Abstract

Adolescence is a transition period from child to adult. During this period, changes occur both physically and psychologically, especially in the bio-psycho-social aspects. Changes during this period result in teenagers starting to be attracted to the opposite sex which will refer to dating activities. Good dating is healthy dating. This research aims to provide education to teenagers about safe, healthy dating. This type of research is pre-experimental with a one group pretest posttest design which was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 North Kuta in April-May 2022. The sample was 75 respondents using a simple random sampling technique. The data collection process uses a questionnaire instrument. The research results showed that the mean value of the knowledge variable before counseling was 90, after counseling it was 96.7. The percentage of attitude values obtained before counseling was 45% positive attitudes and 55% negative attitudes. After counseling the percentage value of positive attitudes was 56% and negative attitudes 44%. Testing the normality of the data using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test obtained a p value of 0.000 (p<0.005), the data was not normally distributed. The Wilcoxon test results for the knowledge variable have a p value of 0.000 and a Z value of -5.471, whereas for the attitude variable the p value is 0.000 and the Z value is -4.591. The results of this analysis show that there is an increase in knowledge before and after being given counseling and there are differences in attitudes before and after being given counseling, so it is hoped that providing counseling can increase teenagers' knowledge and attitudes about healthy dating.

Abstract

Premature Rupture of Membranes (PROM) is an obstetric problem that occurs throughout the world and increases morbidity and mortality in mothers and babies. The prevalence ofPROM in Indonesia reaches 6.46-15.6%. A preliminary study at Bali Mandara Hospital showed a high prevalence of PROM over the past four years. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the age and parity of birthing motherswith the incidence of PROM at Bali Mandara Hospital, Bali Province in 2022. This type of research is an analytical study with a cross-sectional design and uses simple random sampling on 117 birthing mothers as subjects. This study uses secondary data frompatient medical records. Univariate data are presented through frequency distribution, while bivariate analysis uses the Chi Square test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results of the research analysis indicate a significant relationship betweenthe age of the birthing mother (p-value = 0.001) and the parity of the birthing mother (p-value = 0.003) with the incidence of PROM. Health workers, especially midwives, are expected to be able to provide education and improve pregnancy care services and pregnant women are advised to undergo routine pregnancy check-ups to reduce the risk of PROM and further researchers are expected to explore other risk factors related to PROM.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a natural condition in women that brings various physical, physiological, and psychological adaptations.  If not properly managed, these psychological changes may trigger anxiety. Interviews with ten pregnant women in their third trimester indicated that seven of them (70%) often experienced anxiety. This research aimed to examine the difference in anxiety levels before and after participating in prenatal yoga among third-trimester pregnant women at UPTD Puskesmas IV South Denpasar. A quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach was used. The study took place from March to April 2024, employing simple random sampling and involving 24 respondents in their third trimester. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through univariate analysis (frequency distribution) and bivariate analysis (normality test and Paired T-Test) with a significance value of p<0.05. Findings revealed a significant reduction in anxiety levels following prenatal yoga (p<0.000). Thus, prenatal yoga is recommended as an alternative strategy to help alleviate anxiety during pregnancy. Health professionals are encouraged to implement prenatal yoga as a non-pharmacological intervention, and further research is advised to consider additional variables that may contribute to anxiety.

Menstrual pain occurs in more than 90%  of adolescence through out the world who experience pain during menstruation and 10% experience severe menstrual pain. Treatment of menstrual pain can be done using pharmacological or non-pharmacological methods. One non-pharmacological treatment is yoga therapy. The aim of this study was to determine the difference in the intensity of menstrual pain before and after yoga therapy was given to adolescent at SMAN 2 Bangli. The design of this research is quasi-experimental with a one group pre test-posttest design. The sampling technique used Non Probability Sampling, Purposive Sampling with a total of 30 respondents. The instrument used was the Numeric Rating Scale measurement sheet. The results of data analysis show that there is a difference before and after being given yoga therapy with a value of p = 0.000 (α < 0.05). The level of menstrual pain in  adolescents obtained the lowest pretest score was two and the highest scorewas six and the median value was four. In the post test results showed that the lowest score was one, the highest was five and the median was two. This demonstrates a significant difference in menstrual pain intensity among adolescent  before and after yoga therapy.
