Abstract

Examination of serum urea and creatinine levels is important to determine the physiological condition of the kidneys. Patients with kidney disease, especially those with kidney failure, are strongly advised to maintain a pattern of consuming durian, high levels of potassium in durian can be at risk of experiencing hyperkalemia. Consuming durian which is high in potassium will be one of the factors for the occurrence of AKI. The most famous durian fruit species in Indonesia is Durio zibethinus. Durian comes from the forests of Sumatra, Malaysia and also Kalimantan which are wild plants. To determine the effect of giving durian (Durio Zibethinus) pulp on changes in kidney function (creatinine and urea) in male white rats (Rattus Norvegicus L) Wistar strain. True Experiment with a "posttest with control group design" as many as 4 groups were given treatment for 28 days. Urea and creatinine levels were tested. Data analysis was carried out by One Way Anova post hoc Bonferroni and Kruskall Wallis. There was an effect of giving durian with graded doses in groups P1, P2 and P3 which was significant compared to the negative group. For comparisons between groups P1, P2 and P3 the results were not significant (p> 0.05). Conclusion: giving durian with graded doses has an effect on increasing Ureum and Creatinine levels in rat kidney function.

Abstract

Oligomenorrhea is a menstrual cycle that occurs longer than normal, which is more than 35 days. 7, 8 Factors that can lead to menstrual disorders include hormonal disorders, low BMI (Body Mass Index), nutritional status, and stress levels and other factors. stress can affect the production of the hormone cortisol which affects the female hormone estrogen.8 Mung beans are very beneficial for regularity because they normalize or balance the female hormone estrogen.13 The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving green milk (vigna radiata) to menstrual irregularities (oligomenorrhea). to students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra. This type of research is pre-experimental research using one group pretest and posttest. Based on this study, the research subjects used were medical architecture students at the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra who did not experience menstruation >35 days with the sampling technique of total sampling with a total of 15 samples. The results of 15 research subjects who were treated with 225 ml of mung bean milk and got an average value of 38.1 menstrual cycle pretest, and where the posttest in the first month got an average result of 30.6 days (31 days), in the posttest month the second 29.3 days (29 days), in the third month posttest 28.2 days (28 days). There is no effect of giving green milk to the menstrual cycle (oligomenorrhea) after treatment or at the pretest. There is a relationship between giving green milk to the menstrual cycle p = 0.000.

Abstract

Abstract: Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder, this disorder is characterized by delusions, hallucinations, thought disorder, restlessness, strange or hostile behaviour, feeling (affect) dull or flat, interest away from social interactions, little emotional contact (quiet, difficult to talk to), passive, apathetic or indifferent, difficult to think abstractly and lose of motivation. Sleep disturbances have been assessed in various studies in patients with schizophrenia, using subjective (ie daily interviews, sleep diaries) and objective (ie, polysomnography and actigraphy) parameters. Compared with healthy controls, patients with schizophrenia exhibit longer sleep onset latency, decreased sleep efficiency, more nighttime awakenings, increased daytime dysfunction due to sleep deprivation, poorer overall sleep quality, and a higher proportion of sleep disturbances. Previous studies have suggested that poor sleep quality is associated with female gender in schizophrenic patients. This study aims to determine the difference in sleep quality of schizophrenia patients based on gender at Madani Hospital Medan, North Sumatra. This study is an analytical descriptive with a cross-sectional study approach, sampling method using a purposive sampling technique. The data of this study were obtained from primary data using questionnaire instruments and patient medical records. Data analysis using Chi-Square test. The results showed that the sleep quality of male research respondents with disturbed sleep quality was found in 18 people (51.4%), and undisturbed sleep quality was found in 17 people (48.6%). Of female research respondents, 22 people (62.9%) had disturbed sleep quality and 13 people (37.1%). The p-value was found to be 0.334 (p0.05), which means that there was no significant difference in the sleep quality of schizophrenic patients based on gender at Madani Hospital Medan, North Sumatra. There was no significant difference in the sleep quality of schizophrenic patients based on gender at Madani Hospital Medan, North Sumatra.

Abstract

Abstract: The prevalence of the elderly in Indonesia in 2020 is predicted to be more than 28 million people in the next two years. The elderly group is prone to the occurrence of high blood pressure. Increased blood pressure is a problem that can occur in the event of ageing process. Blood pressure and pulse can be controlled through healthy lifestyle changes, such as exercising. Based on this presentation, the researcher is interested in finding out whether there is an effect of low-impact aerobic exercise on blood pressure and pulse rate in the elderly. This research method is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The design in this study was that there was only one group of interventions, or those who were given treatment. The measuring instrument used to measure is a sphygmanometer. In the Wilcoxon test, systolic blood pressure was found to have a p value of 0.005, diastolic blood pressure was found to have a p value of 0.010, and pulse was found to have a p value of 0.000. In the Wilcoxon test, it is said to have an effect if the p-value: 0.05.  It can be concluded that low-impact aerobic exercise can lower systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure, and can raise the pulse rate of the elderly

Abstract

Abstract: Stress can affect various aspects of life, including physical, psychological and social changes. Ageing and declining health are often associated with mental health conditions such as depression. Increasing physical activity can help reduce stress and improve mental health, especially depression. Aerobic exercise can be beneficial for the elderly, as long as it has the right dosage and design. Aerobic exercise to improve the physical fitness of the elderly uses low-impact exercise. This study aims to determine the influence of exercise on the level of stress of the elderly in the nursing home of Tresna Werdha Abdi Binjai. Pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. Exercise is carried out for 8 weeks with an exercise duration of around 30 minutes, 3-5 times/week. Sampling was taken using the total sampling method. The data collection technique used the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) questionnaire, which was taken before and after the exercise intervention. Based on the Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test output, it is known as a value of p=0.000 (p = 0.005), so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results after the exercise intervention. There is an influence of low-impact exercise on the stress level of the elderly at the Tresna Werdha ABDI Binjai Nursing Home.
