Abstract

Penelitian ini mengalisis model struktural bagaimana variabel new media literacy, cross cultural competency, adaptive thinking, virtual collaboration dan social intelligence mempengaruhi kesiapan sumber daya manusia dari perguruan tinggi untuk memasuki industri 4.0. Penelitian dilakukan di perguruan tinggi vokasi yang ada di Kota Medan, dimana sampel ditetapkan dengan purposive random sampling sebanyak 400 responden. Dalam analisis ini dilakukan dengan dengan model struktural dimana variabel social intelligence menjadi variabel intervening untuk kesiapan memasuki industri 4.0. Output penelitian ini diharapkan untuk memberikan masukan dan strategi bagi perguruan tinggi vokasi dalam melakukan penguatan kualitas SDM yang dihasilkan untuk memasuki pasar tenaga kerja. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data full model SEM duperoleh bahwa new media literacy, virtual collaboration, adaptive thinking dan cross cultural competency berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terdahap variabel social intelligence. Sedangkan untuk variabel kesiapan di industri 4.0 secara positif dan signifikan dipengaruhi oleh variabel adaptive thinking, new media literacy, dan cross cultural competency. Sedangkan pengaruh variabel virtual collaboration adalah positif namun tidak signifikan. Untuk peran mediasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel social intelligence memiliki peran partial mediation effect untuk variabel new media literacy dan adaptive thinking. Sedangkan untuk variabel virtual collaboration dan cross cultural competency variabel social intelligence memberikan peran full mediation effect.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the influence of the variables of intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence on students' entrepreneurial intentions, using the intervening variables of student creativity and learning achievement. The research was conducted at polytechnic higher education institutions (public and private) in Medan City. The number of research samples was 400 people, and the data were analyzed using a structural equation model with Amos software. For the direct effect of exogenous variables, it was found that students' intellectual intelligence and creativity had a statistically significant impact. In contrast, the variables of emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and learning achievement were not statistically significant. The indirect impact variables used to estimate entrepreneurial intentions are statistically significant, except for the emotional intelligence variable. Furthermore, as an intervening variable, the learning achievement variable provides a partial mediation effect in mediating the influence of the intellectual intelligence variable on entrepreneurial intentions. The learning achievement variable also provides a partial mediation effect in mediating the impact of the spiritual intelligence variable on entrepreneurial intentions. In contrast, the learning achievement variable provides no mediation effect in mediating the influence of the emotional intelligence variable on entrepreneurial intentions.

Abstract

Facilities are everything such as objects, buildings or rooms that are made to serve / facilitate carrying out certain goals or are facilities and infrastructure for carrying out certain activities. The definition of layout in general is a determination of the layout design on certain elements so as to produce an attractive visual. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of facilities and Design layout on the decision of event service users at Muda Art Project Event Organizer. This research is a type of associative research that uses quantitative data with a sample size of 44 people, namely Map Event Organizer clients from 2019-2023. The data analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression with partial data hypothesis testing (t test), simultaneous test (f test) and the coefficient of determination. The test results of this study obtained that the facility variable has a positive and significant influence on the decision of event service users and the Design layout variable has no positive and insignificant effect on the decision of event service users. Simultaneously or simultaneously facilities and Design layout have a significant influence on the decision of event service users at Muda Art Project Event Organizer.

Abstract

Employee performance is the result of work given to the company as a form of contribution from each employee in the process of achieving company goals both in the short and long term. In order for employees to work with high productivity, effective, efficient, and targeted motivation and work discipline are needed so that they will produce positive performance so that employee work performance increases. This study aims to determine the effect of motivation and work discipline on employee performance. The research method used is a quantitative method and the research location is at PT PLN (Persero) UPDL Tuntungan, Medan. The population in this study were employees working at PT PLN (Persero) UPDL Tuntungan, Medan, totaling 58 people and all of them were sampled using a sampling technique, namely the Sensu/Saturated Sampling technique. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observations and questionnaires. The data analysis method in this study is validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing. The data processing technique uses IBM SPSS 27 Statistics. Based on the results of partial research from the two independent variables that most influence employee performance is the work motivation variable. Simultaneously explains that motivation and work discipline have a positive and significant influence on employee performance at PT PLN (Persero) UPDL Tuntungan, Medan. The results of the determination test show that motivation and work discipline have an influence on employee performance at PT PLN (Persero) UPDL Tuntungan, Medan by 65.6% and the remaining 34.4% is influenced by other factors outside the research.

Abstract

The development of the coffee shop business in Indonesia is now showing rapid growth. One of the cities in Indonesia that has a rapidly growing coffee shop business is Medan. With the emergence of more coffee shops, there can be more intense competition in the coffee industry, to gain this competitive advantage, one of the things that can be done is to do social media marketing. One of the coffee shops in Medan city that does social media marketing is Makecents Coffee Space, Makecents Coffee Space does social media marketing through social media Instagram, Facebook, and Tiktok to promote their products and places. This study aims to determine the effect of social media marketing on consumer purchasing decisions for Makecents coffee shop. The type of research used in this research is quantitative. The population used in this study were visitors to Makecents coffee shop. The number of respondents consisted of 100 people, with incidental sampling techniques and sample determination using the Lemeshow formula. The results showed that all social media marketing variables influenced the purchasing decisions of Makecents coffee shop consumers, which amounted to 73.5%, the remaining 26.5% was influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This quantitative research aims to answer questions about the influence of Brand Image and Price Perception on the Decision to Purchase Gacoan Noodles. Quantitative research methodology using survey methods. The sampling technique used the incidental technique with a sample size of 95 respondents. The data collection technique uses Multiple Linear Regression. The research results show that Brand Image has a partial influence on purchasing decisions for Gacoan Noodle Products. This is proven by the tcount value of 4.698 and a significance value of 0.000. Price perception partially influences purchasing decisions for Mie Gacoan products. This is proven by the t-count result of 8.971 and a significance value of 0.000. Meanwhile, based on the statistical calculation of Simultaneous tests on Purchasing Decisions, it can be concluded that Brand Image and Price Perception simultaneously influence Purchasing Decisions on Mie Gacoan products. This is proven by the Fcount of 63.885 and a significance value of 0.000. Based on the calculation of the Coefficient of Determination, it can be explained that the Ajasted R Square value is 0.572, which means that Purchase Decisions can be explained by the Brand Image and Price Perception variables of 58,1%, while 41,9% is explained by other variables not included in this research.

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman menuntut banyak kegiatan masyarakat yang harus menggunakan teknologi digital, baik dalam pekerjaan, pendidikan, gaya hidup,dll. Penggunaan komputer saat ini merambah ke berbagai bidang, baik pekerjaan maupun pendidikan. Semakin banyaknya pengguna komputer, maka komputer terus mengalami perkembangan dan inovasi seperti laptop, notebook, dan netbook. Laptop Asus menjadi salah satu top of mind dalam masyarakat. Hal ini terjadi karena harga yang ditawarkan laptop Asus dengan kualitas yang ada dalam laptop ini memiliki nilai lebih dibandingkan dengan merek lain. Laptop Asus juga dikenal sebagai laptop yang tahan banting dan memiliki fitur-fitur yang menarik. Ini menjadi faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi keputusan masyarakat dalam memilih laptop yang cenderung ingin mendapatkan harga murah dengan kualitas yang bagus.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh citra merek dan kualitas produk secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap keputusan pembelian. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa manajemen bisnis yang berjumlah 451 orang. Dengan sampel berjumlah 82 orang yang diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan tinjauan pustaka. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, regresi linier berganda, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan secara parsial variabel citra merek (X1) dan variabel kualitas produk (X2) berpengaruh dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian. Dari hasil penelitian ini diperoleh 74,7% keputusan pembelian laptop Asus dipengaruhi oleh citra merek dan kualitas produk secara simultan, sedangkan 25,3% keputusan pembelian dipengaruhi oleh variabel-variabel lainnya yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan citra merek dan kualitas produk berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian laptop Asus

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of the work environment and work motivation on employee performance at PT Indah Cargo Medan. A conducive work environment and high work motivation are believed to have an important role in increasing employee productivity and work quality. The research method used was quantitative and regression analysis, with the type of data collection used being primary where the sample was taken as many as 84 respondents by circulating a questionnaire via Google Form using the Saturated Sampling technique. The results of this research show that the variables work environment, work motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance as evidenced by Fcount>Ftable, namely 23.591>3.11. The work environment has a significant effect on employee performance. This result is proven by Tcount>Ttable 2.876>1.989. Work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance. This result is proven by Tcount>Ttable 2.876>1.989.

Abstract

Luxcrime is a local cosmetic brand produced by PT Luxury Cantika Indonesia. Its flagship product is Luxcrime Two Way Cake which is a combination of powder and foundation rolled into one. Luxcrime Two Way Cake has achieved the highest sales, surpassing international brands. One of the factors that influence purchasing decisions is the price which is below one hundred thousand rupiah. This study aims to determine the effect of price on purchasing decisions for Luxcrime products among students in Medan city. The type of research used is quantitative research. The data collection technique used in this study was the questionnaire method and used a Likert scale. The research sample consisted of 100 respondents, namely students in Medan city who knew Luxcrime Two Way Cake products, had bought Luxcrime Two Way Cake, and had watched Luxcrime Two Way Cake reviews on Tasya Farasya's social media accounts. The sampling method used was accidental sampling. Data analysis was carried out by simple regression and hypothesis testing using the SPSS 23 program. The results of simple regression calculations explain that the independent variable price has a positive effect on the dependent variable of purchasing decisions. Then based on the results of hypothesis testing, it is proven that H1 is accepted.

Abstract

The research is entitled The Influence of Facilities, Services and Needs on the Reading Interest of Medan State Polytechnic Students, with the research objective being to determine the Influence of Facilities, Services and Needs on the Reading Interest of Medan State Polytechnic Students with this research method, namely Quantitative with data collection methods Observation, Study Libraries, and Questionnaires. Meanwhile, this research was tested using SPSS version 25 statistics which found the results of a positive influence between the independent variable on the dependent variable. Based on the research results it was found that Facilities had an influence tcount of 2.636 > 1.988, while on the results of the Service variable the tcount was 2.243 > 1.988, However, the Requirements variable found a t-count result of 3.567 > 1.988. This result can also be seen as an overall influence in the Coefficient of Determination test which shows a result of 0.355 or 35.5%, where the remaining 64.5% of the figure is influenced by other variables. Based on the research results, it was agreed that the facilities, services and needs to increase students' reading interest as visitors must be improved further.
