Abstract

Abstarct: Comunication deliveries sentences and also sound imitation. Sound imitation or onomatopoeia can be found in oral/spoken language and written language. In a sentence, onomatopoeia has variations of type and gramatica function. This study aims to describe the types of phonology structure and gramatica functions of the onomatopoeia found on novel Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu. The onomatopoeia found on the sentences of the novel was chosen as the data of this study. The theory used in this study are the types of onomatope theory by Akimoto (2002), the part of speech theory by Murakami (1986), and the technique of lesap theory by Sudaryanto (1993) with descriptive-qualitative method. The result after the data has been analysed, six types of onomatopoeia on this novel are found chouon (long vowel), sokuon (dental consonant), hanpukukei (reduplication), hatsuon (nasal), double onomatopoeia, and suffix ri. Then, five types of gramatica functios are found verb, adjective, noun, adverb, and phrase. Then, new development was found, onomatopoeia is able to be removed if the predicate of the sentence is present and unable to be removed if the predicate of the sentence is missing.Key Words: Onomatopoeia, novel,sentences

Abstract

Abstract: The research discussed about the code switching in Darin Wa Gaikokujin movie. The aim of this research is to know the kinds of code switching in Darin Wa Gaikokujin movie and the function of code switching in Darin Wa Gaikokujin movie. The object of this research is the sentences which have code switching in Darin Wa Gaikokujin movie. This research is a qualitative research which used descriptive method. The results of this research indicate; there are three kinds of code switching in this movie, which are inter-sentential switching, intra-sentential switching and tag switching and then there are eight function of code switching, existing in the analysis of data, which include Reiteration, Aggravating massage, Personalization, Substitution, Emphasis, Clarification, Interjection, Parenthesis, Quotation dan Topic shift.Key Word : Code switching, Movie, Darin Wa Gaikokujin

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine reading comprehension in the Dokkai 4 courses after the application of the Cooperative Learning methods type Student Teams Achivement Divisions (STAD) with the learning design using JF Standard. This research used a weak experiment of one group pretest posttest design. Object of this research is Japanese languange education studensts at the University of Riau in 2016 class B consisted of 30 students. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The study applies two tests, pretest and posttest. Result of pretest and posttest were processed using test of Wilcoxon on The SPSS software. The pretest average score obtained by students was 39,5 and the posttest average increased to 78,3. Therefore there was a significant effect on reading comprehension in the subject after applying Cooperative Learning methods type Student Teams Achivement Divisions (STAD) in the 2016 Japanese languange education studensts class B at the University of Riau.Key Words: Dokkai, Cooperative Learning type STAD, JF Standar

Abstract

Abstract: The research analyze the differences uses tsumori da and ki da as modalities of intention in Japanese, and how tsumori da and ki da are used when subtituted. The purpose of this research is to understand about the differences using tsumori da and ki da as modalities of intention in Japanese. Data for analyzing taken from www.kotonoha.gr.jp/shonagon/. The used methods in this research is descriptive with the theory of modality. Technique used in analyzing data in the research that is by using substitution. The conclusion of analyzed data tsumori da and ki da exchangeable, but not all of them can be replaced, depending on which persona is using tsumori da and ki da.Keyword: Modality

Abstract

Abstract : This research is discuss the comprehension of the use of setsuzokushi ~te kara and ~ta atode by the II, III, IV grade students of Japanese Language Education Study Program University of Riau academic year 2016/2017. The purpose of this research is to measure students ability in using setsuzokushi ~te kara and ~ta atode. Then, to know the difficulty of the use setsuzokushi ~te kara and ~ta atode. This research used quantitative descriptive method by using survey as the research design. The data were obtained by using test and interview the respondents. This research was done as a quantitative research in the field of education. All data processed using statistic method and the result converted by descriptive method to describe the result. Based on the results of the test, it can be seen that the overall level of students' understanding of the use of setsuzokushi ~te kara and ~ta atode is at level D or less, at the interval 40-54,99 with an average of 52.58. The test results show that the highest score is 80 and the lowest score is 30. And highest average score by IV grade students is 55, after that by III grade students is 52. The lowest average score by II grade students is 50,75. The test result also supported by the interview result, respondents are always have a problem in using setsuzokushi ~te kara and ~ta atode. Moreover, based on the interview result respondents are difficult to differentiate between setsuzokushi ~te kara and ~ta atode, and the lack of vocabulary mastery.Keywords : Analysis Understanding, Conjunction (setsuzokushi) ~te kara, Conjunction(setsuzokushi) ~ta atode

Abstract

Abstract : This research is about learning motivation kanji on students of Japanese Language Education Study Program University of Riau . The purpose of this research is to find out how much the learning motivation students, what factors affecting the learning motivation students, and to know the response of students toward kanji in Japanese. Respondents in this research are 112 students of Japanese Language Education Study Program University of Riau. This research is used quantitative descriptive method. The result of this research shows that the learning motivation student is considered to be higher as much as 78.36%. In this research known that the factors were affecting the learning motivation students about kanji, are materials and method of learning, media and facilities of learning, teacher’s attitude, and the presence of friends. Student’s response are, 1) 69% student said that kanji is the likeable lesson. 2) 100% student said that kanji is important to learned, 3) 67% student said that learning kanji is not boring. 4) 95% student said that kanji is unique.Key words : motivation, learning motivation kanji

Abstract

Abstrack:In Japanese, idioms are called “kanyouku”, are build from a lot of word such as sense, body part, numeral, colour, nature thing, animal and plant. The purpouse of this research is to determine the lexical meaning and idiomatical meaning of the kanyouku which contains the word te and find out the structure of the formation of kanyouku te. Researchers obtained the data from the modern Japanese-Indonesian kanji dictionary, the Japanese-Japanese dictionary Kenji Matsuura, and the online dictionary Goo Jisho, Kotowza Kanyouku Hakkajiten, etc. The method used in this research is descriptive method. In collecting data library research is used, that is, using written sources to obtain data. The technique used in the collection of research data is the listening method. The theory used in this study is the theory of Muneo Inoue and Momiyama. The anaysis of data in this research are there are 18 kanyouku that use the word te. Based on data analysis that has been done shows that the word 手 te in forming idioms can produce a type of meaning consisting of 5 data which stated karada, seikaku, taido wo arawasu kanyouku (personality) 8 data which started Koui, dousa,koudou wo arawasu kanyouku (action) , and 5 data which stated Jouta, teidou,kachiw o arawasu kanyouku (condition and value). Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know the types and influences of language variation of japanese apologize in informal language based on language variation factors. They are sosiolect, idiolect and situational factor. Data is taken from Japanese animation titled “Kuroko no Basuke” by Tadatoshi Fujimaki episode 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 23. Data collection‟s method is “simak” method and using a “simak bebas libat cakap” technic and taking note method. Data analyse‟s method is identity method and using a dividing-key-factors technique. Based on this research, founded 11 types of japanese apologize in informal language. They are sumimasen, suimasen, sumimasen deshita, sumanai, suman, suman na, suman no, gomen, gomen ne, warui and warukatta. The using those types is influenced by three sosiolect aspect. They are age, sex and profession. Idiolect and situasional factor also have an influence of using the japanese apologize in informal language.Keywords: apologize, language variation, sosiolect, idiolect

Abstract

Abstract: Dialect is one of language variations. Japan is the one of many countries in the world that has many variations of dialects. One of them is Ibaraki dialect. Ibaraki is a prefecture of Japan located in Kanto region near Tokyo with Mito as The Capital city. Ibaraki dialect is not really well-known like The Osaka dialect or Kyoto dialect but it is exist. Ibaraki's native speaker is more known as Ibarakian, but not all Ibarakian is speaking the dialect. The Ibaraki dialect's structure is not really complicated and does not has so many variations but it has a special pronounciation that makes it well-recognised. There are three problems to be solved for the study, namely: (1) How is the comparison of Ibaraki dialect with The Standard Japanese phonologically, (2) morphologically and (3) lexically. This study is using quantitative description. The data source is a textbook whose title is Gojappedia Tanoshiku Manabu Ibaraki Ben and a couple of native speakers which happened to be lecturers in one of the Ibaraki Prefecture's University located in Hitachi, the Ibaraki Christian University. The results will be collected, tabulated, classified, then analyzed. As the results, there are 72 datas in total of the comparison, there are 7 datas in morphology, 38 datas of phonology, and 26 datas of lexical.Key Words: Ibaraki dialect, The Standard Japanese, Morphology, Phonology, Lexical

Abstract

Abstract: This research discuses about translation of Indonesian phatic words into Japanes. On this research, writer using descriptive qualitative method with phatic theory by Kridalaksana (1986) and translation method by Newmark (1988). After collecting data on the webtoon, writer found 17 types of phatic words, it’s ah, deh, dong, kan, kek, kok, -lah, lho, nah, pun, sih, toh, ya, yah, ayo, halo and selamat. The results of this research, not all Indonesian phatic words are translated into phatic word in Japanese, because in Japanese there is no class of phatic word like Indonesian language. Translation tends to use communicative translation methods ehich only find the right equivalent in Japanese according to the context of the sentence and structure of the Japanese language.Key Words: Translation, Phatic Word, Webtoon.
