Abstract

Kegiatan praktikum kimia dasar terbiasa dengan jurnal praktikum berbentuk cookbook sehingga belum dapat melatih keterampilan sains (KPS) mahasiswa secara optimal. Perlu adanya panduan yang dapat melatih KPS dan melatih mahasiswa membangun serta memahami konsep kimia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan panduan praktikum berbasis keterampilan proses sains dan asesmen autentik di Universitas Kuningan Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (RD). Tahapan metode penelitian, yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation yang dikembangkan oleh Reiser dan Mollenda. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar validasi tim expert, lembar kuesioner respon mahasiswa, dan asesmen penilaian KPS pada saat praktikum. Hasil uji validasi tim ahli didapat 3,16 (cukup valid), hasil uji kelayakan didapat nilai sebesar 79% (layak). Hasil Pengujian validitas instrument menggunakan metode Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) diperoleh nilai Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy (KMO MSA) sebesar 0.536 0.5, yang berarti instrumen valid. Hasil penilaian KPS  mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa panduan praktikum berbasis keterampilan proses sains dan asesmen autentik  dapat meningkatkan KPS mahasiswa dengan nilai gain sebesar 0,52 kategori peningkatan sedang. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa panduan praktikum berbasis keterampilan proses sains dan asesmen autentik cukup valid dan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran kimia dasar 1.Kata kunci: panduan prakikum, keterampilan proses sains (KPS)

Abstract

Desa Tarikolot merupakan sebuah desa yang berada di daerah perbatasan kabupaten kuningan dengan kabupaten Cirebon. Sebagian besar masyarakat memiliki keterampilan membuat alat-alat kebersihan seperti sapu, sikat, keset dll, sehingga desa tarikolot mendapat julukan desa penghasil alat-alat kebersihan. Perlu adanya peningkatan keterampilan selain membuat sapu, salahsatunya adalah keteampilan membuat sabun pencuci piring bagi ibu ibu PKK di desa Tarikolot agar membantu membuat peluang usaha baru dan meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan meliputi 3 tahapan dianataranya; persiapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi. Kegiatan persiapan diawali dengan; observasi ke desa tarikolot dan melakukan percobaan sederhana membuat sabun dengan melibatkan mahsiswa. Kegiatan pelaksanaan yaitu dengan melakukan penyuluhan pembuatan sabun pada ibu ibu PKK, serta melakukan sosialisasi produk sabun yang sudah dibuat kepada warga-warga desa tarikolot. Kegiatan evaluasi dilakukan dengan memberikan angket kepada ibu-ibu PKK yang sudah mendapatkan pelatihan. Manfaat dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah masyarakat diharapkan ibu ibu PKK memiliki keterampilan membuat sabun serta membuka peluang usaha baru yang dapat menambah pendapatan keluarga.

Abstract

The demands of students in the 21st century are one of them being able to communicate effectively. In order to achieve these demands students must have scientific literacy skills. The ADI model is designed to help students understand how to make scientific explanations, generalize scientific facts, use data to answer scientific questions and reflect on the work they have done. The ADI model syntax can facilitate scientific literacy skills. This study aims to determine the effect of the ADI model based on blended learning on the scientific literacy abilities of SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan students and to determine student responses to the ADI model and blended learning. This study was designed using the Pretest – Posttest Control Group design. The population of this study were all students of class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan for the 2020/2021 academic year. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Data collection with description tests, questionnaires and documentation. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the application of the ADI model using the t test obtained 2.61 1.98 meaning that the application of the Blended Learning-based Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning model could affect students' scientific literacy skills on the concept of the Dangers of Cigarettes in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan supported by questionnaire data shows a response agreeing that students' scientific literacy skills can be facilitated by applying the ADI model based on Blended Learning.

Abstract

The Merdeka Belajar policy essentially aims to accelerate the achievement of national goals of education. One of the major changes in the policy is the implementation of the National Assessment (NA) which substitutes national exams and changes the focus of assessment into literacy and numeracy skills. This leads to a demand for teacher to adapt learning process and classroom assessment for facilitating students’ literacy and numeracy skills. Therefore, teacher understanding about the element in national assessment is a very important factor in the implementation of National Assessment. As the response, this study collects data about teacher understanding from 100 elementary and junior high school teachers in the Kuningan Regency area. The results shows that the elementary and junior high school teachers already have a good understanding of the objectives of NA and awareness that the implementation of NA would have an impact on providing a more varied learning and assessment experience. However, it is shown that the good understanding and awareness is not supported by capability to develop literacy and numeracy questions. The support for improving capability in making questions that align with the NA is needed in order to provide appropriate measurement and assessment of student learning outcomes and provide the basis for decision making in the classroom learning process.

Abstract

The primary goal of the curriculum is to help students develop into individuals with high reasoning power and critical thinking abilities that are up to date demands during the learning process. However, students' critical thinking abilities are actually below average. The study's objective was to investigate how students' critical thinking abilities were affected by the PBL model and TikTok media. Pretest and posttest group designs were used in the quasi-experimental research design. For the 2022/23 school year, all class X students at SMAN 1 Garawangi serve as the research population. Using the purposive sampling method, samples were taken. Through questionnaires and essay tests, gather research data. then processed using methods of quantitative data analysis. The most noteworthy sign of decisive reasoning abilities is deciding an activity because of the utilization of TikTok media in the PBL model. so that students can figure out how to solve the poorly structured problems and better understand them. The hypothesis test with the t test yielded results of 3.98 1.99, indicating that the PBL model and TikTok media have a significant impact on students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

Students are required to have competencies in accordance with the needs of the 21st century, one of which is critical thinking skills. However, within the scope of education in Indonesia, critical thinking skills have not been able to be developed due to the low diversity of the learning process and the teacher's ignorance of each student's learning style. The inquiry model is applied to facilitate students development of critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze: 1) the effect of the inquiry learning model on students' critical thinking skills; 2) the influence of learning styles on students' critical thinking skills; and 3) the interaction between inquiry learning models and learning styles on students' critical thinking skills. This is quasi-experimental research. The research method used was quasi-experimental with Nonequivalent Pretest and post-test Control-Group Design. The data were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA test with a significance level of 5%. Based on the research results, the following results were obtained: 1) The inquiry learning model influences critical thinking skills; 2) Students' learning styles do not affect critical thinking skills; and 3) There is no interaction between the inquiry learning model and students' learning styles on critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat akan pentingnya memilih makanan sehat dan bergizi, macam bahan tambahan pangan (BTP) alami dan sintetis, dampak negatif bagi kesehatan dengan adanya penambahan bahan tambahan pangan sintetis dan ilegal yang dapat menurunkan kadar gizi pada makanan bahkan menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi menunjukkan banyaknya masyarakat yang belum memperhatikan kandungan bahan tambahan pangan yang beredar dimasyarakat. Oleh karena itu, pentingnya pengetahuan tentang bahan-bahan tambahan pangan sintetis yang berbahaya dari segi jenis dan ciri, mengetahui ciri-ciri makanan yang mengandung zat atau bahan tambahan pangan berbahaya, dan mengidentifikasi kandungan bahan tambahan pangan berbahaya seperti formalin dan boraks pada makanan bagi masyarakat. Sasaran pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah warga Desa Sindangagung Kecamatan Sindangagung di Kabupaten Kuningan. Pelaksanaan mencakup penyuluhan, demonstrasi dan praktek identifikasi kandungan formalin dan boraks. Tim pelatihan terdiri dari tim dosen berjumlah tiga orang dan tiga orang mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan 88% peserta sangat setuju dan 12% setuju dengan kepuasan kegiatan identifikasi zat berbahaya pada makanan. Hasil 75% peserta menyatakan sangat setuju dan 25% setuju dengan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengidentifikasi zat berbahaya pada makanan. Sedangkan pada aspek solusi yang ditawarkan 100% peserta menyatakan setuju dengan solusi yang ditawarkan berkaitan dengan identifikasi zat berbahaya pada makanan yang dikonsumsi warga sehari-hari.

Abstract

Developing technology-based teaching materials that are more innovative, creative, effective, efficient and contextual is a demand in learning. Lecturers are required to be able to develop media and teaching materials by utilizing technological advances. The aim of this research is to develop complete teaching materials or modules consisting of materials, student worksheets, evaluations, assessment techniques and learning videos to improve students' mastery of concepts using the sigil application. The characteristics of the module developed is a digital module based on mini research, where mini research learning can improve students’, problem solving abilities and integrated science process skills. The method in this research is the Design and Development Research method with the PPE model which includes 3 stages: Planning, Production, and Evaluation. The results of the research are digital modules based on mini PPE research models, planning by analyzing the need to design flowcharts and story boards from digital modules, production by creating digital modules, namely compiling the module framework and endocrinology material in Microsoft Word software (html format) the file is opened in the software sigil editor is saved in epub format, evaluation by material experts and media experts by assessing the feasibility of the digital sigil module based on mini research in endocrinology learning. The results of the validity test based on the appropriate aspects of content, language and presentation are valid. The results of the practicality test by students on the aspects of content, language and usefulness are valid. Mini-research-based digital modules using sigil software are valid, practical and suitable for use in Endocrinology courses with the advantage of facilitating thinking skills and increasing student learning independence.
