Abstract

Abstract[Improvement of students learning outcomes by applying the video of coffee-mixture identification using UV-Visible Spectroscopy]. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the differences of student learning outcomes on electromagnetic wave materials and how students respond to the learning videos. This research was an experimental research which applies video coffee-mixture identification. The study was conducted in grade X islamic high school consisting of experimental class and control class. Based on the data analysis, the average post-test grade of the experimental class was 82.11 and the mean post-test control grade was 72.88 with tcount = 0,038 which is lower than the value of significance (0,05). The N-gain values of both classes indicate that the experimental class (0.72) is better than the control class (0.61). This suggests the adoption of a coffee-mixture identification video on electromagnetic wave material able to improve greater learning outcomes than control class that did not apply the video to the learning process. The result of questionnaire analysis shows that the student response to video implementation is good, as seen from the average score of responses of students who answered strongly agree at 40% level, while the answer agree at 53.83% level, not agree at 5.43% level and who answered very disagreeing 0.74% of all students. Keywords: Coffee-mixture; UV-Visible spectroscopy; electromagnetic waves; learning video.(Received August 15 2018; Accepted January 25, 2019; Published February 25, 2019) AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menjelaskan perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi gelombang elektromagnetik dan bagaimana respon siswa terhadap video pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang menerapkan video identifikasi campuran kopi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Madrasah Aliyah kelas X yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, rata-rata nilai post-test kelas eksperimen adalah 82,11 dan rata-rata nilai post-test kelas kontrol 72,88 dengan nilai thitung = 0,038 < nilai signifikansi (0,05). Adapun nilai N-gain dari kedua kelas menunjukkan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen  (0,72) lebih baik dari  pada kelas kontrol (0,61). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan video identifikasi campuran kopi pada materi gelombang elektromagnetik dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar yang lebih besar dibandingkan kelas kontrol yang tidak menerapkan video pada proses pembelajarannya. Sedangkan hasil analisis angket diketahui bahwa respon siswa terhadap penerapan video adalah baik, terlihat dari nilai rata-rata respon siswa yang menjawab sangat setuju sebesar 40%, sedangkan yang menjawab setuju sebesar 53,83%, tidak setuju sebesar 5,43% dan  yang menjawab sangat tidak setuju sebesar 0,74% dari keseluruhan siswa. Kata kunci: Campuran kopi; spektroskopi UV-Vis; gelombang elekromagnetik; video pembelajaran

Abstract

Online guidance and counseling services began to thrive during the Covid-19 pandemic in the 21st century. The emergence of online-based media and platforms offers various facilities that can support guidance and counseling services more effectively, efficiently, and professionally. Electronic devices that can be used are computers, smartphones, tape recorders, and several technology devices. Technological sophistication attracts participation in various life activities, including education-oriented communication processes. Guidance and counseling are part of educational activities. A collaboration of technological sophistication with guidance and counseling can be supported through attractive features in a device. Emojis are one of the features available on some technology devices. Generally, emojis are used in the communication process to represent feelings and thoughts when conveying messages without the need to write a complete statement. This writing aims to provide information about emojis in online guidance and counseling service media. The writing method used is a literature study, data sources obtained from research articles and books relevant to writing. The data source analysis results show that emojis have a significant effect on the application of online guidance and counseling services for counselees in schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of problem-based learning learning models with mind map supplements to improve the critical thinking skills of grade IV students of SD Inpres Roja 2 Kota Ende. The type of research used is pre-experimental design with one group pre-test -post test design design. The population of this study was all grade IV students of SD Inpres Roja 2 Kota which amounted to 24 people. The sampling technique used is non probability sampling with a saturated sampling type. Data collection techniques in this study are in the form of multiple choice tests and essays. Data on the implementation of the problem-based learning model with the supplement of mind maps improved critical thinking skills at meeting I with a score of 75% in the good category and the second meeting with a score of 85.4% in the excellent category. Data on the critical thinking ability of students were tested for normality by the kolmogorov smirnov method and then tested for homogeneity in the variance test. The results of this test show that the distributed data is normal and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing using the t-test obtained a t-count of 11.445 while the t-table at a significant level of 5% was 2,019. The results show that the t-count is greater than the t-table so that it can be inferred Ha in the received and H0 in the rejected. The effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning Model learning model with mind map supplements Improving critical thinking skills Grade IV students of SD Inpres Roja 2 Kota Ende were tested for effect size using the cohen's effect size formula, the results showed 2.62 with a range of criteria in the cohen's formula, which is 0.8-2.0 which is classified as high based on the classification of the effect size test, which means that the problem-based learning learning model with the supplement of the mind map is effective in improve critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Isotonic drink is the carbonated or non-carbonated drink product used to subtitute the fluid lost in the body. Lack of fluid in the body can cause muscle fatigue until causing the performance decrease in athlete. Isotonic drink can accelerate the return of body fluid compared to water. The purpose of this research was to analyze the content of energy, sodium, potassium, and Vitamin C in isotonic drink with raw material coconut water, pure coconut oil, bee bread, palm vinegar, and honey as high energy natural istotonic drink. The research design used was descriptive observation based laboratory test. The data analysis employed SPSS 22 programs namely by carrying out descriptive test until obtained the average for each isotonic namely 247,491 kkla, sodium 77,085 mg.kg, potassium 1000,785 mg/kg and Vitamin C 2,112 mg. This research concluded that the energy drink content has fulfilled the quality specification of isotonic drink, while the sodium and potassium level do not fulfill the quality specification of isotonic drink yet. Likewise with the Vitamin C content which also does not fulfill the Referrence of Nutrition Label namely 10%.

Abstract

Stunting and malnutrition are critical issues affecting children in rural areas, including Desa Punti, Kecamatan Soromandi. This community service program aimed to optimize the role of Posyandu (Integrated Service Post) in addressing stunting and improving nutritional awareness among mothers. The methods included participatory community engagement, nutrition education, and monthly health check-ups for children under five. Results showed increased community participation, improved child nutritional status, and enhanced health knowledge among mothers. These findings highlight the potential of Posyandu as a cornerstone for preventive health measures. Further efforts are needed to sustain these initiatives through local stakeholder collaboration.

Abstract

The high maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is related to many factors, one of which is pregnancy, where complications during pregnancy are not detected because pregnant women do not utilize ANC. Problems that occur in pregnancy can be prevented by pregnancy check-ups. The importance of ANC visits is not yet a top priority for most pregnant women. Based on Green's theory, there are predisposing factors (education, knowledge), reinforcing factors (husband support) and enabling factors that can influence a person's behavior. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the compliance of pregnant women in third trimester pregnancy checks at the Nurussalam Health Center, East Aceh Regency in 2024. This type of research is observational analytic, survey method and cross sectional design. This study was conducted at the Nurussalam Health Center, East Aceh Regency in April-May 2024. The sample was TMT III pregnant women totaling 40 people taken by accidental sampling. The study showed that the compliance of TMT III pregnancy examination in the majority was not compliant, namely 24 respondents (60%). There is a relationship between maternal education and compliance with TMT III pregnancy check-ups with a Pvalue = 0.001 < a = 0.05. There is a relationship between maternal knowledge with TMT III pregnancy check-up compliance with a Pvalue = 0.014 < a = 0.05. There is a relationship between husband's support with TMT III pregnancy check-up compliance with a Pvalue = 0.021 < a = 0.05. It is hoped that this study can be a reference to be able to check their pregnancy regularly in accordance with current regulations, so that obstetric and neonatal emergencies can be managed early so as to reduce morbidity and mortality of both mothers and babies.

Abstract

WHO mencatat secara global prevalensi anak dan remaja usia 5–19 tahun dengan status kurus sebesar 10,5%, kelebihan berat badan 18%, dan obesitas 6,8%. Data Riskesdas 2018 menunjukkan peningkatan proporsi gizi lebih pada remaja usia 16–18 tahun dari 11,5% menjadi 13,6%. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan pola makan dan aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian gizi lebih pada siswa MAN 2 Palu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi sebanyak 310 siswa, dan sampel sebanyak 175 responden yang dipilih secara simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner SQ-FFQ, kuesioner aktivitas fisik, serta pengukuran berat dan tinggi badan. Analisis data menggunakan uji Somers’d. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 95 responden (54,3%) mengalami gizi lebih. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara asupan karbohidrat (p=0,000), protein (p=0,000), dan lemak (p=0,000) dengan kejadian gizi lebih. Namun, asupan serat (p=0,046) dan aktivitas fisik (p=0,820) tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Asupan lemak merupakan faktor yang paling dominan terkait kejadian gizi lebih (OR=2,158 95%CI :1.016-4.229). Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya intervensi gizi yang menekankan pengendalian asupan lemak melalui edukasi gizi di sekolah, pengaturan kantin sehat, dan keterlibatan orang tua dalam membentuk pola makan sehat di rumah. Upaya ini penting untuk menekan prevalensi gizi lebih dan mencegah risiko penyakit tidak menular sejak usia remaja.

Abstract

Adolescents are vulnerable to nutritional problems, especially in disaster-prone areas where access to nutritious food is limited. Sigi District, Central Sulawesi, was severely affected by the 2018 earthquake and liquefaction, which disrupted food security and increased instant food consumption. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of balanced nutrition education using a pre-test and post-test approach in improving students’ knowledge of healthy eating at SMK 1 Sigi. The intervention involved 30 students who received lectures and leaflets on the Balanced Nutrition Guidelines. Knowledge was assessed through pre- and post-tests, and differences were analyzed statistically. Results indicated a significant increase in mean knowledge scores from 37.31 ± 15.89 to 65.77 ± 21.20 (p < 0.05). The proportion of students in the poor category decreased from 93.33% to 30%, while those in the fair and reasonable categories increased substantially. These findings highlight that simple educational interventions can enhance adolescents’ nutritional awareness in disaster-affected areas. Therefore, balanced nutrition education should be integrated into school health programs as a sustainable preventive strategy

Abstract

Pengelolaan air limbah di lembaga pendidikan keagamaan berperan krusial dalam memastikan tercapainya standar sanitasi aman. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi kinerja sistem pengolahan air limbah pada tujuh pondok pesantren di Kota Palu melalui kombinasi pendekatan kuisioner kepada santri dan pengurus, inspeksi lapangan terhadap infrastruktur sanitasi, serta analisis laboratorium terhadap kualitas efluen. Data persepsi diolah menggunakan skala Likert dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil pengujian laboratorium menunjukkan bahwa seluruh parameter kualitas efluen—termasuk TSS, BOD, COD, pH, minyak dan lemak, serta amoniak—berada dalam rentang baku mutu yang dipersyaratkan Permen LHK No. P.68/2016, mengindikasikan bahwa IPAL beroperasi secara efektif. Temuan observasi mengungkap bahwa sebagian besar pesantren memiliki kinerja pengelolaan yang baik hingga sangat baik; namun sejumlah aspek seperti pemeliharaan fasilitas, kecukupan jumlah WC, dan pencatatan operasi IPAL masih menunjukkan celah yang perlu diperbaiki. Analisis kuisioner menunjukkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat di kalangan santri berada pada kategori baik, meskipun tingkat konsistensinya masih bervariasi. Penelitian ini menekankan perlunya penambahan fasilitas sanitasi sesuai rasio santri, peningkatan kapasitas atau modifikasi IPAL untuk mengantisipasi pertumbuhan populasi, serta penguatan mekanisme operasi dan pemeliharaan melalui pencatatan rutin. Dukungan monitoring dari instansi terkait menjadi faktor penting untuk menjamin keberlanjutan pengelolaan air limbah di lingkungan pendidikan keagamaan.
