Abstract

Along with the rapid development of science and technology, education is increasing. The improvement of education has encouraged the development of learning methods, techniques, approaches and models that allow students to play an active role in constructing their knowledge. One of them is the 5E learning cycle model.  This study aims to analyse the effect of the 5E learning cycle model on physics learning in terms of education level, grade level, research type, subject matter and learning needs. The method used is a quantitative meta-analysis of SINTA accredited national articles, proceedings and international articles with the latest ten years, namely 2013-2023. Data analysis using effect size. The results of the analysis show that overall the learning cycle 5E model has an effect on physics learning with a high effect interpretation. Therefore, the learning cycle 5E model as a whole can improve students' learning achievement and can be used as an alternative in learning, especially physics. Thus, students can learn actively, effectively and can develop their creativity in solving problems. Thus, the 5E learning cycle model is very influential and effective in learning in general, especially in physics learning and can be applied to 21st century skills.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran fisika dengan kerja laboratorium ditinjau dari ketercapaian pemahaman konsep fisika, sikap disiplin dan tangung jawab siswa SMA. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri Megang Sakti, dengan sampel 2 kelas MIA, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan pengelajaran dengan menggunakan kerja laboratorium dan kelas kontrol dengan perlakuan penmbelajaran dengan demonstrasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan capaian pemahaman konsep fisika, sikap disiplin dan tangung jawab siswa antara pembelajaran dengan kerja laboratorium dan demonstrasi. Berdasarkan hasil uji gain, pembelajran fisika dengan kerja laboratorium lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan demonstrasi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika, sikap disiplin dan tangung jawab siswa SMA.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the questionnaire quality based on: (1) content validity, and (2) empirical testing. The research was research and development using the 4-D model (defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stage). The instrument validation was conducted by an instrument expert, two physics teachers, and five peer reviewers. The subject of empirical testing was 206 students of class XII IPA SMAN 6 Yogyakarta in the 2019/2020 school year. The research instrument was a questionnaire of student’s scientific attitude (SSA) that consists of 20 statement items. The data were analyzed using the raw scale for content validity of the SSA questionnaire, and Product Moment Pearson for empirical testing validation using SPSS 16, and Cronbach’s Alpha value to determine the reliability. The results show that (1) all items of the SSA questionnaire meet content validity with raw scale score between 3.75 and 4, which means on excellent category; (2) the SSA questionnaire meet empirical validity with Product Moment Pearson r between 0.186 and 0.595; all r > rtable: 0.138 (n=206; α = 0.05), and meet reliability with Cronbach’s Alpha value between 0.724 and 0.756; all value > 0.60; which means the SSA questionnaire are feasible to use based on empirical testing

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA Terpadu model webbed dengan pendekatan inquiry yang dikembangkan dan mengetahui besarnya tingkat science process skill siswa menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA Terpadu model webbed dengan pendekatan inquiry pada tema hujan asam bagi lingkungan. Penelitian pengembangan ini meliputi silabus, RPP dan LKS dengan menggunakan model 4-D yang terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian (Define), tahap perencanaan (Design), tahap pengembangan (Develop), dan tahap penyebaran (Dessiminate), tetapi pada tahap penyebaran (dessiminate) tidak dilakukan. Berdasarkan validasi oleh 2 dosen ahli, 2 guru mata pelajaran IPA dan 2 teman sejawat layak digunakan sebagai perangkat pembelajaran, karena nilai rerata silabus dan RPP dalam kategori baik dari nilai maksimal 5, sedangkan nilai rerata LKS pada aspek kelayakan isi mencapai 29,66 dari nilai maksimal 45dalam kategori baik, nilai rerata aspek kesesuaian kebahasaan isi mencapai 12 dari nilai maksimal 15 dalam kategori baik, nilai rerata penyajian isi mencapai 17,5 dari nilai maksimal 25 dalam kategori baik, dan aspek kegrafikan isi nilai rerata 13,66 dari nilai maksimal 20 dalam kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba lapangan, keterampilan proses siswa dalam aspek menyusun hipotesis meningkat sebesar 19,4%, aspek mengamati meningkat 21,4%, aspek melakukan eksperimen meningkat 37,4%, aspek mengkomunikasikan meningkat sebesar 21,2% dan menyimpulkan meningkat sebesar 16,8%.Kata kunci: Perangkat Pembelajaran IPA Terpadu, Model Webbed, Pendekatan Inquiry, Science Process SkillAbstractThe research was aimed at to to determine the feasibility of Integrated Science learning device models webbed with inquiry approach developed and determine the level of science process skills students use learning device models Integrated Science webbed with inquiry approach to the theme of acid rain on the environment." Acid Rain for the Environment". The reaserch of development are syllabus, lesson plans, and students worksheet with used 4-D model development which consist of define, design, develop and dessiminate, but dessiminate stage is not done. Based on validation by 2 expert lecturers, 2 subject teachers and 2 peers viewer are feasible to used syllabus, lesson plans and students worksheet Integrated science. because the average value of syllabus category of good, while average value worksheets the aspect value of suitability contents/material reached 29,66 from maximum value 45 in good category,the average value of the linguistic aspects of the suitability of the contents reached 12 out of a maximum value of 15 in both categories, the average value of presentation of the contents reached 17.5 from a maximum value of 25 in both categories, and aspects of the content kegrafikan 13.66 average value of a maximum value of 20 in both categories. Bassed on field testin can develop the aspects of science process skills, consist of skill to make hypotheses (up to 19,4), skill to observe (up 21,4%), skills to do experiment (up to 37.4%), skill to communicate (up to 21.2%), and skill to conclude (up 16,8%).Key words: Syllabus, Lessons Plans and Students worksheet Integrated Science, Webbed Model, Inquiry Approach, Scientific Process Skill.
