGRANG learning model which is a combination of the Problem Based Learning, Numbered Head Together, and Talking Stick models. The purpose of this research is to increase educator activity, student activity, critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. This study applied Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in 4 meetings. The perpetrators of this study were fifth grade students at SDN Barambai Kolam Kiri 5, Barambai District, Barito Kuala Regency, with a total of 22 students consisting of 16 male students and 6 female students, in semester 2 of the 2022/2023 academic year. This research was conducted by applying a qualitative and quantitative approach. The data collected is qualitative data obtained through observing the activities of educators, participant activities and critical thinking skills then using quantitative data for student learning outcomes obtained through individual and group evaluations. The results of this study indicate that the teacher's activity at meeting 1 obtained a score of 17, increasing at each meeting until it reached a score of 23 with the "Very Good" criterion at meeting 4. Student activity at meeting 1 obtained a percentage of 29% with the criterion "Active enough", this result increases in each meeting until it reaches 88% with the criteria of "Very Active" at meeting 4. As for critical thinking skills at meeting 1 obtains a percentage of 27% with the criteria of "Quite Skilled", this result increases at each meeting until it reaches 90% with the criteria of "Very Active" at meeting 4. For classical completeness student learning outcomes at meeting 1 obtained a percentage of 74%, and meeting 4 obtained a percentage of 100% with the "Complete" criterion

Abstract

The research problem is students learning outcome. This is because students have difficulty understanding PPKn material in learning, both in terms of concepts and problem solving. Students who still have difficulty in PPKn content will have an impact on their cognitive aspects. In the cognitive aspect, the knowledge transfer process which still takes place in one direction is a conventional method which results in students being passive during the learning process so that they are not able to explore the material in more depth, understand concepts, making it difficult to analyze problem solving. Efforts to overcome this problem are by apply the BE SMART model in learning. Determining the learning outcomes for students is the goal of this study.This research used Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in 4 meetings in VA clas of SDN Telawang 3 Banjarmasin with a total of 22 students. Both qualitative and quantitative methods are used in this study. The dataa taken is qualitative data obtained through observation and then uses quantitative data for student learning outcomes obtained through group and individual written tests. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that using the BE SMART model can improve student learning outcomes. The results of research using the BE SMART model show that learning outcomes in the cognitive aspect increased from 45% to 100%, the affective aspect increased from 45% to 100% and finally the psychomotor aspect from 32% to 100%. In light of the findings of this study, it can be concluded that using the BE SMART model can enhance the educational results of students.

Abstract

Students critical thinking activities and skills are still relatively low. For this reason, an effort was made to overcome this problem by using the PANTING model which is a combination of the Problem Based Learning, Two Stay Two Stray, and Mind Mapping learning models. This research aims to improve the learning process by increasing activity, critical thinking skills, and student learning outcomes through a PANTING learning model. The research implemented Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in 4 meetings. The data collected is qualitative data obtained from observing student activities, teacher activities, and critical thinking skills as well as quantitative data obtained from student learning outcomes. The results of this research show that there has been an increase in teacher activity, student activity, critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes at each meeting. Until finally at the fourth meeting all aspects had achieved the specified success criteria. This improvement makes the learning process even better. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the PANTING model can increase students' activities, critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Isu yang dihadapi dalam penelitian ini ialah rendahnya keterlibatan siswa-siswi dalam pembelajaran dan kurangnya partisipasi siswa-siswi dalam kegiatan belajar. Proses pembelajaran juga cenderung terpusat pada peran guru, yang akhirnya menyebabkan kebosanan dan kesulitan dalam memahami materi, terutama dalam pelajaran IPS. Solusi untuk mengatasi tantangan ini ialah dengan menerapkan model PRAKTIK (Problem Based Learning, Round Robin, Talking Stick) dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi kinerja guru, partisipasi siswa-siswi, dan pencapaian nilai belajar siswa-siswi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dijalankan selama 4 kali pertemuan. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 14 siswa-siswi kelas IV SDN 3 Palam Banjarbaru, terdiri dari 7 siswa-siswi laki-laki dan 7 siswa-siswi perempuan, pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Temuan dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa kegiatan guru meningkat dari pertemuan 1 hingga 4. Persentase kegiatan guru mencapai 60% pada pertemuan 1, 67% pada pertemuan 2, 78% pada pertemuan 3, dan 95% pada pertemuan 4, dengan penilaian "sangat baik." Kegiatan siswa-siswi juga menunjukkan peningkatan, yaitu 29% pada pertemuan 1, 29% pada pertemuan 2, 43% pada pertemuan 3, dan 86% pada pertemuan 4, dengan penilaian "sangat aktif." Nilai belajar siswa-siswi menunjukkan peningkatan pula, yaitu 57% pada pertemuan 1, 50% pada pertemuan 2, 64% pada pertemuan 3, dan 100% pada pertemuan 4. Berdasarkan nilai penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model PRAKTIK dalam pembelajaran IPS efektif dalam meningkatkan kegiatan guru, partisipasi siswa-siswi, dan pencapaian nilai belajar siswa-siswi.

Abstract

The problem in the study lies in the lack of student activity and low curiosity of students which also affects student learning outcomes in Civics content with Theme 7 Beautiful Diversity in My Country. One of the efforts to overcome these problems is to use a combination of Problem Based Learning, Somatis Auditori Visual Intelektual, Think Talk Write learning models. The purpose of this study was to describe the activities of educators and analyze the increase in learner activities, student curiosity and student learning outcomes. This research used Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was conducted in 3 meetings. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of Prince 1 Banjarmasin, totaling 20 students in semester II of the 2023/2024 school year. Data were analyzed qualitatively through observations, namely educator activities, learner activities, curiosity, then quantitative data were analyzed for student learning outcomes through written tests in groups and individuals. The data was analyzed with descriptive techniques and described in the form of tables and graphs. The results of this study indicate that the teacher's activities were carried out "Very Well" with a percentage of 100% implementation of the steps. Student activity at meeting I reached 35% with the criteria "Quite Active" increased at meeting III to 95% with the criteria "Very Active". The character of curiosity at meeting I reached 45% with the criteria "Moderately High" and increased at meeting III to 90% with the criteria "Very High" For student cognitive learning outcomes at meeting I with 55% classical completeness increased at meeting III with 100% classical completeness. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of a combination of PROVIT models can improve the quality of educator activities, student activities, reading and student learning outcomes. The suggestions for principals, teachers and other researchers are that this research can be used as a reference in using learning models that can improve students' activities, curiosity and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the family plays a role in influencing student creativity. Creativity is critical to a child's intellectual and emotional development, and can also impact academic success and social adjustment. This research adopts a qualitative approach using a case study method involving various families with different socio-economic backgrounds. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with parents and teachers as well as observing student activities at home. The findings of this research indicate that support from the family is crucial in facilitating student creativity, including through providing emotional attention, providing educational resources, and creating an environment that supports the exploration of ideas. Apart from that, open education and providing opportunities to try new things have also been proven to contribute to the development of children's creativity. It is hoped that this research can provide understanding for parents, educators and other interested parties to pay more attention to the role of the family in encouraging the growth and development of students' creativity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis kemampuan memori luar biasa yang ditunjukkan oleh 18 dari 28 siswa kelas 2 SDN Melayu 6 Banjarmasin. Mereka mampu menghafal nama negara, warna dan simbol bendera dengan akurasi tinggi. Fenomena ini menarik karena jarang ditemukan pada anak seusianya yang biasanya masih mempelajari keterampilan dasar seperti membaca dan menulis. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor pendukung kemampuan memori siswa, seperti peran lingkungan belajar, strategi pengajaran, dan dukungan keluarga. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi dengan siswa dan guru. Analisis tematik mengidentifikasi pola dan tema yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan memori. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa metode pengajaran interaktif seperti media visual dan permainan edukatif sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa. Namun tantangan seperti kurangnya stimulasi kognitif di rumah dan terbatasnya fasilitas sekolah masih menjadi kendala.
