Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi dan kolaborasi siswa adalah aspek yang perlu dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi kemampuan komunikasi dan kolaborasi siswa SMP kelas IX pada pembelajaran matematika dengan model Problem Based Leraning (PBL). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX-6 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 32 siswa pada SMP Negeri 1 Sei Bamban. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Tes komunikasi dan kolaborasi dianalisis untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi dan kolaborasi siswa berdasarkan indikator kemampuan komunikasi yakni: (1) Interview awal kemampuan pemahaman soal, (2) Kemampuan penyelesaian soal. Kategori kemampuan tes komunikasi dibagi menjadi tiga bagian, yakni (1) Rendah, (2) Sedang, (3) Tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pekerjaan siswa dalam kemampuan komunikasi dan kolaborasi terdiri dari 6 siswa kemampuan tinggi, 23 siswa kemampuan sedang dan 3 siswa kemampuan rendah. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan kemampuan siswa kelas IX-6 secara umum dikatakan baik, dikarenakan sebagian besar siswa telah memenuhi beberapa indikator yang telah ditentukan. Dengan demikian pembelajaran matematika dengan model PBL sebagai upaya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi dan kolaborasi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials based on Problem Based Learning which are on KPK and FPB material in grade V SD. This research is research development (Research and Development) using the ADDIE development procedure which consists of 5 stages. In this study, researchers carried out the ADDIE development model only up to stage 4, namely Implementation. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire or questionnaire given to several expert reviewers, namely expert reviewers of teaching materials, expert reviewers of material, expert reviewers of learning and student responses. The validation score obtained from the material expert reviewer was 88, from the teaching materials expert it was 82, from the learning expert it was 88 and the student response was 95.3. From this score it can be said that the teaching materials based on problem-based learning on the KPK and FPB materials developed are "Very Feasible" to be used in the learning process

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini terletak pada sikap kejujuran dan percaya diri. Mereka sering lupa menggunakan ejaan yang benar. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran setiap hari di kelas menunjukkan kegiatan pembelajaran yang belum menunjukkan sikap kejujuran dan percaya diri Adapun cara untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut yaitu dengan menggunakn media buku bergambar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Mengetahui penggunaan media pembelajaran buku cerita bergmbar untuk meningkatkan sikap kejujuran pada siswa.; 2) Mengetahui penggunaan media pembelajaran buku cerita bergambar untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri pada siswa.Hasil penelitian dapat dijelaskan sebagai berikut: 1) Penerapan modia buku cerita bergambar untuk meningkatkan kejujuran dan percaya diri siswa.; 2) Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus I prosentase sikap jujur dan percaya diri mencapai 50% dan pada siklus II prosentase sikap jujur dan percaya diri pada siswa mencapai 80%.

Abstract

Mathematics is a discipline that focuses on developing thinking skills. Learning mathematics can hone critical thinking skills, which form the foundation for understanding mathematical concepts and effectively solving problems. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) study was conducted to improve students' critical mathematical thinking skills through a PBL approach. Medical School Negeri 2 Medan was the site of the research. A total of 36 students from the 2023/2024 academic year at SMA Negeri 2 Medan's class XI MIPA 9 served as the study subjects. There were two cycles to this research, and each one included the following steps: preparation, action, observation, and reflection. The data was analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis, and the methods for data gathering included both tests and non-tests. The results showed that the PBL model has improved the critical mathematical thinking skills of students in class XI MIPA 9 at SMA Negeri 2 Medan. In the first cycle, students' critical mathematical thinking skills reached 75.52% with a high qualification, and in the second cycle, they increased to 87.27% with a very high qualification.

Abstract

Mathematics is a vital discipline, yet it is often considered complicated by students. This results in their low mathematical understanding, which is very important in learning mathematics to solve problems more easily and relate the concepts understood. “This study used a class action research method (PTK) on students of class XI IPA-3 SMA Negeri 2 Medan in the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 36 people. In this study, data were collected through observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and documentation to evaluate the mathematical understanding ability of students in class XI-IPA 3 at SMA Negeri 2 Medan. The results showed a significant improvement after the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, as seen from the results of the initial ability test, cycle I test, and cycle II test”.

Abstract

Teacher professional development is a key factor in improving education quality and student learning outcomes. This study aims to explore the relationship between teacher professional development and student learning outcomes and identify factors that influence the effectiveness of professional development programs. The method used in this research is a literature review that includes analyzing various studies related to teacher professional development and its impact on student learning outcomes. This study collected data from relevant articles, journals and research reports. The results of the review show that teacher professional development contributes significantly to improving student learning outcomes through improving pedagogical competence, technology utilization and classroom management. However, there are obstacles such as a lack of teacher motivation that affects the effectiveness of the program. This study provides important implications for stakeholders, showing the need for collaboration between the government, educational institutions and teachers in creating a sustainable professional development system. With adequate support, it is expected that professional development can effectively improve the quality of education and student learning outcomes, as well as create a learning environment that is more inclusive and responsive to students' needs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether and how the Problem Based Learning approach enhances students' capacity for mathematical creativity. The research was conducted in two cycles using Classroom Action Research (PTK). A total of 36 students from class XI at MIPA 7 SMA Negeri 2 Medan participated in the study. To be considered effective, this research must achieve the following criteria: (1) Students' mathematical creative thinking capacity must rise by 85% or more, falling into the medium group; and (3) Both student and teacher observations must indicate a good level of performance. The study found that while the average score on the first ability test was 58.85, it increased to 67.12 during cycle I and 84.78 during cycle II. Along with an increase in initial ability test scores, there was a rise in classical completeness; in cycle I, that number rose to 24 students (61.11%), and in cycle II, it reached 36 students (100%). The findings suggest that the PBL approach can help students develop their critical thinking skills.
