Abstract

This research is aimed to describe the implementation of transformational leadership in Junior High School 4 of South Bengkulu. Especially, this research describes: (1) personnels’ comprehension and meaning on transformational leadership; (2) visions of principal’s transformational leadership; (3) implementation of aspects of transformational leadership; and (4) obstacles faced in the implementation of aspects of transformational leadership.The design/method of this research is descriptively qualitative. The subject are personels of Secondary/Junior High School 4 of South Bengkulu. The techniques of collecting the data in this research were used interviews, observations, and study of documents. The data was analyzed by elaborating data, displaying data, and making conclution. The results show that (1) personnels’ comprehension and meaning on transformational leadership is good and important; (2) visions of school principal are good and qualified; (3) the implementation of transformational leadership covers all four aspects (and all four aspects of transformational leadership were implemented in all six school administration aspects, namely budget, facilities, curriculum, students, personnels, and public relation; and (4) the obstacles faced in the implementation are non-technical and technical ones.

Abstract

The general objective of this research was to describe the implementation of the supervision of the teaching by the head of in Public High School  1 Putri Hijau. This study is descriptive study. Subjects consisted of principals, teachers, and student. Data collection techniques are interview, documentation and observation.The results of this study show that: the work program supervision of teaching principals at Public High School  1 Putri Hijau, already has a draft for one year and redefined in the next year, engineering supervision of the implementation of the teaching of the Public High School 1 Putri Hijau carried out by an indirect approach and in Public High School 1 Putri Hijau carried out with the direct approach, and already  good family relationships among teachers

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the management of libraries in SMAN 1 Curup, specific objectives are to describe: the procurement plan library collections and the library service, procurement activities of the library collection, processing library collection, library services to visitors, monitoring and evaluation as well as follow further to the monitoring and evaluation activities. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this study is the head of the library, librarian, Teachers, students, and school principals. The techniques for collected data were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data gotten by observation, interviews, and documentation.and data analysis techniques in the form of reduction, data display, and verification. The results showed the library management has been implemented properly.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the management of forth level leadership training at Education and Training Center of Lubuklinggau City. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitatif. The technique of collecting the data through interview, observations and documentation. The result of the research show that the the management of forth level leadership training at Education and Training Center of Lubuklinggau City implemented with the goal of building the civil servants’ operational leadership competencies who will or who have occupied echelon IV. The capability is the ability to plan the agency's activities and lead the implementation of these activities. that the the management of forth level leadership training at Education and Training Center of Lubuklinggau City has managed by structural trainning sector and the division head of leadership training as a tecnical implementation of the activities.

Abstract

This study described the role of principal to improving teacher’s discipline. The problems in this research was the role of principal to improve teacher’s discipline at SMAN 1 Bengkulu Tengah. The method of this research was descriptive approach. The subjects of this research were the principal, and eighteen subject teacher. The Data’s were collected through interviews, observations, and documentations. Data analysis was included data collection, reductioning data, display datato know how the role of the principals to improving teacher discipline 1 Bengkulu Tengah, Bengkulu Province. At last the research could be conclude that the role of the principals toimproving teacher’s discipline wouldl also increase the students discipline at SMAN 1 Bengkulu Tengah.The role of the principal toimproving teacher discipline could be attributed to the principal's role as manager, leader, motivator, and supervisor. The example of the principal that has been applied by the headmaster of SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Tengah it has been referring to the discipline indicator namely objectives and abilities, leadership examples, compensation, firmness, employee loyalty. It has also referred to the indicators of the principal's leadership of mobilizing, directing, motivating and supervising.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are to describe about academic supervision program, the implementation of academic supervision, the evaluation through the process and result of academic supervision and the headmaster followed action in implementing  the academic supervision in Junior High School 13 South Bengkulu. This study used a qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. After the research we can conclude that the implementation of academic supervision had been done fit to common academic supervision principle. The continued action that is taken by the headmaster in implementing academic supervision were by re-observe the result of supervision, made some revision toward supervision program, and made some improvement to the teachers individually or group .

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to describe about the management of English teaching-learning  in reading comprehension skill at the  Junior High School number 15 of  South Bengkulu. The research used qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this research were principals, vice principals, English Teacher and students at the Junior High School Number 15 of South Bengkulu. The techniques of the collecting data were observation, interview, and documentation study. The results of the study show that: planning was planned successfully, implementation was done appropriate with the planning, evaluation was done continually, the follow up in the  English Teaching-Learning Management  in Reading Comprehension Skill was done well at the Junior High School Number 15 South Bengkulu.

Abstract

This research was carried out to find out the extracurricular management of dancing in developing chinestetics intelligence by using Add-On (Linked) method at SD Negeri 07 Lebong Regency. This research was in descriptive qualitative method. The subject of the study amounted to 9 students of the dance members of SD Negeri 07 Lebong Regency .The instruments in this research were guided interview and guided observation. The analysis of data was done by analyzing all data gathered from interview, observation, and documentation in the form of dancing video. The obtained data was analyzed through reducing data, collecting data, and giving conclusion. Credibility testing was through increased persistence, triangulation and member check. The result of the research showed that (1) management related to the planning of extracurricular dance activities is to prepare dance, determine the schedule of practice and make disciplines that are conveyed orally, 2) management related to the implementation of extracurricular dance activities, namely, the use of Add-On (Linked) method in each exercise. This method is implemented gradually so that students can easily memorize dance moves consisting of 17 movements, 3) management related to evaluation is to use four aspects to see the development of kinesthetic intelligence of students. There is an improvement in every aspect of dance practice so that students have been able to develop their kinesthetic intelligence well. The conclusion of this study is (1) on the planning of researchers adding Add-On (Linked) method and planning to practice as many as 6 meetings within 2 weeks (2) on the implementation process of using Ad-On (Linked) method in dance practice has a good effect in developing students  kinesthetic intelligence, while (3) evaluation needs to be done to see the development of kinesthetic intelligence of students every time exercise.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between extracurricular interests follow Scouting education with discipline a member Gudep found in Bengkulu City cluster of X. The quantitative approach used and the type of research that used korelasional. The population in this research is the entire members of the Gudep contained in the cluster X 332 by the amount of Bengkulu City students. The sample in this research totalled 84 students. Sampling techniques in the research of this proportionate stratified random sampling. Instrument in this study is the sheet now. Data collection techniques using question form. Data analysis techniques using test prerequisites and test hypotheses using the correlation formula product moment. The results of this research show that the value of rxy = 0.695 with rtabel = 0.212 (0.695 > 0.212), KP = 48.3%, and thitung = 5.74, with ttabel = 1.663 (5.74 > 1.663). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between interest in extracurricular education follow Scouting with the discipline of members in Gudep cluster X city of Bengkulu.
