Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan self-explanation mahasiswa terhadap penyusunan soal cerita materi pecahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan memberikan tes yang ditindaklanjuti dengan wawancara untuk menggali lebih dalam tentang pemahaman keputusan yang diambil. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: (1) pada soal pertama, partisipan memunculkan perbedaan pada kategori positive dan negative understanding monitoring; (2) pada soal kedua, perbedaan yang muncul pada kategori elaboration of problem. Temuan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu jika partisipan melibatkan pemahaman maka keputusan yang diambil memunculkan positive understanding monitoring dan sebaliknya jika tidak melibatkan pemahaman maka keputusan yang diambil memunculkan negative understanding monitoring. Namun, terdapat partisipan yang hanya mengandalkan pengalaman dalam membuat soal dan berakhir dengan positive understanding monitoring. AbstractThe purpose of this study to describe the self-explanation of the pre-service teachers on how they draft the fraction material story words. This research is qualitative. The data collected in this study employs tests and interviews. The reason why conducting interviews is to acquire data deeply in understanding the decisions taken. Based on the result of analyzing the data,  it shows that: (1) in the first question, participants showed differences in the positive and negative understanding in monitoring categories; (2) in the second question, the differences that appear in the elaboration of problem category. The finding in this study shows if the participants involve understanding, the decisions taken will give rise to positive understanding monitoring. Moreover, if it does not involve understanding, the decisions taken will give rise to negative understanding monitoring. However, some participants only rely on their experiences in making questions and finish it with positive understanding monitoring.

Abstract

Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan bersama mitra dari Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Mitra pada PKM ini adalah Bayu Kurniawan, S.Pd, wali kelas Xb SMA MBS Daarul Ilmi Tarakan. Permasalahan yang memungkinkan untuk dicarikan solusinya terkait situasi dan kondisi pembelajaran matematika di kelas Xb diantaranya: 1) video pembelajaran yang kurang variatif dan masih monoton pada satu bentuk yaitu screen dan audio, 2) penilaian pembelajaran yang masih terbatas pada soal Pilihan Ganda dan Essay (belum menyentuh project dan penilaian kinerja), 3) waktu guru terlalu banyak habis dalam penyusunan video pembelajaran, 4) kedekatan (komunikasi) belum terbangun dengan baik antara mitra dengan siswa kelas Xb. Memperhatikan hal tersebut, salah satu solusi yang rencana digunakan adalah membuat Microcontent yang variatif, dikemas dalam video pembelajaran yang berkualitas dalam bentuk video. Adapun microcontent disematkan dalam google classroom atau Edpuzzle sehingga bisa memanfaatkan fitur penilaian test dan non-test (rubric penskoran) dengan mudah dan efektif. Setelah dilaksanakan kegiatan, terdapat beberapa manfaat yang diperoleh baik oleh mitra ataupun tim pelaksana, diantaranya: a) Peningkatan kemampuan mitra dalam merancang content pembelajran, b) Peningkatan kualitas media pembelajraan berupa video, c) terjalin komunikasi dan kerjasama yang bagus antara pendidik di SMA MBS Daarul Ilmi dengan tim Universitas Borneo Tarakan, d) tersebarluasnya konsep Microcontent dalam pembelajaran daring di Kaltara dan sekitarnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas metode pembelajaran tutor sebaya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan number sense siswa di kelas VII A SMP Negeri 1 Duripoku. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperimental dengan one group pre test-post design. Untuk melihat apakah terdapat perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan number sense sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan metode tutor sebaya, maka dilakukan uji paired sample t-test, sementara untuk melihat efektivitasnya dilakukan analisis gain ternomalisasi (N-Gain). Dari hasil analisis data pada taraf signifikansi 5%, ditemui nilai t = 7.721 dengan signifikansi 0,00 (< 0.05) yang berarti terdapat perbedaan nilai  rata-rata kemampuan number sense pada pre test dan post test, untuk hasil analisis N-Gain diperoleh bahwa efektivitas metode tutor sebaya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan number sense berada pada kategori rendah.

Abstract

The implementation of Distance Learning for 2 years, caused students to miss the school atmosphere because they were used to using smartphones in the learning process, but when the Covid-19 atmosphere began to be under control, the learning process was carried out again in the classroom, therefore schools had to make changes. changes in the learning process. This study aims to determine the use of the lecture method during the new normal era in performing administrative procedures subject at SMK Negeri 1 Bone. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. There were 7 informants in this study. Data collection is done through interview techniques and observation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the lecture method begins with preparation, namely praying together to avoid Covid-19, conveying learning objectives, and doing apperception. The implementation of learning is directed so that students stay focused on the learning atmosphere, with the focus on students, the learning objectives will be easily achieved. The final stage is carried out with a question and answer session, and concluding, not forgetting that the teacher always reminds students to continue to implement health protocols.

Abstract

Giving reinforcement is an important thing in the teaching process, the task of the teacher as an educator is to increase learning motivation in students, one of which is by providing stimulation in the form of awards/praises so that students can be motivated, control or change bad behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between giving positive reinforcement to the leadership of the class X student group at SMA Negeri 3 Malinau. This study uses descriptive quantitative research, the population is 153 from class X students and the research sample is 55 students. The data collection technique used is the Likert scale on the positive reinforcement scale and the student group leadership scale. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique and inferential analysis, product moment correlation test and simple linear regression test were carried out. The results of the study obtained that the leadership level of the student group was included in the high category, namely 47.3% with a total of 26 students. The results showed that there was no relationship between  giving positive reinforcement to student group leadership.

Abstract

Solving mathematical problems require knowledge and experiences to determine the right strategy. One of the efforts that can be used to encourage problem-solving skills is to develop reflective thinking. Reflective thinking can be a strategy to explore mathematical problem-solving abilities by questioning the answers or questioning the problems encountered so that new thoughts can be used to determine appropriate problem-solving strategies. Therefore, this study aims to explain the reflective thinking process carried out by prospective teachers in solving mathematical problems. This study used a qualitative research design with data collection through test and interview process as a triangulation stage. Participants in this study were 2 prospective teachers who carried out a reflective thinking process and were known through think aloud in implementing the test. The results showed that scaffolding was needed to complete the reflective thinking process in problem-solving. Two scaffolding positions appeared in the reflective thinking stage: (1) after the questioning and evaluating stages, scaffolding is needed as a bridge to the reasoning stage; (2) After the questioning stage, scaffolding is needed to bridge the evaluating and reasoning stages. In the reflective thinking process, scaffolding generates new knowledge to find the right problem-solving strategy.

Abstract

Prescriptive theory discusses the determination of learning methods to achieve predetermined learning goals. One aspect that must be considered is how to maintain student retention through rearranging learning materials. The characteristics of mathematics that are taught are arranged hierarchically so that appropriate strategies are needed to organize the content of learning material before it is delivered to students. One organizing strategy is elaboration theory, while the components of elaboration theory are elaborative sequences for the main structure of teaching, the sequence of prerequisites for learning, summary), synthesis, analogy, activating cognitive strategies), and learning controls.

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims at determining the role of the number line media in helping students understand and obtain local instructional theory in learning integer operations in the 4th Grade of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Tarakan. This research is design with three stages, namely preliminary design, experimental design, and retrospective analysis. In the preliminary design stage, a number line media along with the hypothetical learning trajectory is made. Then the teaching experiment is conducted to compare the expected learning trajectory with the actual learning trajectory that takes place. In the final stage, a retrospective analysis is carried out by viewing the video recording of learning and evaluation results. From the analysis, it was found that the use of number lines can help students to understand the operations of addition and subtraction of integers. This study also developed local instructional theory related to learning integers using number lines.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan media garis bilangan dalam membantu pemahaman siswa serta mengembangkan teori instruksional lokal (local intructional theory) pada pembelajaran operasi bilangan bulat di kelas IV di salah satu Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Kota Tarakan. Desain penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu desain pendahuluan, desain percobaan, dan analisis retrospektif. Pada tahap desain pendahuluan dilakukan pembuatan media garis bilangan beserta dugaan lintasan belajar, kemudian dilakukan percobaan pengajaran untuk membandingkan lintasan belajar yang diharapkan dengan lintasan belajar yang sesungguhnya terjadi. Pada tahap akhir dilakukan analisis retrospektif dengan melihat rekaman video pembelajaran dan hasil evaluasi. Dari analisis tersebut ditemui bahwa penggunaan garis bilangan dapat membantu siswa untuk memahami operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat. Penelitian ini juga mengembangkan teori instruksional lokal terkait pembelajaran bilangan bulat menggunakan garis bilangan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep matematika yang terdapat pada Ukiran masyarakat Dayak Kenyah di Kalimantan Utara. Jenis penelitian yang dipilih adalah studi kasus dengan unit analisis masyarakat Dayak Kenyah yang melakukan aktivitas di wilayah Kabupaten Bulungan. Adapun informan kunci dalam penelitian ini adalah tokoh adat, tokoh masyarakat, bidang kebudayaan, serta tukang ukir, dan warga masyarakat yang memahami tentang seluk beluk ukiran Dayak kenyah. Wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data, penyajian data, data reduksi, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Adapun temuan dari penelitian ini yaitu adanya konsep pencerminan pada ukiran Gapura Desa Tradisional, pada tameng (perisai), serta pintu rumah salah satu warga Desa Teras Nawang; Konsep titik (titik pangkal) pada ukiran dinding Balai Adat, Konsep pergeseran (translasi) pada ukiran bagian luar rumah adat, Konsep As (simetri) serta pemanfaatan konsep koordinat cartesius dalam aktivitas mengukir oleh seniman Dayak Kenyah.

Abstract

The concept of an independent learning curriculum issued by the government has the aim of liberating education so that students can think and innovate freely. One way to support the independence of student education is to make adjustments in the learning process, especially in elementary schools. Therefore, this study develops learning on a STEM basis to support the profile of Pancasila students. This study uses the ADDIE method, which has five stages: analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. The results showed that STEM-based learning could support the profile of Pancasila students. The teaching modules developed are on valid criteria, with a score range of 4≤ V 5. Likewise, the practicality of the module is a very practical criterion, with a score of 5. Student responses to STEM-based learning indicate that it can help support the achievement of the Pancasila student profile, namely critical reasoning, cooperation, and independence. In addition, the developed teaching modules can also help the learning process that is meaningful, fun, and interesting so that it can improve students' understanding as evidenced by the percentage of students' completeness that reaches 100% and is in very good criteria. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that the STEM-based learning module has met the valid, practical, and effective criteria for use in student learning in elementary schools.
