Abstract

Through the Circular of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Mendikbudristek) Number 3 of 2022, face-to-face learning is limited to educational units following the provisions stipulated in the Joint Decree of the Four Ministers. In addition, it is explained that parents/guardians of students are given the choice to permit their children to take part in Limited face-to-face learning or distance learning. This study aimed to determine public sentiment regarding Sekolah Tatap Muka. To achieve the research objectives, sentiment analysis is used using the Drone Emprit application. Data collection was obtained from the Twitter social media application, the data obtained were posts from February 1, 2022, to March 31, 2022. The results showed that there were 898 tweets or 29.23 percent of positive sentiments about sekolah tatap muka, and there were 1,954 tweets or 63.61 percent of negative sentiments about sekolah tatap muka, and there were 220 tweets or 7.16 percent of neutral sentiments about sekolah tatap muka.

Abstract

The quality of employee performance is a community right that must be fulfilled by the government. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to determine the quality of employee performance at the Ujung Tanah Sub-district Office of Makassar City. The types and sources of data used are Primary Data and Secondary Data. Data collection techniques used are Observation, Interview, Documentation. The research informants were 7 people, consisting of 1 person from the Head of Ujung Tanah Subdistrict, 3 people from the Employee Staff, and 3 people from the Community. Researchers act as the main instrument in collecting the necessary data and information. The data analysis technique used is Data Condensation, Data Display, Conclusion. The results showed that the performance of the Ujung Tanah Sub-District Office employees was as expected, however, there were still some aspects that needed to be improved. Judging from the indicators used by researchers in measuring the Quality of Employee Performance in terms of Productivity aspects, the category is quite good, Service Quality is in the good category, the efficiency is in the good category, the effectiveness is in the good category, the responsiveness in the category is quite good, and the responsibility is in the good category.

Abstract

Giving reinforcement is an important thing in the teaching process, the task of the teacher as an educator is to increase learning motivation in students, one of which is by providing stimulation in the form of awards/praises so that students can be motivated, control or change bad behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between giving positive reinforcement to the leadership of the class X student group at SMA Negeri 3 Malinau. This study uses descriptive quantitative research, the population is 153 from class X students and the research sample is 55 students. The data collection technique used is the Likert scale on the positive reinforcement scale and the student group leadership scale. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique and inferential analysis, product moment correlation test and simple linear regression test were carried out. The results of the study obtained that the leadership level of the student group was included in the high category, namely 47.3% with a total of 26 students. The results showed that there was no relationship between  giving positive reinforcement to student group leadership.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of classroom management and the level of student learning motivation and the effect of Class Management on Student Learning Motivation in the Department of Office Administration at SMK Negeri 1 Watampone, Bone Regency. This study uses a quantitative study with a population of all students at SMK Negeri 1 Watampone totaling 384 students, with a sample of 40 students at an error rate of 10%. Data was collected by means of observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is a descriptive statistical analysis using the formula of the mean (mean), standard deviation, and inferential statistical analysis using simple regression for hypothesis testing. The results showed that classroom management at the Office Administration Department of SMK Negeri 1 Watampone was classified as good, this was supported by the power approach, freedom approach, role balance approach, teaching approach, emotional and social atmosphere approach, and a combination approach. Meanwhile, the learning motivation of students in the Office Administration Department at SMK Negeri 1 Watampone is classified as high, this is supported by intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. In addition, the results of the study indicate that there is a significant positive effect of classroom management on student motivation in the Office Administration Department at SMK Negeri 1 Watampone, Bone Regency. This can be seen from the results of data analysis carried out, obtained the level of influence of classroom management on learning motivation is classified in the low category, this is caused by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

The implementation of the Strengthening Character Education program cannot be separated from the role of all parties in the school. This research is a descriptive research using a qualitative approach. With as many as seven subjects, namely the Deputy Head of Curriculum, Deputy Head of Student Affairs, 2 teachers, and 3 students of the Campalagian State Vocational School. Data collection techniques using observation methods, interview methods, and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques in this study used data reduction techniques, data presentation, conclusions and verification. The results showed that the Implementation of Strengthening Character Education at UPT SMK Negeri Campalagian, seen from the results of data analysis, was included in the effective category. This can be seen from the fulfillment of the three indicators, namely the cultivation of strengthening integrated character education in subjects, the existence of extracurricular activities with the aim of forming the character of students, and habituation activities through school culture. In this study, the Campalagian State Vocational School teachers need to be creative in arranging learning and activities at school while still considering character education during the Covid-19 period. Character education during the pandemic will provide a pattern of living with character anywhere and under any conditions.

Abstract

Strengthening Character Education is not a new policy at all because since 2010 character education in schools has become a National Movement. Education units are a strategic tool for building national character because they have systems, infrastructure, and educational ecosystem support spread throughout Indonesia, from urban to rural areas. This study aims to describe the character of students based on Pancasila Student Profiles at Public Middle Schools in East Tarakan District, Tarakan City. The research method used was a survey of the research population, namely all-state junior high schools in East Tarakan District with a total sample of 180 students. The distribution of questionnaires is a data collection technique, while the data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The results of the research on the description of student character based on the profile of Pancasila students as a whole are in the very good category. Meanwhile, in terms of the Pancasila profile character element indicators in terms of faith, and piety to God Almighty, it is known that the value of 73.33% is in the very good category; In terms of global diversity, it is in the very good category, with an average value of 56.67%; Judging from the dimensions of mutual cooperation, it is in the very good category, with an average value of 46.11%; Judging from the independent dimension, it is in the very good category, with an average value of 48.89%; Judging from the critical dimension, it is in a very good category, with an average value of 45.00%; Meanwhile, in terms of the creative dimension, it is in the good category with an average value of 35.56%.

Abstract

An organization, to improve employee performance depends on the leadership style itself. This study aims to determine the effect of democratic leadership style on employee performance at the Watang Sawitto District Office, Pinrang Regency. This research is quantitative research that shows a causal relationship. The population in this study was 31. Data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is a descriptive statistical analysis using percentages and inferential statistical analysis using data normality tests, product-moment correlation analysis, and simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the democratic leadership style at the Watang Sawitto District office, Pinrang Regency was in the very good category in terms of decisions made together, respecting the potential of subordinates, listening to criticism, suggestions, and opinions from subordinates, and cooperating with subordinates. Meanwhile, employee performance is in the very good category in terms of service orientation, commitment, work initiative, cooperation, and leadership. Based on simple linear regression analysis, it shows that democratic leadership style influences employee performance. This research can be used as a reference that focuses on the democratic leadership style on employee performance because the previous research focused on employee work motivation.

Abstract

Admission of new students aims to ensure the acceptance of new students runs objectively, accountably, transparently, and without discrimination so as to encourage increased access to educational services. This study aims to determine the implementation of the acceptance of new zoning system students in the city of Tarakan in 2017. This study is a qualitative study, supporting instruments in this study are interview guidelines, observation guidelines, and document study guidelines. The main informants in this study were the Head of the Education Officer, the Head of the Education Officer, the Head of the UPT High School in North Kalimantan Province, the Head of the High School Supervisor of North Kalimantan Province. While the usual informants in this study were all the heads of UPT Education in Tarakan City Regency and other parties who were considered to know the problems in this study. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study it was found that using a computerized system that determines the amount of quota through the poor family path, achievement path, reionization path, regular track, and out of town path.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of service in terms of quality, quantity, duration and need for supervision. This type of research is a combination research (mixed methods), which combines the types of quantitative and qualitative research. In order to obtain quantitative results, the population in this study was 59, so this research is a population study. Meanwhile, to obtain qualitative results, the selected informants were 5 people consisting of 2 lecturers and 3 students. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observations and interviews. The mixed methods research design used is a triangulation design. The results showed that the quality of academic services during the Covid-19 pandemic at FKIP UBT was in the good category.

Abstract

The growth of tourism as an industry has recently shown a very increasing graph and has even been able to boost Indonesia's economic growth for the better. The development of mangrove ecotourism is an effort to utilize environmental services from coastal areas in a sustainable manner. This research is to find out the potential and problems as well as a SWOT analysis of ecotourism in the Tongke-tongke Mangrove Forest in Sinjai Regency so that a better and more sustainable ecotourism program can be developed. The findings show that there are potentials and problems in Mangrove Forest ecotourism in terms of public facilities, biological aspects, recreational aspects, educational aspects, conservation aspects, and accessibility aspects. Strength (strength) is the existence of a variety of mangrove species, large land area, facilities, and accessibility that are easy to reach. Weaknesses, namely low marketing activities, some facilities that are not maintained, and aesthetic factors that are still lacking. The opportunities are strategic locations, creative community empowerment, and government support, while the threats are beach abrasion, land conversion, negative impacts of ecotourism activities, competition with other tourism objects, and logging of mangrove trees.
