Abstract

AMIKOM STMIK Library Yogyakarata is a library that hasimplemented a digitization system. All forms of library access are presentedin digital form, ranging from book collections, journals, to the use ofseveral other digital services. So that collections from digital libraries canbe used for a long time, a library needs to do digital preservation. Thisstudy aims to see how the strategy of the STIKIK AMIKOM library inYogyakarta to preserve digital collections. This research method usesdescriptive qualitative and data collection using interviews. The researchresults in this study are the AMIKOM STMIK library doing severalactivities such as; preservation and refreshing of digital devices and alsobacking up digital collections.

Abstract

The presence of a Community Reading Park in the midst of the community is an alternative to increasing the literacy skills of the community and building interest in reading through reading materials and available programs aimed at educating the nation's children. The research aims to see how far the role of the Rimba Bulan Reading Room goes in developing people's reading interests and literacy skills. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Collecting data using observation, interviews, and documentation The data source is primary data obtained from interviews with TBM managers in the Rimba Bulan Reading Room. Furthermore, the data is processed to test the validity of the data using source triangulation. The results of the study show that the Rimba Bulan Reading Room in Padang Panjang City plays a very important role in developing community literacy with various program activities that have been carried out by involving children and adolescents to read books, participate in programs that TBM carries out such as drawing, reading poetry, playing traditional music, teaching mothers in waste management to become workers, and so on, to improve the economy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the competence of librarians towards the accessibility of persons with disabilities in university libraries. This type of research uses the library research method. The data collection method is carried out by studying and exploring relevant sources, such as: 1) collecting sources (books, articles/journals) studied, 2) reading, recording, and processing sources (books, articles/journals) studied. The results showed that the study of librarian competencies on the accessibility of persons with disabilities in higher education libraries is needed in providing and providing library services for people with disabilities, including competencies in the field of library management, competencies in the field of information technology, competencies in the field of communication, personality competencies, and competencies in sciences that support librarianship.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kompetensi pustakawan terhadap aksesibilitas penyandang disabilitas di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Jenis penelitian menggunakan metode studi pustaka (library research). Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menelaah dan mengeksplorasi sumber yang relevan, seperti: 1) mengumpulkan sumber (buku, artikel/jurnal) yang dikaji, 2) dibaca, dicatat, dan diolah sumber (buku, artikel/jurnal) yang dikaji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kajian kompetensi pustakawan terhadap aksesibilitas penyandang disabilitas di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi sangat dibutuhkan dalam menyediakan dan memberikan pelayanan perpustakaan untuk pemustaka disabilitas, diantaranya kompetensi di bidang pengelolaan perpustakaan, kompetensi di bidang teknologi informasi, kompetensi di bidang komunikasi, kompetensi kepribadian, dan kompetensi ilmu-ilmu yang mendukung kepustakawanan.
