Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of agricultural land tenure status on rainfed lowland rice production in Banyumas Regency. One of the most important factors of production affecting the production of rainfed lowland rice is the land used. This study used  survey method by taking primary data and secondary data. Primary data obtained through a list of questions that have been prepared, while secondary data obtained from the relevant agencies. The sampling method is carried out by stratified random sampling. Each stratum of the sample is drawn with a total sample of 50 farmer respondents. Data were analyzed used one-way analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA). The results of this study indicated that the amount of rainfed lowland rice production in Banyumas District showed significant difference between farmers who were not owners and farmers who own land. Non-owner farmers get an average production yield greater than those of farmers who own rainfed lowland rice in Banyumas Regency.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to provide a new strategy for establishing a business partnership in citronella cultivation in Kedungrandu Village, Patikraja District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. The study methodology uses SWOT analysis for identifying both internal and external factor. The internal factors comprise four strengths and three weaknesses. The external factors encompass four opportunities and two potential threats. The use of SWOT analysis factors provides eight strategies, which will be evaluated using the AHP analysis instrument to determine the strategic priorities for the citronella farming business partnership in Patikraja District.

Abstract

Consumer awareness of a healthy lifestyle is driving an increase on demand for food products that are low in sodium, gluten-free, and made from natural ingredients. Coconut aminos with the brand "Gulapa" is one of the new products to meet the demand made by PT. Berkat Petani Indonesia. For this reason, market research is needed regarding the position of the product from the consumer's perspective. This study was aimed to analyze the market potential of coconut aminos "Gulapa", evaluate consumer preferences, and identify effective marketing strategies. The research period was 5 (five) months in 2024 in Banyumas, Purbalingga, Purwokerto, and Cilacap Regencies, Central Java Province. The descriptive analysis method was used with data collection using qualitative approach through observation and interviews, as well as secondary data analysis. Data was analyzed using worksheet as a tool to represent what was to be known and researched. The results of the worksheet analysis can be concluded that most consumers were not familiar with coconut aminos products, but have high interest in trying them. Consumer preferences for choosing healthy coconut aminos include a priority order in the form of brand reputation, taste, price, and ease of purchase access. Consumers tend to choose local products over imports. The main distribution channels preferred by consumers include supermarkets, online stores, and grocery stores. The product has great potential to compete in the market. Recommended marketing strategies include consumer education, brand image strengthening, and distribution expansion. The implications of the results of this study are the product of coconut aminos “Gulapa” has a fairly broad market opportunity, a clear marketing strategy direction, and the need for continuous market education. With the proper approachment, coconut aminos “Gulapa” could be the main choice as a substitute for traditional soy sauce in Indonesia.

Abstract

Koperasi Semedo Manise Sejahtera merupakan salah satu koperasi di Kabupaten Banyumas yang menghasilkan berbagai macam produk gula kelapa. Permasalahan yang terdapat pada kelompok ini yakni berupa kondisi sarana dan prasarana dan cara penderesan yang tidak sesuai dengan standar GMP. Permasalahan hygiene dan sanitasi yang terdapat pada kelompok sangat kurang diperhatikan, peralatan yang tidak bersih, proses produksi dan packaging produk yang tidak menggunakan sarung tangan serta masker, tempat produksi yang kurang bersih serta banyaknya kotoran di langit-langit, dsb. Demi mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, maka dilaksanakan program penyuluhan dan pelatihan mengenai produksi gula kelapa yang sesuai dengan Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, anggota koperasi menjadi lebih paham, mampu dan terampil dalam pembuatan gula kelapa yang sesuai dengan standar Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of crop failure due to drought on household food security of rice farmers in Banyumas Regency which occurred during the second planting season in 2019. Analytical descriptive method was used in this study, with the technical implementation of the research using the survey method. The method of research analysis is by comparing the level of household food security of rice farmers in Banyumas Regency when farmers experience a normal harvest with when farmers experience harvest failure. Measurement of the level of food security using the Jonsson and Toole Model, namely by cross-classifying the Food Expenditure Share (FES) and Energy Adequacy Rate (EAR). After collecting and analyzing the data, it was found that crop failure did not affect the amount of energy adequacy ratio relative to farm households. However, crop failure affects the Share of Food Expenditure, where farming households that have high FES are increasing. With the increase in FES, this results in lower household food security, because FES and food security are inversely related. With the harvest failure, the number of farm households that are food resistant decreases, food vulnerability increases, food insecurity increases and food insecurity increases.

Abstract

Kedelai merupakan sumber protein yang sangat digemari masyarakat Indonesia. Poduksi kedelai dalam negeri hanya mampu memenuhi sekitar 30 persen dari total kebutuhan, dan sisanya bergantung pada pasokan kedelai impor. Desa Tayem merupakan salah satu daerah penghasil kedelai di Kecamatan Karangpucung. Pada tahun 2022 Desa Tayem memiliki luas lahan 38 hektar dengan total produksi 47,88 ton dan produktivitas 1,26 ton/ha. Produktivitas tersebut masih tergolong rendah dibandingkan rata-rata produktivitas kedelai nasional sebesar 1,67 ton/ha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi kedelai, tingkat efisiensi, dan sumber inefisiensi teknis pada usahatani kedelai di Desa Tayem Kecamatan Karangpucung Kabupaten Cilacap. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dan diperoleh 50 petani sebagai responden. Analisis fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglas digunakan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi usahatani kedelai. Analisis efisiensi produksi digunakan untuk menganalisis efisiensi teknis, efisiensi alokatif, efisiensi ekonomi, dan sumber inefisiensi teknis. Hasil pendugaan model produksi Cobb-Douglas menunjukkan variabel yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi kedelai meliputi luas lahan, jumlah benih, dan pupuk urea. Capaian tingkat efisiensi teknis, efisiensi alokatif, dan efisiensi ekonomi usahatani kedelai berturut-turut 0,87; 3,61; 3,14. Hal ini menunjukkan usahatani kedelai di Desa Tayem belum efisien. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat inefisiensi teknis usahatani kedelai di Desa Tayem adalah umur petani, jumlah tanggungan keluarga, dan keikutsertaan petani dalam penyuluhan.

Abstract

Desa Kalisari merupakan sentra produksi tahu di Kabupaten Banyumas. Bahan baku pembuatan tahu adalah kedelai impor asal Amerika Serikat. Permintaan kedelai impor pada perajin tahu dipengaruhi oleh faktor sosial dan ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mengetahui karakteristik perajin tahu di Desa Kalisari, (2) menganalisis adanya pengaruh faktor-faktor sosial ekonomi terhadap permintaan kedelai impor pada perajin tahu di Desa Kalisari, (3) mengetahui tingkat elastisitas pada permintaan kedelai impor perajin tahu di Desa Kalisari. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Kalisari, Kecamatan Cilongok, Kabupaten Banyumas pada tahun 2022. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survei. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan Simple Random sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 60 responden perajin tahu. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif, analisis regresi linear berganda dan elastisitas permintaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristis perajin tahu di Desa Kalisari sebagian besar berjenis kelamin laki-laki, tergolong dalam usia produktif 15 sampai 65 tahun, berpendidikan SD, penggunaan kedelai impor sebagai bahan baku tahu skala menengah yaitu 640 sampai 2.521 kg per bulan, pengalaman usaha antara 20 sampai 38 tahun, frekuensi pembelian kedelai yaitu  9 sampai 28 kali per bulan dengan rata-rata pendapatan usaha bersih perajin tahu diperoleh sebesar Rp 6.408.418 selama periode satu bulan. Faktor- faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan kedelai impor perajin tahu di Desa Kalisari adalah harga kedelai lokal, pendapatan usaha bersih dan kualitas kedelai. Elastisitas permintaan harga kedelai impor bersifat inelastis dengan nilai 0,05 dan elastisitas silang menunjukkan bahwa kedelai lokal merupakan barang pelengkap kedelai impor.
