Abstract

One of the capture fisheries activities in Tengkolak, Sukakerta Village, West Cilamaya District, Karawang Regency, West Java Province is using the stationery lift nett. The operation of the stationery lift nett itself cannot be separated from fishing aids that use light to attract the fish that are phototaxis positive. The purpose of this study was to determine the composition of the catch and to determine the number of catches based on the stationery lift nett in the waters of Karawang Regency. The benefits of this research can provide benefits to the lift net fishermen in the waters of Karawang Regency and become a reference for policy makers in the local area. Research data collection was carried out on a stationery lift nett operating in the waters of Karawang Regency, West Java. The implementation of the research stationery lift nett in March – May 2021. Sampling was carried out randomly every day based on ships that carried out fishing operations for 38 days, by collecting data on catches directly in the field, both the same and different fishing gear. It was obtained during the research that the fish caught in the stationery lift nett consisted of 9 fish speciess, consisting of anchovies, squid, acetes, sea-pike, dorab wolf, ninis, pony fishes, semadar and yellow-strips trevally. The catch was dominated by rebon (9,650 kg/45.34 %), while the highest frequency of occurrence was anchovy (100%).

Abstract

In the Tegal Regency area, there are two capture fisheries centers, namely Larangan Fish Auction Place in Munjungagung Village and Suradadi Fish Auction Place in Suradadi Village. This study aims to analyze the NP/P ratio and analysis of the Relative Production Value Index of capture fisheries products. The method used in this research is a case study method which is carried out on the marketing aspects of the caught fish landed at the Larangan Fish Auction Place and at the Suradadi Fish Auction Place, Tegal Regency. The calculation of the NP/P ratio and the Relative Production Value Index were carried out as the basis for analyzing the data. The results of the analysis showed that the Larangan Fish Auction Place in general experienced an increase, namely an average production growth of 15.30% and an average production value of 10.86%. Meanwhile, Suradadi Fish Auction Place experienced a decrease, namely the average production growth and production value were 5.71% and 6.09%, respectively. Calculation of NP/P Ratio and Relative Value Index of Capture Fisheries Production in Tegal Regency resulted in the Larangan Fish Auction Places NP/N Ratio is Rp. 8,843.60 and the average Production Value Relative Index is 1.17. While the Suradadi Fish Auction Place the average NP/N ratio is Rp. 4,637.34 and the average Production Value Relative Index is 0.62. The Larangan Fish Auction Place has a better marketing quality than the Tegal Regency level, while the Suradadi Fish Auction Place has a less good marketing quality than the Tegal Regency level.

Abstract

Larangan Coastal Fishing Port, located in Tegal Regency, Central Java, is one of the ports in Central Java with a fairly high fishery production. Purse seine Teri is one type of fishing gear used in PPP Larangan whose catch is fairly productive. The purpose of this research is to analyze the technical and financial aspects of capture fisheries business with purse seine Teri. The material used in this research is 8 units of purse seine Teri ship with lights. The method used is observation and interviews. Technical analysis includes the type of vessel, specifications fishing gear, and methods operation of fishing gear. Based on the technical analysis, the comparison of the dimensions of the vessel and the fishing gear is in accordance with the technical guidelines, namely the length of the fishing gear is at least 15 times the length of the vessel. The length of the bottom ris rope is an average of 13% of the top ris rope and accordance with the standart technical guidelines, which is a minimum of 10%. The average length of the corrugated rope is 1,3 from the length of the bottom ris rope, which is in accordance with the technical guidelines, which is between 1,1 - 1,75. The mesh size of the 0,5 inch is still safe because it is under the provisions of the technical guide, which is 0,6 inch

Abstract

Slurry ice is a solution to improve the quality of fish caught and cultured. The purpose of this research is to analyze and test the performance of the slurry ice machine. The analysis used includes calculating the power performance coefficient (COP), refrigeration capacity (Q), refrigerant flow rate, volume flow rate, compressor work (WComp). The heat released by the condenser and the heat absorbed by the refrigerant in the evaporator. The calculation uses data from the measurement of condenser temperature, compressor pressure. Methods to calculate the calculation of specification data and pressure from the compressor use formulas. The results showed that COP = 3.8-4.3, Qtot = 9-10 kW (for each hour), m = 0.06 kg/s, Wcomp = 2.35-2, 6 kW, Qcond = 12, 4-12.52 kW, Qevap = 9.8-10.17 kW, the total refrigeration load for 24 hours is 228 kW. The total production of slurry ice for 24 hours is 1,396.8 kg or 1.3968 Tons. The results of the test on catfish that were cooled using slurry ice, the decrease in temperature from the initial temperature of catfish 27.8°C to a temperature of (-0.7°C) took 36 minutes. Meanwhile, chilled catfish using shaved ice with an initial temperature of 27.8°C catfish to 2°C takes 1 hour.
