Abstract

Taman Lenteng Agung is located in Lenteng Agung Village, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta, DKI Jakarta. The park, which has an area of 14,000 m2, is a riparian zone. The riparian zone is a transitional space between rivers and land, which in the zone serves as a buffer from land. Several points in the Pingkal Park area are landslide-prone areas. One of the causes of intense soil movement on sloping land is a land management system that is not based on soil conservation principles. Perennials that can accommodate the soil are very limited in population on the slopes due to massive development. This community service activity aims to convey information about the function, benefits of riparian zones, erosion potential, and soil movement that can occur in Taman Pingkal. The method used in the implementation of this activity is in the form of socialization through booklet media. Participants were collected in the park and then given material through socialization by distributing booklets to activity participants. The socialization participants amounted to 15 people from the community and park managers who used the park for sports activities and recreational activities. The result obtained from this activity is that the manager and the community still do not know the functions and benefits of riparian zones, with this activity the community becomes aware of the functions and benefits of the park and has the desire to keep the park from being damaged. The use of booklet media can be an alternative for the community to obtain information about the functions and benefits of the park. Based on the results obtained from socialization activities, the dissemination of information to the community around the park needs to be expanded. The community needs to be involved in the management of the park as an open space. In addition, the attention of the local government to the sustainability and comfort of the park as an open space for the community is expected to be increased.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a high risk of natural disasters, especially earthquakes. This is influenced by the geological location of Indonesia which is at the confluence of three active plates, namely the Pacific Plate, the Indo-Australia Plate and the Eurasi Plate which results in Indonesia having complex tectonic zones. In addition to active plates, several places in Indonesia also have active faults. One of the active faults on the island of Java is the Baribis Fault which crosses from East to West through the Bekasi area, Jakarta. So that vigilance and preparedness are needed in dealing with the potential disaster. One of the activities that needs to be carried out to improve preparedness is to carry out mitigation efforts by introducing students to using booklet media and disaster simulations. The target of this activity is grade XI students of Senior High School in Bekasi City. This activity was carried out at Madrasah Al-Awiyah, the method used was a presentation using booklet media containing earthquake material, potential, threats, and mitigation efforts carried out during and after an earthquake. This activity also uses simulations to provide better understanding when an earthquake occurs. Based on the results of the questionnaire distributed, 50% of participants were able to answer questions related to earthquakes and mitigation efforts that must be carried out during and after the earthquake. This activity is also in collaboration with the Bekasi City Regional Disaster Management Agency and Islamic University 45 Bekasi.   Abstrak Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki risiko tinggi dari adanya bencana alam, terutama gempa bumi. Abstract

Forest and land fires often occur in the Lamandau Regency area, Central Kalimantan, which causes forest function to no longer be optimal due to forest and land fire disasters which continuously occur every year. This research aims to determine the severity of forest and land fires that occurred in Lamandau Regency in 2021 and 2022. The method used in this research is the Normalized Burned Ratio (NBR). The results of the research include mapping the severity of forest and land fires in 2021-2022 in Lamandau Regency. In 2021, the area affected by forest fires reached 151,750 hectares, 48 hectares in the very severe category, 2,156 hectares in the severe category. There will be a decrease in 2022 with an area affected by forest and land fires of 40,982 hectares, a reduction of more than 50% from 2021. The area of very badly burned areas has decreased, to 0.08 hectares. Meanwhile, the area of severely burned areas experienced a significant decrease, reaching 207 hectares. The land use affected in 2022 is forest of 82,284 hectares, plantations of 53,921 hectares. Other land uses such as open land and settlements do not have a large enough impact with an affected area of 1000 hectares. The worst affected land use in 2022 will be forests covering an area of 27,284 hectares, plantations covering an area of 10,361 hectares. However, in the use of residential land and built-up land as well as open land, the area burned has increased by 1000 hectares. This study shows a decrease in the severity of forest and land fires that occurred in 2021 and 2022.

Abstract

The occurrence of landslides in Indonesia has been consistently increasing over the years, particularly in mountainous regions during the rainy season. The country's tectonic conditions, easily brittle volcanic rocks, and wet tropical climate contribute to the heightened potential for landslide disasters. The combination of anthropogenic and natural factors, leading to changes in land use, further exacerbates the risk of landslides, resulting in loss of life and property. This research focuses on the Purabaya Subdistrict, Sukabumi Regency, with the aim of analyzing landslide vulnerability. The analysis results in the creation of a Landslide Vulnerability Map for Purabaya Subdistrict, utilizing a scoring method overlaying rainfall maps, rock type maps, slope inclination maps, land use maps, and soil type maps. A total of 156 land units are identified with classifications of low, moderate, high, and very high landslide vulnerability. Areas with high and very high vulnerability levels encompass 49.52% of the total area, while low vulnerability areas constitute only 6.19%. Purabaya Subdistrict stands out with a dominant high vulnerability level, contributing 49.52% to the total area, whereas low vulnerability areas only cover 6.19%. These findings provide a foundation for landslide disaster risk management in the region.

Abstract

Cities are places of life and centers of various human activities. The increasing population density and human needs for land use can certainly reduce the density of existing vegetation. This land use change can affect green cover in Sukoharjo Regency. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze land use change from the level of vegetation density in Sukoharjo Regency in 2013 and 2023 using the NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) method. The use of digital remote sensing data, namely Landsat 8 image data, makes it possible to determine the distribution of vegetation density in each type of land use. The object of this research is vegetation density within 10 years, namely in 2013 and 2023 in Sukoharjo Regency. The variables of this research include vegetation density with NDVI values in Sukoharjo District in 2013 and 2023 and changes in vegetation density in Sukoharjo District. According to the results of the interpretation of Landsat 8 images, in 2013 and 2023 transformed with NDVI and classified into 5 classes of vegetation density, it is known that in 2013-2023 in Sukoharjo District there were changes in vegetation density in each class.

Abstract

Bandung Regency experiences significant dynamics of surface temperature change due to rapid development and land use change. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Land Surface Temperature (LST) in Bandung Regency during the 2018-2022 period and identify the factors that influence it. The method used is the analysis of Modis Terra Land Surface Temperature and Emissivity 8-Day Global satellite image data using Google Earth Engine to produce average surface temperature distribution data presented in the form of graphs and temporal maps. The results showed surface temperature variations ranging from 18°C to 32°C, with distribution patterns influenced by topography and land cover. The mountain-dominated southern region has temperatures of 18-20°C, while the northern and northeastern regions reach 28-32°C. There is a seasonal pattern where the September-October period shows the highest temperatures, while June-July is relatively stable. Land conversion, which accounts for 34,327.48 hectares (49.25%) of total land change in the BMA, contributes significantly to surface temperature dynamics. It can be concluded that land cover change, infrastructure development activities, and topographic factors have a major influence on surface temperature variability in Bandung Regency, so that stricter spatial management and integrated afforestation programs are needed to mitigate the impact of increasing surface temperatures.
