Abstract

Articulate Storyline (AS) is a learning media creation software that presents materials with storylines. The presence of added characters makes the learning media more interactive and more immersed in the story presented. The use of characters is expected to appeal to students learning. The topic used in the learning media developed is Dynamic Fluid. The purpose of this research is to design a physics learning medium that implements Dynamic Fluid theories into a storyline using an Articulate Storyline. According to contextual learning theory, good learning is learning that is applicable to daily life. For further media development, researchers plan to raise the life of a plumber and associate it with Dynamic Fluid materials according to the High School Curriculum. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D). Media can be used via web and android. This study stated that the learning media developed is worth using with a validity value of 90.71% classified as very valid. The positive response of students to the media by 99.16%, which belongs to the category, is very good. The percentage of learning activities completed through the comprehension test was 84.4%, which falls into the category of very good. Dynamic fluid learning media based on the Articulate Storyline is suitable for use as a learning resource and as a learning companion for grade 11 high school students.

Abstract

Process skills and creativity in physics learning are associations of thinking. These two things are the main components of physics and the goals demanded by the 2013 curriculum. One learning model that can be applied to improve science process skills using a guided inquiry model based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This study aimed to describe the implementation of the guided inquiry model and STEM-based science process skills, as well as the effect of the STEM-based guided inquiry model on students' science process skills in the material of light waves in class XI IPA. This research method uses descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results represent that the STEM-based guided inquiry model was very well implemented. Students' science process skills have increased after applying the STEM-based guided inquiry model. The STEM-based guided inquiry model has a significant effect, with the paired t-test results showing that in the experimental class, the count≥ table is 17.42 ≥ 2.06, while the control class is 10.00 ≥ 2.06. The independent t-test results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes indicated with count> table, that is, 5.65 > 2.01.

Abstract

This research developed learning media based on animated videos, namely AFIKA. AFIKA specifically focuses on impulse and momentum as a learning topic. This study proposes to enhance student learning outcomes and confirm the feasibility of applying AFIKA in class. This study describes the validity assessment, the evaluation of learning implementation using AFIKA, and the learning evaluation results obtained from the pre-test and post-test assessments. This study applied the PIE development model, which comprises three stages: Plan (planning), Implementation (implementation), and Evaluate (evaluation). Data was collected through the expertise of validators to determine the validity of the media; Observers were responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of learning activities in the classroom; Students provided feedback through response questionnaires, and their performance was assessed through pre-test and post-test evaluations. This study got 32 students from class X-3 of One of the Islamic High Schools in Gresik as the participants. The research instrument utilized a Likert scale to measure the scores. The findings of the conducted development research indicate that the AFIKA media, focusing on the topics of impulse and momentum in physics, achieved a validity score of 98.99% across material, media, and language aspects, indicating a high level of validity. Implementing learning activities using AFIKA media in class X-3 was highly successful, achieving a percentage of 98.66%. The overall response from students towards AFIKA media was positive. There was an improvement in the learning outcomes of class X-3 students in the physics of impulse and momentum after the implementation of AFIKA media, with an average N-Gain of 0.288, indicating a low level of improvement. The results suggest that AFIKA's animated video media on impulse and momentum material is practical and suitable for implementation. However, it may have a limited impact on increasing learning outcomes, which various factors could influence.

Abstract

Virtual laboratory is useful as an alternative to real laboratory where virtual laboratory can provide facilities that are not available in real laboratory and help prepare students for real experiences in real laboratory. This study aimed to determine the validity of the Filasik virtual laboratory media. The research model used is the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) and the phases carried out up to the development phase. In the analysis phase, a needs analysis was carried out which consists of the needs of students and laboratory facilities. In the design phase, product design was carried out using HTML5 <canvas> with the javascript programming language. In the development phase, product development is carried out and tested on expert validators. The validation sheet consists of 4 aspects, namely display aspect, navigation aspect, program operation aspect, and usability aspect. The results of the validation assessment of the developed Filasik virtual laboratory were 95% and had very good qualifications and valid description with the reliability of validation results of 97%. So, the Filasik virtual laboratory is valid for use in learning on temperature material and thermometer measurements.

Abstract

Education is an integral part of a nation’s life. The Indonesian Government has taken crucial action to improve the quality of education, starting with improving the curriculum, teachers' quality, and the use of technology in class. Curriculum 2013 encourages students to be more active in their learning process. However, teachers sometimes only rely on textbooks so that learning objectives are not achieved and students are less motivated to learn the topic. This research aims to develop media that can facilitate cooperation between teachers and students, namely the Fikaso card game. More specifically, this research was conducted to describe the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of Fikaso cards in learning to improve students' learning outcomes. The study was developed with the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model. The results of the discussion show that the Fikaso cards that have been developed are declared: (1) Very valid or very feasible to use with an average percentage of 89%, (2) Effective with an effectiveness percentage of 73%, and can improve student learning outcomes with an N-gain value of 0.56 which is categorized as a moderate increase, and (3) Very practical to use with an average percentage of 92%.
