Abstract

Seeking the truth, for Javanese people, is not solely based on rational consideration. In many cases, this is also correlated with spiritual one, and even, to some extent, the previ- ous is undermined by the latter. This situation poses Javanese people on a cross-road between religion and culture, and for them it is the best way to practice both. Abstract

This research proposes to evaluate a correlation between same-aged friendship interactionand inter-personal competence of students. The population are all students of theFaculty of Psychology and Social and Cultural Science of the Universitas Islam Indonesia.Samples are 25 percent of the population, 315 students, taken through the stratified proportionalrandom. Using a product moment correlation analysis of Pearson, it is revealedthat the value of the correlation between the same-aged interaction and inter-personalcompetence is 0.457 (p=0.000). This shows a significant correlation between these variables.Keywords: same-age friendship, interpersonal competence, correlation.

Abstract

An important step to attain goodprocess for nationai integrity is to demolish some negative aspects of cultural behavior. The autonomy must be put in the hand of local government, psychological gap among public servants, 'distance' between the leaders and ordinary people must be minimized. Beside debirocratization is a compulsory, legal certainty must be enforced. Indeed, the equal chance to get the rightsmust be available foreveryone.

Abstract

The article below investigates the urgent need of a social capital fornational leader, especially in the context of Indonesian leader who chosen after public election 2004 in Indonesia. Social capital interm of psychology constitutes a traits that embedded at individu that forming the values of life, and those of regulations to facilitate a good cooperation. Talking the problem of Indonesian leadership nowadays, the expectation that emeges that leader who chosen by public election April, 5, 2004 is a leader really who characterized by Putnam, honesty and egalitarian who treate himself/ herself as a part of society. Hence, the important of the people of Indonesia direct, correct, control their leader so that they return to right way.

Abstract

A member of International aid from Tiongkok Wu Min recently has finistied the task at disaster region of tsunami and returned to the mother land. The press has chance to interview Wu Min. Wu Min is still look tired, always feel tired body, can not sleep, decrease willing to eatso that his bodyweight is decrease drastically. Although Wu Min has come back to home, but still shadow in Wu Min's memory the situation of disaster at the field where tsunami happened, instead, it is difficult to lose from mind. Wu Min told that he undergoes many accidents in conducting aid activities to the victims at the field, and Wu Min sees by eyes the situation of disaster above-mentioned. Because of heart and feeling shockdown and work so hard at that region, Wu Min is look like rather depression (Radio of China broadcasting in Indonesia).

Abstract

The chances to study abroad in 1970s are more use for graduate program either master or PhD program. These chances are also use for secondary schools or pre-universities. Those phenomena happened in 1990s. But in recent time, to study abroad seem more opportunities. The consequencies of Indonesian participation as a member of World Trade Organization ( WTO) and that of the global competition to make this nation-should receive the entering of foreign universities. In this sense, should many foreign universities in Indonesia impact to developing Indonesian universities? Or conversely as the beginning of destructing Indonesian universities?

Abstract

The arising of illegal political groups relatively represent the Indonesian leadership patterns. In ORBA, these groups emerge as the manifestation of the twarthened politic communication and of the oppresive policy in finding the conflict solutions. There are many various kinds of illegal political groups that generally can be assimilated as reaction toward the unsolved crisis and ofimbalance development policies that destroy the human values. As a response to the illegal politic groups whose emergences are identified as violence movements, the government should make any systematical improvements. One of them-according to the writer of this book-should be conducted by maintaining the democracy in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article explores the fundamentalism as a transition ideology. Actually religion is not only covers the doctrine the relationship between God and man, but it also gives the contribution to solve the critical problem of human being such as social, politic, culture problem in accordance with the substance of humanity. Because of the universality of religion that mentioned above, that is the ideal function of religion. In fact, the recent accidents in human life for instance, modernity and the tragedy of World Trade Center September, 11, 2001 indicate that religion (Islam) does not coincide with peace horizon, so Islam is regarded as a religion of fundamentalism. According to writer that fundamentalism is a kind of self defense mechanism of the communities of religion, particularly the community of Muslim how to face the problem of politic, culture, social life etc. It will and always present inhuman history, but the term that refers to it depending on who gives the name to them.
