Abstract

Utilization of Gadung Tubers (Dioscorea hispida) for Control of Rats, was carried out in Jatiwates Village, Tembelang District, Jombang Regency, from Octobe, 28 to Novembe, 08 2021. The partner for emporwerment community activities is the Farmers Group Association (GAPOKTAN) Jatiwates Village, Tembelang District. While the target audience is the farmers who are members of the farmer group as many as 25 participants. The objectives are; 1) provide information about the use of gadung tuber as raw material for controlling rat pests, 2) increase development in utilizing gadung tuber extract for controlling rats in food crops in Jatiwates Village, Tembelang District. The expected outputs are; 1) the farming community can know about the use of gadung tubers as raw material for controlling rat pests, 2) the use of gadung tuber extract for controlling rats, is expected to help and complete strategies for controlling rats to the maximum and reducing the impact of poisoning and environmental pollution. The results of the activity resulted in a fairly good difference in knowledge and skills after the target audience received socialization and training, namely 37% and 19%. The attitude towards the effectiveness of the rat birth control pill was around 15%. Further these implementation needs to be done in providing information and training on rat pest control strategies to farmers. In addition, testing the success of this rat birth control pill needs to be done, considering that environmental factors such as rainfall and stagnant water affect the effectiveness of giving birth control pills.

Abstract

The purpose of training of mycorrhizalas biological agents, conducted in Tanjungwadung village, District of Kabuh, Jombang, 30 July to 23 August 2017, is to liaisefarmers to academic factsin order to convey actual information and to discuss aboutmycorrhiza. The benefits of this activity relates to agriculture education for farmers to increasesoil fertility with the application of mycorrhizal as a biological agents’ fertilizer, to become oneof the solution to the problem of dependence on chemical fertilizers. The methods ofagricultural discussions and demonstrations of mycorrhizal propagation with appropriatetechnology can be done by farmers in the field. The questionnaire to the trainees wasconducted as a form of evaluation to the farmers’ knowledge after receiving the training.Based on the results, 1) pre-test results on pests and diseases in tobacco and onion crops,ranged 60%, and increased 80% during post test; 2) knowledge of synthetic chemical fertilizerduring pre-test averaging 40%, and post test 70%, while 3) pretest about mycorrhiza onlyabout 20%, and post-test 40%. The training participants are capable of practicing the way ofmycorrhizal propagation with the appropriate production technology of MycorrhizalArbuscularVascular (MAV) that can be done by the farmers in the marginal land.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh mikoriza indigenous terhadap tekanan serangan penyakit karat daun Phakopsora pachyrhizi Syd pada tanaman kedelai di tanah litosol. Penelitian dilaksanakan di laboratorium Agroekoteknologi dan lahan percobaan di Universitas KH.A. Wahab Hasbullah. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan RAK factorial dengan metode eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perlakuan inokulasi dengan kerapatan pustule yang diuji pada tanaman kedelai pada media tanah litosol tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase intensitas penyakit pada kedelai. Perlakuan K2M2 pada tanaman kedelai yang diuji mempunyai intensitas penyakit karat daun P. pachyrhizi Syd. terendah (8,03 persen) dengan nilai kandungan fenol tertinggi(4,67 persen) pada perakarannya, yang dapat membantu meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman kedelai terhadap infeksi pathogen P. pachyrhizi Syd. Mikoriza sudah menginfeksi perakaran tanaman kedelai yang diuji tujuh hari setelah inokulasi pada media tanah litosol.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pendapatan petani padi dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi melalui variabel dummy usahatani padi di Desa Plandaan dan Desa Klitih. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Februari-Juni 2022 di Kecamatan Plandaan Kabupaten Jombang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni metode Purposive dengan jumlah respoden 48 petani yang diambil dari 2 desa yang berada di Kecamatan Plandaan Kabupaten Jombang. Metode yang digunakan dalam menentukan sampel yaitu Clusster Sampling digunakan untuk menentukan responden petani sebanyak 48 sampel. Penetapan jumlah sampel dibedakan berdasarkan dua kriteria yaitu petani yang menanam varietas ciherang dengan petani yang menanam varietas beragam masing-masing 24 responden. Data diperoleh melalui hasil wawancara dengan responden dan di analisis menggunakan Regresi Linier Berganda serta analisis variabel dummy. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usahatani padi yang menanam Ciherang dengan jumlah produksi rata-rata 881 kw/ha/thn dengan rata-rata biaya pengeluaran Rp 7.856.971/ha sedangkan rata-rata biaya yang dikeluarkan petani Desa Klitih sebesar Rp 7.171.669/ha pendapatan petani padi di Desa Plandaan 2.242.841/ha/thn dan Desa Klitih dengan rata-rata pendapatan petani padi sebesar Rp 2.406.978/ha/tahun.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menjawab masalah warga desa Ngijo, Karangploso, Malang terkait hasil budidaya ikan lele yang belum terserap dengan baik oleh pasar lokal. Sehingga perlu didesain pelatihan  pengolahan  daging ikan lele  menjjadi produk yang representatif, abon lele.   Metode yang digunakan dalam program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini adalah Metode demonstrasi. Metote ini merupakan suatu cara untuk menunjukkan atau memperagakan suatu kegiatan atau teknologi kepada masyarakat dengan tujuan untuk memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan tentang kegiatan tersebut. Prosedure program ini dijjalankan memlaui beberap tahapan; identifikasi kebutuhan khalayak mitra; psosialisasi materi pelatihan , pembuatan olahan dan  pengemasan. Khalayak mitra yang dilibatkan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ibu-ibu PKK desa Ngijo. Khalayak mitra sangat antusias saat dijelaskan bagaimana dan apa saja yang harus dipersiapkan sebelum proses pembuatan sampai dengan cara pembuatanya. Mitra juga berpartisipasi aktif dalam proses pembuatan dengan tujjuan agar mereka benar-benar mengetahui proses pembuatanya. Selama proses berlangsung, banyak yang mitra tanyakan terkait apa yang belum mereka fahami. Setelah Abon lele matang dan dingin, tim mengajak mitra untuk mengemas sebelum nantinya siap dipasarkan.

Abstract

Tujuan pemberdayaan masyarakat (PKM) tentang Optimalisasi Lahan Melalui Pengenalan Pupuk Hayati Untuk Komoditi Pertanian di Kecamatan Ngoro Kabupaten Jombang adalah; 1) mengenalkan tentang pupuk hayati, 2) meningkatkan budidaya pertanian dalam kondisi lingkungan yang kurang mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman, sehingga mampu tetap produktif. Pelaksanaan PKM pada 31 Mei dan 2 Juni 2023 dipusatkan di UNWAHA, dalam dua kegiatan; pemberian materi dan praktek pengenalan pupuk hayati. Khalayak sasaran adalah perwakilan PPL dan anggota kelompok tani serta pelaku usaha tani Kecamatan Ngoro Kabupaten Jombang. Tim PKM pihak UNWAHA terdiri dari dosen Fakultas Pertanian dari UNWAHA dan  Universitas Brawijaya sebagai fasilitator, dan mahasiswa UNWAHA sebagai instruktur. Hasil persentase evaluasi pencapaian kegiatan PKM rata – rata baik (kategori 3 = 80 – 90%) pada kriteria program PKM sesuai dengan keinginan masyarakat terutama khalayak sasaran, dan baik untuk peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat untuk optimalkan lahan pada kondisi air terbatas. Adanya sinergisme antara tim PKM dan mitra dapat dibuktikan dengan antusias khalayak sasaran dalam mengikuti kegiatan tersebut (kategori 4 = 100%). Diharapkan PKM tersebut mampu mendorong pelaku usaha tani dan pemerintah menggiatkan pembuatan dan penggunaan pupuk hayati sebagai salah satu upaya untuk meminimalisir penurunan produksi komoditi pertanian akibat dampak perubahan iklim yang merugikan budidaya pertanian.

Abstract

Salah satu daur ulang limbah organik adalah pembuatan eco enzym. Eco Enzyme adalah produk yang mampu untuk menyelamatkan bumi dari kerusakan akibat gas metana yang berasal dari pembusukan bahan organik sayur dan buah-buahan. Pengabdian berikut memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran green entrepreneurship tentang pentingnya tentang pengolahan kembali sampah organik menjadi sesuatu yang bermanfaat. Metode pendekatan dalam pendampingan yakni Discovery dengan menemukan permasalahan terkait lingkungan, Dream melihat masa depan dengan menpersiapkan secara dini dalam mengolah lingkungan, Design merancang yang akan dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan lingkungan, Define menentukan alternatif pemecahan permasalahn lingkungan dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai eco enzym, Destiny melakukan tindakan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan dengan melakukan sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan eco-frienzym. Hasil kegiatan antusiasnya peserta didik MA Bahrul Ulum dalam kegiatan tersebut, produk eco-frienzym, bertambahnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengelola lingkungan.

Abstract

Flooding due to stagnant water accumulation often occurs when rainfall exceeds the drainage system's capacity or when the soil cannot absorb water quickly enough. One effective solution to address this issue is to enhance the soil's infiltration capacity through biopore technology. By installing biopores, communities can significantly reduce surface water accumulation, especially after heavy rains. This community service initiative aims to raise awareness and promote active involvement in environmental care among residents. Additionally, the program focuses on educating the community about the benefits and techniques for creating biopore infiltration holes through social engagement. The approach taken is based on Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), which prioritizes identifying and utilizing local community assets. The program consists of four main stages: familiarization, asset identification, planning, and implementation. These stages are structured to improve community self-sufficiency and well-being sustainably, engaging the villagers of Made as partners in the process. Overall, the initiative has led to positive outcomes regarding disaster preparedness and community welfare. It has successfully increased understanding of the importance of managing natural resources and the advantages of biopores. The active participation of community members in constructing biopores has resulted in a greater number of infiltration holes in residential areas and agricultural lands. To maintain the program’s sustainability, ongoing monitoring of the biopores and the availability of organic materials is crucial. Furthermore, replicating this initiative in other villages with similar challenges can broaden its positive effects on disaster readiness and community welfare.

Abstract

UNWAHA's community service program, in an effort to Increase Interest in Agriculture through Farming Education for Young Farmers (Petani Cilik = PECI), was implemented at SDN Bicak, Trowulan District, Mojokerto. It was implemented on August 15 - September 1, 2025, with 25 fourth-grade students of SDN Bicak. The activity aimed to foster interest and awareness of the young generation from an early age towards the agricultural sector, so that it could become a career choice as well as a useful activity. The outputs are: 1) The formation of the PECI, which is an important step in fostering children's interest and concern for the world of agriculture, 2) children have the opportunity to learn how to manage plants starting from the process of planting, caring for, harvesting, and making simple Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF). The method applied is a combination of direct practical education and participation of the surrounding village community, literature study methods, and Participatory Learning and Action (PLA). The results obtained are that the PECI Program can encourage students to be able to recognize and practice simple farming methods. The UNWAHA community service Program in Bicak Village was successful in increasing agricultural interest and skills through the Little Farmer training, as evidenced by the increase in the average post-test score compared to the pre-test. This program serves as a means of education and early development so that they grow into the next generation of farmers who care about the environment.

Abstract

The implementation of Community Service Empowering Students as youth entrepreneurs through the utilization of agricultural waste potential at SMAN 1 Tenjo, Bogor Regency aims to: 1) provide knowledge related to the utilization of agricultural waste and its environment, 2) increase student interest in developing the utilization of agricultural waste and its environment into economic value. The expected output in this activity is that students can utilize agricultural waste and its scope into economic value, and play a role in maintaining the school environment. Implementation on 20-21 October 2024 at SMAN 1 Tenjo, and continued on 26-27 October online. The activity partner is the Disaster Safe Education Task Force of SMAN 1 Tenjo, through one of the programs, namely waste mitigation in the school environment. The members of the task force total 20 people. The team consists of lecturers and students from the Faculty of Agriculture, KH.A. Wahab Hasbullah University (UNWAHA). The methods used are lectures, discussions, and practices. The results of the Student Empowerment activity as youth entrepreneurs through the utilization of agricultural waste potential at SMAN 1 Tenjo Bogor, are; 1) there was an increase in the percentage of participants around 55,72% related to understanding the material, 2) generally participants were very satisfied (65%) with the material and training provided, and 3) the implementation of the activity was a follow-up to the cooperation between the two parties and motivated the training participants as young entrepreneurs, increased their love for agriculture, and played a role in protecting their environment.
