Abstract

This study aims to analyze the questions on grade five mathematics textbook 2018 revision of the 2013 curriculum based on mathematical literacy. The sample of this study is a competency test item on each basic competency. This study use descriptive qualitative method. Data collection in this study use document review. Data analysis in this study use the Miles and Huberman’s model which consist of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of this study is questions that include mathematical literacy from total number of competency test is 53 % or 56 questions. The level of mathematical literacy questions is only at level 1 until level 3 with a specification of level 1is 9 % or 5 questions, level 2 is 41 % or 23 questions, and level 3 is 50 % or 28 questions.

Abstract

The goal of this research were 1) to describe the implementation of Indonesian language learning, and 2) to describe students' learning motivation in finding the main idea of paragraphs in grade IV SD Djama’atul Ichwan Surakarta. The method applied in this research is descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation study.. This study used a validity test technique in the form of triangulation of data and sources. The data were then analyzed using interactive data analysis techniques by Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/ verification. The result is there are 3 students who have high motivation and 3 students who have low motivation. The indicator that has not been fulfilled by most subjects is the good use of time, while the indicator that is fulfilled by all subjects is being able to work independently .The category of learning motivation that is owned by most of the fourth grade students is external motivation. The  research implication can add references and insights for further research and be used as a reference for teachers and students related to learning motivation in finding the main ideas in paragraphs.

Abstract

This aim of this research is to describe the ability to solve problems in speed and debit material based on John Dewey's theory on the 5th grade students of SD Djama'atul Ichwan Surakarta in the academic year 2019/2020. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The data source of this study was students of grade 5Bth at SD Djama'atul Ichwan, consisting of six children as research samples were taken by using a purposive sampling technique . The data collection technique was carried out by observation, interview, and document analysis with data validity testing using technique triangulation and time triangulation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman data analysis models. The results of this study indicate that students can determine the problem by meeting the two specified indicators. Students are quite able to formulate and evaluate problem-solving hypotheses because they only have one way as an alternative to problem-solving so that they only meet one indicator out of the two indicators set. Students are quite capable of applying the chosen problem-solving method because they have not been able to write problem-solving steps systematically so that they only meet three indicators out of the four indicators set. It can be concluded that the students did not succeed in meeting the indicators determining several alternative problem-solving and indicators of the problem-solving flow were written systematically. The result of this research provide insight into problem-solving abilities based on John Dewey’s theory and orm the basis of the further research. The result of this research also encourage teachers to determine effective strategies, models, and methods so they can improve students’ problem solving abilities.

Abstract

Improving the ability to analyze the FPB and KPK by applying Means Ends Analysis model is the purpose of this research. This research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. Students of the 4th students at SD Ta’mirul Islam Surakarta in the 2019/2020, totalling 24 students is the subject. Data collection techniques in the form of interview, observation, test, and document analysis. Data analysis are source and technique triangulation, and content validity. Analysis of the data used is the Miles-Huberman interactive analysis model. The initial conditions of analysis ability of 4 th students showed 37,5%. The cycle I at the first meeting resulting in a percentage of 75%, the second meeting is 66.67%. The cycle II at the first meeting producing a percentage of 87.5%, the second meeting is 91.67%. Based on the result of the research, it can be conclude that the ability to analyze FPB dan KPK on 4 th students of SD Ta’mirul Islam in the 2019/2020 can be improved through the Means Ends Analysis model. This research contributed to be used as a reference and be a development in varied learning activities in mathematics subject.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji macam-macam kesalahan peserta didik dalam penyediaan materi cerita, dan untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor yang mendasari kesalahan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan materi nilai cerita siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Karangasem angkatan 2020. / 2021. Studi tersebut menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif . Studi tersebut akan mendeskripsikan kesalahan anak didik yang menyelesaikan cerita bahan. Teknik data adalah tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas data adalah triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi sumber. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Karangasem, sembilan dari 30 peserta didik. Subjek diambil dengan pemilihan tiga kelompok nilai. Analisis data menggunakan model interavtive.Penelitian yang mengarah pada kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa kelas IV Karangasem yaitu kesalahan kesalahan kesalahan, kesalahan kesalahan, kesalahan kesalahan dan kesalahan enconding. Persentase kesalahan terbesar yang dilakukan siswa dari kesalahan kesalahan kesalahan adalah 66,67%, kesalahan membaca yang dilakukan siswa adalah kesalahan membaca sebesar 17,78%. Faktor yang mendasari kesalahan hitung peserta didik dalam soal cerita adalah sangat teliti dalam mengambil informasi tentang cerita, tidak tahu apa yang diketahui dan ditanyakan serta lupa menulisnya, kesalahpahaman dalam perhitungan komputasi dan langkah-langkah solutif dalam menulisnya, ketidaksesuaian pada akhirnya, kesalahan unit pada jawaban dan tidak ditemukan kebenaran.kesalahan proses keterampilan dan kesalahan enconding. Persentase kesalahan terbesar yang dilakukan siswa dari kesalahan kesalahan kesalahan adalah 66,67%, kesalahan membaca yang dilakukan siswa adalah kesalahan membaca sebesar 17,78%. Abstract

The purpose of this research is improve representation skills in the stories matter by applying Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model. The subjects were 25 a taken from all the students in IVC class at SD Ta’mirul Islam Surakarta in the 2018/ 2019. This research is classroom reseach with three cycles. Data collection technique are using test, observation and documentation with data analysis of technique triangulation, source triangulation and content validity. The initial condition of representation skills in IVC class students showed 4% classically. The first cycle began with the first learning resulting in percentage of 21.7% in classical the second learning was 40.90 % in classical. The study continued with the second cycle with the percentage of achievement at the first learning amounting 61.90 % in classical, the second was 77.30%. The sudy continued with third cycles with the first learning persentage of 84.00% and the second was 87.00%.

Abstract

Textbooks are elements of the curriculum that function as learning resources for students, while for teachers, textbooks function to assist the implementation of learning. The purpose of this research is to identify and explain verbal-linguistic intelligence and logical-mathematical intelligence in student textbooks for grade IV Bahasa Indonesia Kurikulum Merdeka. This research is qualitative research using literature study, document study, and note-taking techniques. The validity of the data obtained was tested through source triangulation in the form of a teacher's handbook and through increased persistence. The data obtained were then analysed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results of the study are presented in tabular form and described using descriptions to show representations of verbal-linguistic intelligence and logical-mathematical intelligence. The results showed that writing skills were dominantly developed in activities in students' textbooks while listening skills were still low. Meanwhile, student activity in textbooks shows a dominant representation of verbal-linguistic intelligence compared to logical-mathematical intelligence.

Abstract

Abstract. After conducting the result of interview and obervation, the researcher found that student’s mathematical performance is still not good. This study aims to describe student’s error according to Newman’s Error Analysis in solving word problem of geometry. This research used a qualitative approach with case study design and purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through diagnostic problem solving test and interview of fourth grade students in SDN 02 Gedongan. The results of this research showed that the most error made are in process skill and the fewest error made are in comprehension. Students in all categories did three types of error in solving word problem of geometry that were transformation, process skill, and encoding error. The most error Error analysis of students was expected educators to use the right way to solve it in the next lesson.Keywords: word problem, NEA, problem solving skills, geometry, elementary school

Abstract

In the learning process, assessment is crucial since it establishes students' differences from one another and their level of quality. Complete assessment will influence learning and serve as a guide for future policies. The precision with which evaluation principles are used will have a significant impact on validity and objectivity. In order to evaluate math learning in elementary schools, this study will look at how authentic assessment methods are applied. This study is a qualitative descriptive one. The subjects of the study were teachers, administrators, and students. In this study, interviews, observation, and document analysis were employed to obtain data. The Miles and Huberman model of interactive data analysis approaches is used in this study's data analysis method. Techniques for assessing the validity of data rely on a triangulation of sources, methods, and times. The findings of this research indicate that the principles of elementary school mathematics learning assessment are effective in realizing the authentic assessment concept.

Abstract

Increasing the problem solving skills  by applying Missouri Mathematics Project model is the purpose of this research. This research is Classroom Action research with two cycles. Students of the 4th  SD N Setono No.95 Surakarta on the 2019/2020, the subject all of students at class totaling 33 students. Data collection techniques in the form of interview, observation, test, and documentation. Data analysis are source and technique triangulation, and content validity. Analysis of the data used is the Miles-Huberman interactive analysis model. The initial conditions of problem solving skills of 4th students showed 0%. The cycle I resulting in a percentage is 30,3%. The cycle II producing a percentage is 84,84%. Based on the result of the research, it can be conclude that the problem solving skills on 4 th students of SD N Setono No. 95 Surakarta in the 2019/2020 can be improved through the Missouri Mathematics Project model. This research contributed to be used as a reference and be a development in varied learning activities in mathematics subject.
