Abstract

As one of the locus of stunting prevention in Takalar Regency, Bontokassi Village has 20 stunted children in February 2021 with 16 stunted categories and 4 severe stunted categories. Physical and non-physical interventions are carried out to prevent stunting, such as distributing booklets of six healthy behaviors, distributing IFA supplements (TTD), and nutritional counseling. This activity aimed to increase knowledge and awareness of pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers about stunting, and increase the coverage of iron supplement intake for pregnant women and adolescent girls. The results of the counseling showed that 21.7% of participants experienced an increase in knowledge after the intervention. A total of 21 targets received iron supplements, consisting of three pregnant women and 18 young women. Each target is given four TTD to drink once a week. This intervention activity needs to be carried out on an ongoing basis by Puskesmas officers assisted by Posyandu cadres in order to overcome the stunting problem in this area.   ABSTRAK Sebagai salah satu lokus pencegahan stunting di Kabupaten Takalar, Desa Bontokassi memiliki 20 balita stunting pada Februari 2021 dengan kategori pendek sebanyak 16 balita dan empat kategori sangat pendek. Intervensi fisik dan non fisik dilakukan untuk mencegah stunting, seperti membagikan booklet enam perilaku sehat, membagikan suplemen tablet tambah darah (TTD), dan penyuluhan gizi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran ibu hamil dan ibu menyusui tentang stunting, dan meningkatkan cakupan asupan suplemen TTD pada ibu hamil dan remaja putri. Hasil penyuluhan menunjukkan bahwa 21,7% partisipan mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan setelah intervensi. Sebanyak 21 sasaran mendapatkan suplemen TTD, terdiri dari tiga ibu hamil dan 18 remaja putri. Setiap sasaran diberikan empat TTD untuk diminum satu kali dalam sepekan. Kegiatan intervensi ini perlu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan oleh petugas Puskesmas dibantu oleh kader Posyandu dalam rangka mengatasi masalah stunting di daerah ini.

Abstract

Prevention of Stunting  Through Empowerment of Family Welfare Programme Cadres in Barebbo District in Bone RegencyAbstract. Bone Regency has the highest prevalence of stunting under five in South Sulawesi, after Enrekang district. Family Welfare Programme (PKK) cadres are often empowered in overcoming various problems in the community. This dedication activity aims to empower PKK cadres to prevent stunting in the Barebbo District, Bone Regency. Audience The target of this training is PKK cadres in Barebb Subdistrict. The Community Service Method is to provide training to PKK cadres on stunting prevention. The training was carried out in two ways, namely by providing material on stunting and demonstrations on how to screen stunting to children through anthropometric measurements. Based on the results of the activities carried out, it appears that the training carried out has increased the knowledge of PKK cadres who were trained in the good category by 54.5%. This is in accordance with established indicators of success. The training carried out effectively increased the knowledge and skills of PKK cadres in conducting anthropometric measurements. This is important in preventing stunting in infants. PKK cadres who have been trained are expected to be able to contribute significantly in screening the status of toddlers in the community.Keywords: Toddlers, stunting, prevention, anthropometry. Abstrak. Kabupaten Bone menjadi kabupaten yang memiliki prevalensi balita stunting tertinggi di Sulawesi Selatan, setelah kabupaten Enrekang. Kader PKK sering diberdayakan dalam mengatasi berbagai masalah dalam masyarakat. kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan kader PKK untuk mencegah terjadinya stunting di Kecamatan Barebbo, Kabupaten Bone. Khalayak Sasaran pada pelatihan ini adalah kader PKK di Kecamatan Barebbo.Metode Pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan kepada kader PKK tentang pencegahan stunting. Pelatihan tersebut dilakukan dengan dua cara, yaitu dengan pemberian materi tentang stunting dan demonstrasi tentang cara melakukan skreening stunting pada balita melalui pengukuran antropometri. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, terlihat bahwa pelatihan yang dilakukan telah meningkatkan pengetahuan kader PKK yang dilatih pada kategori baik sebesar 54,5%. Hal ini telah sesuai dengan indikator keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan. Pelatihan yang dilakukan efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader PKK dalam melakukan pengukuran antropometri. Hal tersebut penting dalam melakukan pencegahan stunting pada balita. Kader PKK yang telah dilatih diharapkan mampu berkontribusi secara nyata dalam melakukan skreening status balita di masyarakat.Kata Kunci : Balita, stunting, pencegahan, antropometri

Abstract

Introduction: Several studies have shown that most of the obstacles for mothers when doing lactation management are due to the lack of knowledge about breastfeeding, especially exclusive breastfeeding, which can affect the attitudes and actions/implementation of mothers towards lactation management behavior. One study showed by Ibrahim, et al. (2014) showed that respondents had poor knowledge, attitudes and practices of lactation management (77.2%). The study aimed to describe the lactation management behavior among breastfeeding mothers 0-6 months in Sudiang Raya Health Care Center City of Makassar. Methods: This research was descriptive with 89 sample size mothers 0-6 months chosen by simple random sampling using questionnaire (google form). Data analysis was performed univariate using the SPSS program in frequency distribution from each variable. Result: The results showed that out of 89 respondents, 58 respondents (65.2%) had a good knowledge of lactation management, 28 respondents (31.5%) were in the sufficient category and 3 respondents (3.4%) were in the poor category. And then, from 89 respondents, all respondents had a positive attitude in terms of lactation management (100%). For the practices/actions out of 89 respondents, 58 respondents (65.2%) had good lactation management practices, 30 respondents (33.7%) were in the sufficient category and 1 respondent (1.1%) was in the poor category. Conclusions: The knowledge, attitudes and practices of lactation management among breastfeeding mothers in the work area of the Sudiang Raya Health Care Center City of Makassar in 2020 are mostly in the good category (>60%) Recommendation: Increase knowledge by adding some information about how to do lactation management in a proper way, especially in terms of techniques and breastfeeding positions, which is in practice we found there are still many mothers whose poor category in that part. Abstract

Introduction: Children of primary school age are prone to nutritional problems, one ofwhich is over nutrition. Globally, the prevalence of over nutrition children increased byaround 47.1%, while in Indonesia it increased to 10.8% and 9.2%. The main cause of overnutrition in children is the wrong diet which is influenced by the family and schoolenvironment. Abstract

Pendahuluan: Gangguan mental yang umum terjadi pada mahasiswa yaitu depresi dan kecemasan. Sejumlah penelitian menyebutkan bahwa asam lemak omega-3 memilikiefek pencegahan terhadap gangguan mental seperti depresi dan kecemasan pada remaja dandewasa awal. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran asupan omega 3dan kejadian Common Mental Disorders pada mahasiswa Ilmu Gizi Fakultas KesehatanMasyarakat Universitas Hasanuddin. Bahan dan Metode: Penelitian ini dilakukan padamahasiswa Ilmu Gizi Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Hasanuddin angkatan2017-2019 (n = 138). Asupan omega-3 pada mahasiswa diukur menggunakan SemiQuantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), common mental disorders (CMDs)berupa depresi dan/atau kecemasan diukur menggunakan Depression, Anxiety, and StressScale (DASS) dan dianalisis deskriptif menggunakan SPSS. Hasil: Terdapat 103 mahasiswa(74,6%) dengan tingkat asupan harian omega-3 defisit. Mahasiswa yang mengalami CMDssebanyak 107 mahasiswa (77,5%) diantaranya 4 mahasiswa (2,9%) yang mengalami depresi,65 mahasiswa (47,1%) yang mengalami kecemasan, dan 38 mahasiswa (27,5%) mengalamikeduanya (depresi dan kecemasan). Dari total 103 mahasiswa dengan asupan omega-3 defisitterdapat 80 mahasiswa (58%) yang mengalami CMDs dan 23 mahasiswa (16,7%) yang tidakmengalami CMDs. Kesimpulan: Tingkat asupan omega-3 mahasiswa defisit jauh lebihtinggi daripada tingkat asupan baik dan tingginya kejadian common mental disorders padamahasiswa Ilmu Gizi Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Hasanuddin. Diperlukantindakan lanjut untuk kejadian CMDs dan peningkatan asupan omega-3 pada mahasiswa.

Abstract

Introduction: People who are at risk of having high cholesterol levels are those who adopt adiet that contains saturated fat levels and consumes less fiber. Purpose: This study aims todetermine the relationship between diet and cholesterol levels in overnourished policeofficers.Material and Methods: This research was conducted on 50 police officers at PolrestaSidenreng Rappang. Diet in the police was measured by the SQ-FFQ questionnaire. WhereSQ-FFQ is a method to find out the picture of individual nutritional intake habits at a certaintime. Cholesterol levels were obtained through measurements using Easy Touch GCU anddata for TB (Height), BB (Weight) were obtained from secondary data.. Result: There are 56.0% police officers who have hypercholesterolemia. The results ofstatistical tests using the Fisher Exact test stated that there was a relationship between fiberintake (0.023), frequency of meat (0.029) and frequency of vegetables (0.012) with cholesterol

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Stres oksidatif yang terjadi akibat ketidakseimbangan proses oksidatifdalam tubuh telah diketahui berhubungan dengan berbagai risiko gangguan kesehatan. Stresoksidatif dapat dicegah dengan konsumsi antioksidan. Salah satu pangan yang potensialsebagai sumber antioksidan alami adalah jewawut, tetapi pemanfaatan dan pengembanganjewawut di masyarakat masih kurang banyak dilakukan. Tujuan: Mengidentifikasi senyawafitokimia dan aktivitas antioksidan cookies berbasis tepung jewawut (Foxtail millet) sebagaipangan fungsional. Bahan dan Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif observatif.Dalam penelitian ini digunakan satu formula produk, yaitu formula terpilih cookies berbasistepung jewawut yang sebelumnya telah diuji organoleptik (hedonik). Penelitian ini diawalidengan identifikasi kandungan fitokimia meliputi pemeriksaan alkaloid, fenolik, triterpenoid,steroid, flavonoid, dan tanin. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian aktivitas antioksidan denganmetode pengujian menggunakan 2,2-difenil-1-pikrilhidrazil (DPPH). Hasil: Ekstrak metanolcookies berbasis tepung jewawut mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, fenolik dan tanin.Sementara senyawa triterpenoid dan steroid tidak terdeteksi dalam ekstrak metanol cookiesberbasis tepung jewawut. Ekstrak metanol cookies berbasis tepung jewawut memilikiaktivitas antioksidan dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 111,84 ppm. Kesimpulan: Cookies berbasistepung jewawut mengandung senyawa fitokimia dan aktivitas antioksidan tergolong sedang.Perlu dilakukan optimalisasi ekstraksi dengan menambah variasi pelarut dalam prosesekstraksi.
