Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to develop a Wordwall-assisted test instrument to measure students’ mathematical creative thinking skills on the topic of relations and functions for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Sintang, and to determine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using a 3D development model consisting of the define, design, and development stages. The research subjects included three material experts, three media experts, and 28 students of class VIII E at SMP Negeri 2 Sintang in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and a mathematical creative thinking skills test. Data analysis was conducted to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed product. The results showed that the developed Wordwall-assisted test instrument met the criteria of being highly valid, highly practical, and effective. The validity level, based on assessments by material and media experts, obtained an average percentage of 87.95%, categorized as highly valid. The practicality level, based on teacher and student response questionnaires, obtained an average percentage of 88.86%, categorized as highly practical. The effectiveness level was determined from students’ post-test results, where 20 out of 28 students achieved learning mastery, resulting in a mastery percentage of 71.43%, which falls into the effective category. Therefore, the Wordwall-assisted test instrument on the topic of relations and functions is feasible to be used as an evaluation tool for measuring the mathematical creative thinking skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Sintang. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a differentiated learning-based video design to improve students' creative thinking skills on the topic of linear equations in one variable for eighth-grade students that is valid, practical, and effective. The research method employed was Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation.The findings of this study indicate that a differentiated learning-based video design was successfully developed. The developed video design had been validated by media experts and subject-matter experts. The validation results showed that the video design was suitable for use without revision. The video design was tested on eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak.Based on the results of student response questionnaires and teacher response questionnaires, the practicality level of the video design was categorized as very practical. Furthermore, based on the results of the creative thinking test administered to eighth-grade students, it can be concluded that the developed video design was effective.The implication of this study is that the video design can be further developed for other topics and subjects. In addition, training should be provided to teachers on how to create and utilize video designs that can attract students’ interest in learning and contribute positively to technological development.

Abstract

Students' problem-solving ability on integer arithmetic operations is still relatively low, one of the causes is the uniform learning and lack of attention to the differences in students' learning needs. This study aims to determine the effect of differentiated learning assisted by a number line board on the problem-solving ability of seventh-grade students on integer arithmetic operations at SMP Negeri 08 Satap Simpang Hulu. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Data were collected through essay tests compiled based on Polya's problem-solving indicators. Data analysis was carried out through analysis prerequisite tests, independent t-tests, and effect size calculations. The results showed a significant difference between the problem-solving abilities of students in the experimental class and the control class with a significance value of 0.001 (<0.05). The average posttest score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. In addition, the effect size value of 0.915 indicated a large influence. These findings confirm that differentiated learning assisted by a number line board is effective and practically meaningful in improving students' problem-solving abilities.
