Abstract

The level of intelligence and proficiency possessed by each individual is certainly not the same. Intelligence is the thing thatattracts the attention of many people to be the benchmark for succeeding or not. Almost everyone thinks intellectualintelligence is a key indicator of one's success. In fact, intellectual intelligence only depends on an individual's ability toreceive, process, store, understand and think about various phenomena. There is still human intelligence that has a profoundeffect on students' learning achievements, namely emotional intelligence. Today, one of the factors that influences lowstudent learning achievement is the lack of attention of teachers and parents in developing their emotional intelligence. Ingeneral, students are less able to control their emotions in doing something, so sometimes doing as they please, going out ofcontrol. In fact, some teachers only pay attention to the intellectual intelligence of students, because they assume by havinghigh intelligence, students will get the maximum learning results. Likewise, parents, have the same assumption, so manystudents do uncontrolled activities, and end up getting disappointing results. Based on the current state of student behavior,it is necessary to review the balancing of intellectual intelligence that students have with their emotional intelligence, in orderto be able to produce resilient and independent students and success in learning for the better. Because emotionalintelligence greatly influences the success that students will achieve, emotional intelligence must be developed widely. Withthe emotional development of students, it is expected that students' learning outcomes will improve especially in Indonesiansubjects, more specifically poetry learning.

Abstract

In poetry there are three things that must be considered apart from the physical element and the inner element, amongothers (1) identifying the content, namely determining the content of the poem read, what the poet said when writing thepoem. (2) The use of language, which is the language used by poets in writing poetry. The language used in writing poetry isa concise language, but rich in meaning. (3) Words (connotations and denotations), i.e. connotations are meanings thatundergo changes in meaning while denotation is meaning that does not change. The meaning of denotation is also calledstraightforward meaning. The word does not have any meaning. The meaning is in accordance with the original concept, asit is. To find out the Resiprocal Analysis of students' ability to study the elements of poetry text building, use standard scores.Should pay more attention to the development of learning techniques used in schools, especially in learning to study theelements of poetry text building. Poetry has elements that build poetry texts that support the beauty of a poem. The elementsof this poem's building text consist of two parts, namely, the inner element and the physical element. The inner element isdivided into (a) the theme, (b) the tone, (c) the sense, (d) the mandate. While in the physical element is divided into (a)diction, (b) arimajian, (c) figurative language, (d) the word concret, (e) typography (facial layout), (f) rhythm (rhythm), (g)rhyme.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the results of using image media on the ability of students to write poetry in the fourth semester at the Islamic University of Labuhan Batu. Using descriptive qualitative research methods, with test instruments and questionnaires. The number of samples taken were fourth semester students at Labuhan Batu University, totaling 36 students. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be described that the test results for improving the poetry writing skills of fourth semester students at Labuhan Batu University are categorized as "Good". This can be seen by the average score obtained by students, which is 83.42. Writing Poetry Using Image Media by Labuhan Batu University Students is categorized as "Good". This can be seen by the average score obtained by students, which is 86.39. There is an Improvement in Writing Poetry Skills by Using Image Media by Labuhan Batu University Students. This can be seen in the hypothesis testing carried out on the data found, where the hypothesis obtained is that the value of rxy (product moment correlation coefficient between variable X and variable Y) is 1,434 so that when compared to r table, namely (1.343> 0.45, the hypothesis in this study is accepted.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini dirumuskan sebagai berikut: “bagaimana aspek semiotik dalam novel Garis Waktu karya Fiersa Besari? tujuan penelitian ini adalah : “untuk mendeskripsikan aspek semiotik dalam novel Garis Waktu karya Fiersa Besari”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah desain analisis isi deskriptif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah novel “Garis Waktu” karya Fiersa Besari, yang terdiri dari 211 halaman yang diterbitkan oleh Media Kita Tahun 2016.  Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah adalah aspek semiotik dalam novel Garis Waktu karya Fiersa Besari.Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri sebagai instrumen dibantu dengan buku teori dan novel Garis Waktu karya Fiersa Besari. Analisis data penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik content analysis. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa semiotika yang digunakan dalam novel Garis Waktu karya Fiersa Besari adalah semiotik Barthes: (1) kode teka-teki (hermeneutik), (2) kode konotatif; (3) kode simbolik (4) kode tindakan, (5) kode budaya semisal menceritakan sesuatu dengan contoh kisal masa lalu atau legenda.

Abstract

This mixed-method research investigated the phenomenon of language mixing on Deddy Corbuzier Podcast entitled “Agnez Mo ... Mantantku Ter ....”. The podcast was obtained from Deddy Corbuzier’s YouTube Channel inform of video that further transcribed into the written conversation. The results showed that Deddy Corbuzier’s video podcast contained 124 occurrences of code-mixing. There were 5 types of code-mixing with different variations of appearance. Likewise, with the investigation of code-mixing functions, there are 6 functions with different percentages in each category. WEI was the most common type of code-mixing found. While F1 was the most function of why code-mixing was used by the speaker.

Abstract

 The program "Increasing Youth Capacity Through Language Workshops and Agricultural Business Skills to Increase Family Income" aims to increase youth interest in the agricultural sector and equip them with the business skills necessary to be successful in this field. This program includes intensive training that combines theory and practice, covering modern agricultural techniques, business management, digital marketing, and product promotion. By providing access to quality training and continuing education, this program ensures that participants gain knowledge and skills that are relevant and ready to be applied in partner businesses. The program results showed a significant increase in youth interest in agriculture, which was achieved through providing information about the potential and business opportunities in this sector as well as practical experience in the field. In addition, participants' business promotion abilities are improved through training in digital marketing strategies and creating attractive promotional materials. Discussions and sharing of experiences during the workshop also provided creative ideas and practical solutions that can be implemented in partner businesses. Overall, this program has had a positive impact in increasing the capacity and skills of youth in the agricultural sector. It is hoped that with continued support, these young people can contribute more to increasing family income and the welfare of their community. This program shows that comprehensive and sustainable training can be the key to empowering youth and developing the agricultural sector

Abstract

Pelatihan metodologi penelitian dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan mahasiswa Universitas Islam Labuhan Batu dalam menyusun penelitian yang sistematis dan berkualitas. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi kendala mahasiswa dalam merumuskan masalah penelitian, memilih pendekatan metodologi yang sesuai, dan menyusun desain penelitian yang relevan. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan intensif, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Metode pelatihan mencakup pendekatan teori dan praktik yang berorientasi pada solusi permasalahan mitra, dengan fokus pada peningkatan kompetensi mahasiswa dalam penelitian kuantitatif, kualitatif, dan campuran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa untuk menyusun desain penelitian yang terstruktur, valid, dan sesuai dengan permasalahan yang dihadapi. Mahasiswa yang mengikuti pelatihan mampu merancang penelitian yang mencerminkan integrasi antara teori dan aplikasi praktis. Selain itu, kegiatan ini mendukung program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) dan Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU), khususnya dalam meningkatkan kualitas lulusan yang memiliki kompetensi riset yang baik. Dengan pendekatan yang komprehensif dan berbasis kebutuhan, pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak berkelanjutan bagi pengembangan kemampuan penelitian mahasiswa. Keberhasilan pelatihan ini menunjukkan pentingnya kolaborasi antara institusi pendidikan tinggi dan masyarakat dalam menghasilkan penelitian yang memberikan solusi konkret terhadap berbagai permasalahan.

Abstract

Pelatihan menulis akademik untuk mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Universitas Islam Labuhan Batu bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah dan tugas akhir. Kegiatan ini difokuskan pada pemahaman struktur tulisan akademik, teknik parafrase, penggunaan software cek plagiarisme, serta pengelolaan referensi menggunakan aplikasi seperti Mendeley dan Zotero. Metode yang diterapkan dalam pelatihan meliputi workshop, mentoring, dan diskusi interaktif. Hasil dari pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kualitas tulisan mahasiswa, baik dari segi struktur, orisinalitas, dan pengelolaan referensi. Tanggapan peserta sangat positif, dengan banyak dari mereka merasa lebih percaya diri dalam menyusun tugas akhir dan artikel ilmiah yang memenuhi standar akademik. Pelatihan ini juga berhasil memotivasi mahasiswa untuk menghindari plagiarisme dan memperbaiki kualitas penulisan akademik mereka secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Hingga saat ini, menyelesaikan tugas akhir (skripsi) tetap merupakan prasyarat yang harus dipenuhi untuk mendapatkan gelar sarjana, walaupun sekarang terdapat alternatif-alternatif lain yang bisa digunakan untuk memenuhi syarat kelulusan.. Secara umum, di Perguruan Tinggi (PT), menulis skripsi masih diwajibkan. Namun, bagi sebagian mahasiswa, menyelesaikan tugas akhir (skripsi) merupakan suatu kendala yang memunculkan tantangan, bahkan ada yang memilih untuk meninggalkan perkuliahan (drop-out) karena kesulitan yang dihadapi dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir mereka. Maksud dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan panduan kepada mahasiswa agar mereka dapat memahami metode yang lebih sederhana dalam menulis skripsi atau karya ilmiah lainnya. Kegiatan ini diadakan dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan pendampingan, dan diikuti oleh lima puluh mahasiswa dari semester V dan semester VII yang berasal dari Fakultas Teknik dan Ilmu Komputer Universitas Tjut Nyak Dhien. Dari hasil kegiatan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa telah dapat menguasai strategi penulisan skripsi dan karya ilmiah lainnya, serta merasa termotivasi untuk menyelesaikannya dengan semangat yang lebih besar.
