Abstract

Abstrak: Terjemahan yang berkualitas ialah terjemahan yang mampu mengalihkan pesan dari Bahasa Sumber ke Bahasa Sasaran secara tepat dan dengan padanan gramatikal yang paling dekat. Namun sebagai pembelajar bahasa kedua, terjemahan yang dihasilkan Mahasiswa Sastra Arab Universitas Negeri Malang tidak luput dari kesalahan penerjemahan. Selain itu, mengalihkan bahasa sumber ke bahasa sasaran dengan gaya bahasa yang sama, seperti gaya bahasa jurnalistik yang digunakan pada teks berita, juga menjadi tantangan tersendiri yang harus dihadapi mahasiswa. Dalam konteks pembelajaran, kesalahan yang dilakukan mahasiswa dapat menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan pembelajar, dan sejauh mana tujuan pembelajaran tercapai. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk kesalahan makna dan tata bahasa pada naskah terjemahan Mahasiswa Sastra Arab Universitas Negeri Malang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis kesalahan.Kata Kunci; Terjemahan, Teks Berita, kesalahan

Abstract

In historical records, philosophical principles and Islamic concepts do not always compatible. The characteristics of philosophy which always question the truth of everything and Islamic principles that hold fast to the truth of revelation as the ultimate truth often lead to conflict. Along with the development of science, Muslim scientists found that philosophy as a scientific methodology can coexist with religious knowledge without contradicting the truth values that have been established in Islam. This study aims to examine more deeply the concept of Philosophy theoretically as a scientific approach as well as the implementation steps in Islamic studies. This study uses qualitative descriptive method with the type of library research. The data analysis technique consists of several steps: 1) data reduction, 2) data presentation, and 3) drawing conclusions. The results show that the philosophical approach in Islamic studies can be implemented using several techniques, including through relativism, realism, contextualism, and historical perspectives, within the scope of ontology, epistemology, or axiology. Examples of the implementation of philosophical-based Islamic studies that have been carried out include conceptual studies of Islamic education in the socio-cultural perspective, comparative studies of Islamic and Western perspective education, and applicative studies of the reconstruction of learning epistemology.

Abstract

Multiculturalism is the social reality of Indonesian society, and it cannot be separated from other aspects of life, especially education. In learning Arabic, multiculturalism not only comes from the diversity of students' backgrounds, but also considers learning orientation, learning style, learning objectives and past educational history. This multicultural phenomenon is a challenge in learning Arabic in the era of globalization, but if these challenges are properly managed, they can be turned into valuable opportunities for the advancement of Arabic learning in the future. Therefore, efforts are needed to design an appropriate curriculum with multicultural principles in learning Arabic. This research aims to delve into the principles of curriculum development on a multicultural basis for teaching Arabic, opportunities, and challenges in the application. This paper uses the Library Research method, which is written based on the results of a study of various relevant library materials. The data collected is qualitative data. The data was analyzed by data reduction, data classification, data description and conclusion.إن تعدد الثقافات هو الواقع الاجتماعي للمجتمع الإندونيسي، ولا يمكن فصله عن جوانب الحياة الأخرى، وخاصة التعليم. في تعلم اللغة العربية، لا يأتي تعدد الثقافات فقط من تنوع خلفيات الطلاب، ولكن ينظر أيضًا في توجه التعلم وأسلوب التعلم وأهداف التعلم والتاريخ التعليمي السابق. تعدّ هذه الظاهرة أي متعدد الثقافات تحديًا في تعلم اللغة العربية في العصر العولمة، ولكن إذا تم توجيه هذه التحديات بشكل صحيح، يمكن تحويلها إلى فرص ثمينة لتقدم تعلم اللغة العربية في المستقبل. لذلك هناك حاجة إلى بذل جهود لتصميم المنهج الدراسي المناسب بمبادئ متعدد الثقافات في تعلم اللغة العربية. ويهدف هذا البحث إلى التعمق في مبادئ تطوير المنهج الدراسي على أساس متعدد الثقافات لتعليم اللغة العربية، وتحديات وفرصات في تطبيقها. يستخدم هذ البحث طريقة البحث المكتبي (library research)، التي تتم كتابتها بناءً على نتائج دراسة مواد مكتبية متنوعة ذات صلة. نوع البيانات هي البيانات النوعية. وتم تحليل البيانات بإجراءات تقليل البيانات، وتصنيف البيانات، ووصف البيانات، والاستنتاج

Abstract

Learning Arabic that takes place only in the classroom is not enough to achieve maximum educational goals. Therefore, Arabic week programs offered by formal and informal institutions began to emerge. One of them is an Arabic week program implemented by Darussalam Modern Islamic Institution First for Male in Ponorogo to improve students' speaking skills. This research aims to study 1) the process of implementing the Arabic week program, 2) the drivers and implementers of the Arabic week program at Darussalam Modern Islamic Institution, 3) the role of the Arabic week program on students' speaking skills, and 4) the factors that influence Arabic week program implementation. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. The data sources are teachers, supervisors, students, documents, conditions, and phenomena in the research field. Primary data is a collection of information that includes words, actions, and facts, while secondary data is information from other references. Data collection methods are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data classification, data presentation, and concluding. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Arabic Week Program consistently and regularly in this school can improve students' Arabic skills. This success is supported by the efforts of language drivers as program organizers and implementers. With good implementation management, this program can achieve its goal of improving students' ability to speak Arabic fluently. Various factors have contributed to the success of this program, one of which is a good role and example of the administrators and teachers in empowering the Arabic Week Program to students, besides that students live in an orderly environment and strict language discipline. إن تعلم اللغة العربية الذي يتم فقط في الفصول الدراسية يُعد غير كافٍ لتحقيق الأهداف التعليمية بشكل أقصى حد. لذلك، بدأت تظهر البرامج اللغوية العربية تقدمها المؤسسات الرسمية وغير الرسمية. وأحدها برنامج الأسبوع العربي الذي يقدمها معهد دار السلام كونتور الحديث للبنين الأول بمدينة فونوروكو لترقية مهارة الكلام لدى الطلاب. ويهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة 1) عملية تنفيذ برنامج الأسبوع العربي، و2) المحرك في تنفيذ برنامج الأسبوع العربي في معهد دار السلام كونتور، و3) دور برنامج الأسبوع العربي على مهارة الكلام لدى الطلاب، و4) العوامل التي تؤثر في تنفيذ برنامج الأسبوع العربي. يستخدم هذا البحث المدخل الكيفي بنوع البحث دراسة حالة. ومصادر البيانات هي المعلم والمشرف والطلاب والوثائق والأحوال والظواهر الموجودة في ميدان البحث. والبيانات الأساسية هي مجموعة من المعلومات التي تشمل على الأقوال والأفعال والوقائع، والبيانات الثانوية وهي معلومات من مراجع أخرى. وطريقة جمع البيانات هي الملاحظة والمقابلة والتوثيق. وتم تحليل البيانات بالخطوات تقليل البيانات، وتصنيف البيانات، وعرض البيانات، والاستنتاج. بناء على نتائج البحث، يستنتج أنه يمكن أن يؤدي تنفيذ برنامج الأسبوع العربي بشكل مستمر ومنتظم في معهد دار السلام كونتور الإسلامي الحديث الأول للبنين إلى ترقية مهارات الطلاب في اللغة العربية. هذا النجاح مدعوم بجهود محركي اللغة كمنظمين ومنفذين للبرنامج. من خلال إدارة التنفيذ الجيدة، يمكن لهذا البرنامج أن يحقق هدفه المتمثل في تحسين قدرة الطلاب على التحدث باللغة العربية بطلاقة. ساهمت عوامل مختلفة في نجاح هذا البرنامج، أحدها مثال جيد من المدير والمعلمين في تمكين برنامج الأسبوع العربي للطلاب، إلى جانب أن الطلاب يعيشون في بيئة منظمة وانضباط لغوي صارم.

Abstract

Andalusia is one of the most magnificent centers of Islamic civilization. Its beauty is said to be able to match the beauty of Baghdad and Constantinople. This makes Andalusia as one of the centers of world civilization. Physical and architectural development in Andalusia advanced and developed during the leadership of Abdurrahman An-Nashir (912-961M). This is because apart from being proficient in politics, Abdurrahman III is also known to be proficient in the field of development planning. This study aims to explore further the role of Abdurrahman An-Nashir in advancing architecture in Andalusia, as well as the impact of these advances in various fields. Some of An-Nashir's efforts in advancing Andalusian architecture were urban planning, building mosques, building palaces, and establishing universities and libraries. This policy has positive impacts in various fields, including advancing the education sector, improving the economy, maintaining government stability, and contributing to the legacy of civilization.

Abstract

In the historical context of Arabic language development in Indonesia, the initiation of Arabic education took place in informal settings, notably in Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren). As time progressed, the prominence of Arabic language integration into formal education became more evident, spanning from elementary to tertiary levels. Arabic language learning involves four key language skills: listening (maharah istima’), speaking (maharah kalam), reading (maharah qiro’ah), and writing (maharah kitabah). Educationally, Arabic language proficiency is influenced by diverse factors, encompassing students' prior educational backgrounds. Field observations reveal that not all Arabic Education majors in Islamic higher education institutions originate from Islamic boarding schools, leading to variations in language competency levels. Consequently, this study focuses on assessing the impact of pesantren educational backgrounds on the Arabic language competence of students at IAI Sunan Kalijogo Malang, utilizing a qualitative descriptive research method. Findings indicate that students with pesantren backgrounds exhibit superior grammatical understanding of Arabic, while those without pesantren backgrounds excel in general linguistic and learning theories. However, both groups encounter challenges in mastering spoken Arabic (maharah kalam).

Abstract

Behaviorist-Structural theory is one of the important theories in language learning. This theory is a meeting between behavioral theory in psychology and structuralist theory in linguistics. The combination of these two theories not only creates new principles and views, but also has an impact on the development of language learning, especially second languages. This study aims to describe the behavioralist-structural theory view and its application in Arabic learning. This research is a conceptual study using descriptive-qualitative method. The results of the study show that several learning models that can be applied based on the Behaviorist-Structuralist view are: 1) Repetition of speech and conversation in Arabic, 2) Practice repeating speech with replaced isim/fi'il, 3) Practice expanding sentences patterns, and 4) Exercises for manipulation of isim/fi'il sentences. According to the behavioralist-structuralist view, the teacher and the environment play a major role in the success of learning Arabic as a second language, both in the formal (school) and informal environment (home/family).

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis atau maharah kitabah masih dianggap keterampilan yang paling sulit untuk dikuasai oleh siswa, dibandingkan dengan tiga keterampilan berbahasa yang lain. Hal ini disebabkan karena prosesnya yang rumit dan keterlibatan banyak unsur dalam melahirkan sebuah tulisan. Dalam hal ini, teori belajar kontruktivisme yang diusung oleh Jean Piaget dapat memberikan gambaran mengenai model pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mengajarkan maharah kitabah. Teori ini memandang bahwa pengetahuan sejati bukan hanya diperoleh, namun dibangun dengan pengetahuan yang sudah ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi lebih dalam mengenai pembelajaran Maharah Kitabah dari perspektif teori kontruktivisme Jean Piaget. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik penelitian pustaka. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari tiga langkah, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kitabah berdasarkan teori kontruktivisme Jean Piaget berusaha membangun pengetahuan baru pada siswa melalui kombinasi berbagai pengetahuan dan pengalaman yang didapat sebelumnya. Konsep pembelajaran ini mampu membantu siswa menguasai keterampilan baru tanpa meniadakan keterampilan yang telah dimiliki. Konsep ini dapat diaplikasikan pada setiap tahapan pembelajaran maharah kitabah, yaitu menyalin, imla’, menulis terkontrol, mengarang terbimbing, dan mengarang bebas.

Abstract

Defining the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) is the first stage of implementing learning outcome assessment as part of curriculum development. Students are said to succeed in a subject if they achieve the minimum completeness criteria specified in the syllabus. This research aims to study the procedures and the method used to defining the minimum completeness criteria for Arabic lessons at Al-Fattah Elementary School, Batu, Malang. This study used the descriptive-qualitative method. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that defining the minimum completeness criteria for Arabic lessons in Al-Fattah Elementary School follows two procedures. First, the Subject Teachers’ Consultation Council (MGMP) defines the minimum completeness criteria at the beginning of the school year, and for each basic competency (KD), its standard is 67, and Arabic language lesson have a standard of 71. Secondly, the minimum completeness criteria that have been defined are published for all Arabic teachers. The process of defining minimum completeness criteria in this school uses the value range method to assign the level of complexity, level of students’ absorption capacity, and efficiency level of auxiliary resources, and then calculates it using the appropriate formula to get the exact score.

Abstract

Learning media plays a crucial role in facilitating effective teaching and learning activities. As instructional aids, media support educators in delivering material and enhancing student comprehension. In Arabic language learning, the four linguistic skills—Istima’ (listening), Kalam (speaking), Qira’ah (reading), and Kitabah (writing)—require diverse media tailored to their specific functions and objectives. This study explores the implementation of learning media in Arabic language education within Islamic higher education institutions, focusing on the benefits and challenges encountered. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that various types of media are utilized, including audio, visual, audio-visual, and interactive multimedia formats. While these media provide significant benefits in enhancing student engagement and comprehension, challenges such as resource limitations and adaptation issues persist. This study contributes to efforts aimed at optimizing the use of learning media to improve the quality of Arabic language education in Islamic higher education institutions.
