Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop an interactive learning media in the form of an Augmented Reality (AR)-based flashcard that is used to introduce sexual education to children at the pre-operational stage or early childhood and determine its feasibility level.The research method used is the Research and Development (R and D) method. The stages of development using the Sugiyono model, namely: 1). Potential and problems, 2). Data collection, 3). Product design, 4). Product validation, 5). Design revision, 6). Product trial. Data collection techniques in this study are observation and questionnaires. Subjects at the product trial stage were 4 children. The data analysis technique used in this research is by using descriptive analysis techniques. There are three instruments used in this study, namely instruments for media experts, material experts and instruments filled out by parents.The results showed that AR-based Flashcard Sex Education for children in the pre-operational stage was considered very good by media experts with a score of 80.36%%. The results of the validation by material experts showed a score of 92.86% which means very good. The results of the trial on 4 early childhood children also showed very good results with a score of 92.05%. So based on the scores obtained, it shows that the AR-based Sex Education Flashcard is feasible and can be used as a learning medium.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian antara pelaksanaan pembelajaran Program Studi (Prodi) DKV di ASRD MSD Yogyakarta dengan standar atau kriteria yang telah dirumuskan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan menggunakan model evaluasi kesenjangan. Subjek atau responden adalah Ketua Program Studi, dosen dan mahasiswa Prodi DKV MSD Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menempuh 5 tahap, yaitu: penyusunan desain, penetapan kelengkapan program, pengumpulkan data, pengukuran tujuan atau analisis data, dan perbandingan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman. Data kuesioner dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dengan skala 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada Prodi DKV MSD Yogyakarta belum sesuai dengan Permendikbud No. 49 Tahun 2014. Hasil penilaian mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran di Prodi DKV MSD berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai 3,20. Pembelajaran di Prodi DKV MSD Yogyakarta perlu dilaksanakan sesuai dengan Permendikbud No. 49 Tahun 2014. Kata Kunci: pelaksanaan pembelajaran, perencanaan pembelajaranTHE EVALUATION OF INSTRUCTIONAL IMPLEMENTATION OF VISUAL COMMUNICATION DESIGN STUDY PROGRAM IN MSD YOGYAKARTA Abstract This research aims to determine the suitability of the instructional implementation in Visual Communication Design (VCD) Study Program of MSD Yogyakarta Design and Art Academy with standard or criteria which have been formulated. This research was an evaluation research study that refers to the discrepancy evaluation model. The subjects consisted of the head of study program, lecturers and students of VCD study program MSD Yogyakarta. The research was conducted in five stages: design preparation, determination of the program’s completeness, data collection, purpose measurement or data analysis, and comparison. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document searches, and were analyzed using an interactive analysis model proposed by Miles and Huberman. The questionnaire data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis in the scale 4. The result of the study shows that instructional implementation in Visual Communication Design Study Program of MSD Yogyakarta is not suitable to the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 49, 2014. The result of student assessment indicates that the instructional implementation in VCD MSD Yogyakarta is categorized good with the value of 3.20. The instructional implementation in Visual Communication Design Study Program of MSD Yogyakarta needs to be adjusted with the National Standards for Higher Education the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 49, 2014 for the instructional implementation can be presented. Abstract

This study aims to describe how to use Augmented Reality (AR) in introducing sexual education for preschoolers. This AR-based learning media helps provide an interactive and interesting learning experience. In addition, AR-based learning media in the form of flashcards with an application installed on the Andorid-based smartphone supports preschoolers to study their body parts without limitation of time and place. The integration of AR in the learning of preschool children aims to facilitate parents and teachers as the ideal figure to provide sexual education for their children.The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The data collection technique uses three techniques: interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data was tested using data triangulation techniques and triangulation methods. Data analysis uses a data reduction process flow, data presentation and verification or conclusion.The results showed that through this AR-based media preschooler learned pictures and songs about which parts of the body they should touch, and which should not be touched. The application of this media is not only carried out by teachers at school but also allows it to be used by parents at home. Therefore, parents will contribute actively to introduce sex education to their children.

Abstract

The use of technology has become more inseparable as a part of the learning process in and out of the class. It offers various new tools that can be utilized by both learners and teachers. Microsoft Immersive Reader (MIR) is one of learning tools which equipped with various features to help students reading comprehension. In addition, to assist teacher in using technology in classroom, SMAR model serves as a framework which allows the teacher to assess their use of technology and determine the level of technology integration in their classroom. This study focuses on how to utilize MIR with SMAR model in reading class. The study was conducted at English Education Department. There were 1 lecturer and 35 students of the second semester who took part as repsondents. The data were gathered from observation and interview. The result shows that the lecturer gives psotive view that MIR will improve the quality of teaching and learning and also improve students’ motivation in learning reading. The students viewed the use MIR as motivating, and various features on MIR enabled them to understand the assigned reading topic much easier. Moreover, the reading assignment incorporating the use of MIR features encouraged them to actively participate in reading activities in a collaborative atmoshphere.

Abstract

The study aims to find out the effectiveness of the discussion forum on Moodle based elearning to improve students learning participation. The study employs pre-experiment method with one group pretest-posttest design and analysis method uses non-parametric statistics with T-test. The study is conducted at Information Technology Department of Faculty of Education at University of Technology Yogyakarta. The research sample is taken from the fourth semester student of Information Technology Education Department who enroll theory course. Instrument used in this study is guided observation to observe students learning participation with 2 answer alternatives. The study result shows that discussion forum on Moodle based e-learning can improve students learning participation compared to discussion occurred in the conventional classroom or classical discussion with the significant result of improvement for about 37%.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian masyrakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran menggunakan canva untuk guru di SD Negeri Gabahan, Sumberadi, Mlati, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah guru tidak memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan terkait penggunaan canva. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni, diikuti oleh 12 orang guru. Pengabdian dilakukan dengan pendampingan dari tim dosen UTY. Tahapan pelaksaan kegiatan ini adalah menentukan mitra, observasi dan wawancara, menentukan pelatihan, pembuatan materi, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi kegiatan. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan memberikan pengantar tentang tools yang terdapat pada canva dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran menggunakan canva. Kegiatan ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangan media pembelajaran. Hasil dari pelaksaan ini adalah 82% guru mampu mengembangan media pembelajaran dengan baik, dan 18% belum dapat mengembangan media pembelajaran dengan baik. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pengabdian masyarakat ini mampu meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangan media pembelajaran menggunakan canva.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi mengusai semua bidang, terutama bidang Pendidikan. Kegiatan ujian berbasis paperless diwajibkan pemerintah dilakukan oleh semua sekolah. Banyak siswa yang belum memiliki kemampuan dalam komputer dasar sehingga mereka kesulitan dalam mengerjakan ujian dalam bentuk paperless. Permasalahan tersebut diselesaikan dengan mengadakan pelatihan Peningkatan Keterampilan Komputer bagi Siswa SD N 1 Sinduadi, Sleman yang dilakukan selama dua minggu. Pelaksanaan ini dilakukan dengan pendampingan dari tim dosen Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta. Kegiatan ini dilakukan untuk mengatasi kesulitan siswa dalam mengoperasikan komputer dasar. Hasil dari pelaksaan ini adalah  78% siswa mampu meningkatkan kompetensi mengoperasikan komputer dasar dengan baik, dan 22% belum dapat menguasai komputer dasar dengan baik

Abstract

The development of digital technology drives innovation in education, including in delivering more interactive learning materials. However, the use of technology in learning at the elementary school level is still limited, as in SD Gambiranom, Sleman. This study aims to improve teachers' skills in creating animation-based learning media using Powtoon through a training program. The methods used include observation, interactive workshops, mentoring, and evaluation. The evaluation results showed that 85% of participants considered the training materials clear and easy to understand, 78% felt more confident in creating animated media, and 88% considered this training useful for learning. The main obstacles faced include access to devices and the internet, limited time, and adaptation to technology. To overcome these challenges, further training, infrastructure improvements, and learning communities between teachers are recommended. Thus, Powtoon training has proven effective in improving teachers' skills, which is expected to have a positive impact on the quality of learning in elementary schools.
