Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the leadership behavior of school principals in improving teacher performance at State Elementary School 2 Lamcot, Aceh Besar Regency. Research using a qualitative approach with data collection techniques, documentation, observation, and interviews. This research shows that the preparation of school principal policies in improving teacher abilities is by making written and verbal rules in accordance with the school's vision and mission by involving teachers, school supervisors and school committees regarding activities to increase teacher abilities. The results of this policy become guidelines for teachers to carry out their duties better to achieve an increase in the quality of education; school principal program as a leader in improving teacher discipline by using effective communication (not rude, carrying out direct supervision, not arrogant and authoritarian), preparing Teacher Working Group programs, seminars, and workshops. With this program showing encouraging results, teachers are more disciplined so they can complete it well; the principal's strategy as a leader in increasing teacher responsibility by involving all teachers and providing direct examples; Factors that influence the leadership of school principals in improving teacher performance are the principal's desire to improve school performance so that it has better achievements at the Acehnese and national levels

Abstract

Abstract   : Since curriculum is crucial, its development must be based on certain principles. Psychology is one of the important principles in curriculum development because students have unique characteristics that are different from one another. These differences include interests, talents and developmental periods as well as ways of learning. The curriculum must pay attention to the condition of students including how they develop and how they learn. The psychological aspects that underlie curriculum development are developmental psychology and learning psychology. Developmental psychology examines the nature of development, stages of development, aspects of development, tasks of individual development and other matters relating to individual development, all of which must be taken into consideration in curriculum development. Meanwhile, by understanding the psychology of learning, curriculum developers will understand which learning models or approaches are appropriate and can provide optimal results, and how the process is implemented to provide optimal results. Learning theories such as cognitive, behavioristic, constructivist and humanistic theories are also important points to consider. Each learning theory has its own strengths and weaknesses. This is understandable because the originators of the theory focus on aspects that they consider important, in addition to the research they have conducted regarding how humans learn. One thing to note that each theory will be meaningful if it is applied to certain aspects that are appropriate to the fields and stages of student development.

Abstract

The growing fighting spirit of the Acehnese people against the Dutch colonialists has been documented in history. One factor that significantly influenced this heroic spirit was the Hikayat Prang Sabi (The letter literature of war). How did this text shape the courageous spirit of the Acehnese in their resistance against the invaders? This paper examines the influence of Hikayat Prang Sabi (HPS) on its readers and the broader community. This study aims to reveal the impact of Hikayat Prang Sabi on Acehnese society. The theoretical framework used is the sociology of literature, focusing on the relationship between author, the literary work, and the reading public. The methodology employed is a descriptive qualitative approach that draws on literary sociology. The results indicate that HPS was a significant literary work that deeply affected its readers, especially the Acehnese who embraced it. The creation of HPS by Tgk. Chik Pante Kulu was closely tied to the political conditions in Aceh at the time, as the region was engaged in conflict with Dutch military force. During the Aceh-Dutch war, HPS was read before going to battle until it was confiscated and destroyed by the Dutch. Even after the war, HPS remained a crucial reference for the Acehnese in rebuilding political power.

Abstract

Audio-visual media constitutes a pivotal instructional tool that facilitates the achievement of learning objectives through enhanced student engagement and comprehension. This study aims to examine the comparative effectiveness of storytelling methods and audio-visual media in improving student learning outcomes in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak. Employing a classroom action research approach, data were collected through documentation, observation, and the administration of pre-tests and post-tests. The findings reveal that the storytelling method led to a 20% improvement in student performance, whereas the implementation of audio-visual media resulted in a 90% increase in learning outcomes. These results underscore the superior efficacy of audio-visual media in reinforcing conceptual understanding and fostering meaningful learning experiences among students.

Abstract

Di era informasi yang semakin berkembang, perpustakaan memiliki peran sentral sebagai pusat pengetahuan yang tidak hanya menyediakan koleksi buku, tetapi juga sebagai sumber informasi yang dapat diakses oleh semua pihak. Pemanfaatan sumber-sumber informasi yang sudah dikemas menjadi bahan Pustaka (koleksi) sangat fluktuatif. Kondisi ini mungkin terjadi karena kurangnya stimulus dan respon dari pihak perpustakaan maupun pemustaka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan teori operant conditioning oleh pustakawan di MTsN 4 Banda Aceh dan dampaknya terhadap pemanfaatan layanan perpustakaan oleh siswa/i. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stimulus yang diberikan oleh pustakawan seperti penobatan duta baca, gerakan literasi sekolah, pojok kuis yang disertai pemberian hadiah, menghasilkan respon dari pemustaka yaitu antusiasme siswa/i dalam meningkatkan frekuensi kunjungan dan pemanfaatan layanan di perpustakaan.. Pemustaka yang diberikan reward menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi dan partisipasi aktif dalam menggunakan layanan perpustakaan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan baru dalam strategi pengembangan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatan sumber daya perpustakaan.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh gaya belajar auditory terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian library research. Data dikumpulkan melalui identifikasi wacana dari berbagai referensi seperti buku, artikel, atau informasi lainnya yang relevan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis isi (content analiysis), yaitu teknik yang digunakan untuk mengkaji perilaku manusia secara tidak langsung melalui analisis terhadap komunikasi mereka seperti konsep, pendapat, teori-teori, prinsip-prinsip, surat kabar, buku, puisi, film, artikel majalah dan semua jenis komunikasi yang dapat dianalisis. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa gaya belajar auditory memberikan dampak positif terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Temuan ini mencakup peningkatan kemampuan analisis, evaluasi, dan kreasi pada siswa yang belajar melalui gaya belajar auditory. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar pendidik dapat memanfaatkan juga media pembelajaran berbasis audio untuk mendukung peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang promosi naskah kuno perpustakaan museum aceh dan pengaruhnya terhadap pemanfaatan koleksi oleh pengguna. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana strategi promosi naskah kuno yang dilakukan di Perpustakaan Museum Aceh, dan kaitannya dengan pemanfaatan koleksi naskah kuno oleh pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi promosi naskah kuno yang dilakukan di Perpustakaan Museum Aceh dan pengaruh promosi terhadap pemanfaatan koleksi naskah kuno oleh pengguna di Perpustakaan Museum Aceh. penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yaitu salah satu prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa ucapan atau tulisan dan perilaku orang-orang yang diamati. Fokus atau subjek penelitian ini adalah promosi naskah kuno dan pemanfaatan koleksi oleh pengguna. Dalam mendapatkan data, penulis menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan angket, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus statistik sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa promosi naskah kuno tidak berpengaruh terhadap pemanfaatan koleksi oleh pengguna. Alasan lainnya pengguna yang memanfaatkan naskah kuno, karena untuk mengetahui isinya saja.

Abstract

This article critically explains the concept and practice of the spiritual initiation (rābiṭah murshid) of the disciple and the role of Sheikh Muhammad Waly al-Khalidy in the Naqshbandiyah (Sufi) order in Aceh. Employing a qualitative method along with a hermeneutical approach the research found that the role of the guide is at the core of spiritual training and education. The spiritual connection between the student and the teacher is an intimate bond that allows the latter to guide the former in his efforts to become a perfect human being. The findings of this study differ from those of J. Spencer Trimingham, Julia Day Howell, and Mulyadhi Kartanegara who assumed that the authority of the spiritual guide is overemphasized and no longer necessary once the sālik reached his path. However, according to Muhammad Waly, a true sheikh has natural authority, and this authority is justified and does not intrude upon the Shari‘ah as it has been done during the reading of Naẓam of Obat Hati (Medicine of the Heart) containing the names of the murshids and khulafā’ of the Sufi order.

Abstract

Particle size reduction of zeolite to the nanometer scale leads to substantial changes in the properties of zeolite which make them promising materials for many applications including adsorption. Zeolite silicate-1 Nanocrystal was synthesized at temperatures of 800C, 1200C and 1500C by adding tetrapropylammonium hydroxide (TPAOH) into silica sources. The synthesis mixtures are 2TPAOH: 0.15Na2O: 4.5Si: 382H2O: 51EtOH (TEOS as silica source) and 2TPAOH: 0.15Na2O: 6SiO2: 532H2O: 51EtOH (Ludox LS as silica source). X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the synthesised products. The nanosilicate-1 particle size were obtained in range of 119 nm 1678 nm. This research also confirmed that TEOS can make smaller particle size up to 36.43 % than Ludox LS due to an average hydrodynamic diameter of 4 nm of TEOS smaller than Ludox LS of 15-19 nm. In the heavy metal adsorption study, it was found that the adsorption capacity indicated by Qmax (Langmuir) and KF (Freundlic) shows higher Pb2+ adsorption than Cr3+. The maximum adsorption capacities of Pb and Cr at 300C are 131.58 mg/g and 129.87 mg/g, respectively. Further, it can also be seen that the KL values in the Langmuir isotherm indicate the higher selectivity of Pb on silicate-1 zeolite than Cr.Keywords :Adsorption capacity, Heavy metal, Isotherm, Silicate-1 nanocrystal
