Abstract

The precast beam-column connection method with CFRPs can be developed into an applicable splicing method and environmentally friendly, considering its achievement of 90.6% over monolith joints. The existing weaknesses need to be studied further for the improvement of this connection method. The use of belts with a perpendicular U-shape direction apparently causes the effect of edge stress (scissor force) which actually causes premature failure. This study aims to analyze the influence of belt direction on precast beam-column joints with CFRPs, namely attaching diagonal directional belts to the U-shape. Variations of specimens used are monolith connections (MN) as normal specimens, beltless connections (U1-B0), connections with one belt installed perpendicular to U-shape (U1-B1) and connections with one belt mounted diagonally to the U-shape (U1-DB1). The MN joint achieves a load capacity of 24 kN and deflection of 44.7 mm. U1-B0 reaches 21.75 kN or 90.6% with deflection of 31.36 mm or 70.2% against MN. The U1-B1 reaches 15 kN (62.5%) and deflection is 27.10 mm (60.6%). The U1-DB1 connection reached 26.25 kN (109.4%) with a deflection of 47.16 mm (105.5%) against MN. Changing the direction of the belt to diagonal has improved joint performance, increasing load capacity by 175% and deflection by 174% against U1-B1 and achieving more than monolith joints. With the use of diagonal belts, edge stress still occurs but the process is slower so that the U-shape can last longer. A thicker U-shape is needed to overcome edge stress and this is a part that needs further study.

Abstract

The Central Market of the Supiori Regency is one of the economic centres in the Supiori Regency. However, in its development, it did not turn out as expected. The market was abandoned by the traders whopreferred to sell along the streets of Sorendiweri City, the capital of Supiori Regency. This has caused the mainroad in Sorendiweri City, which is used as a trading area, to be filled with scattered trash. Vehicle drivers passingthrough the location become uncomfortable and disturbed because the vendors occupy half the road to sell theirgoods. This research has two objectives, namely, first, to identify and analyze the factors causing traders to preferselling on the main road within the city of Sorendiweri rather than at the Central Market, and second, to identifyand analyze the local government's policy strategies in building new infrastructure to improve accessibility to theCentral Market. This research uses qualitative descriptive analysis to analyze the data.

Abstract

A study has been conducted on the typology of earthquake disaster-prone areas in the city of Jayapura and the suitability of Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) for land use capacity in the city of Jayapura. The study onearthquake disaster-prone area typology aims to determine the distribution of stability levels of the area againstthe risk of earthquakes. This study employs a weighting matrix method for area stability based on the Minister ofPublic Works Regulation No. 21 of 2007 concerning Guidelines for Spatial Planning of Volcanic Eruption andEarthquake-Prone Areas (Department of Public Works, 2007). The research results indicate that the final score forthe city of Jayapura is between 30 - 45, which falls into all stability categories: stable and less stable. Thepercentage of area for each category is 97.81% for Stable Type A, 1.91% for Stable Type B, and 0.28% for LessStable Type C. The typology of earthquake disaster-prone areas in Jayapura based on stability scores falls intocategories A, B, and C. The study on the suitability of the Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) for 2013-2033 with the land usecapacity in Jayapura was assessed by scoring data on land capacity and land use, followed by an overlay analysis. This resulted in a land capacity suitable for development of 57,039.39 hectares, or about 60.48% of the study area, while approximately 37,272.96 hectares, or around 39.52%, were deemed unsuitable.

Abstract

The Papua Mountains region has extreme geographical challenges that have an impact on the high need for road infrastructure maintenance. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the value of the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and Life Cycle Cost (LCC), and to consider estimated inflation and net present value (NPV) as the basis for long-term budget planning. The study was conducted on the Tiom–Kuyawage (4.6 km) and Tiom–Balingga (2.7 km) roads in Lanny Jaya Regency. The PCI value in Tiom–Kuyawage has decreased significantly from 89.19 (2023) to 58.30 (2025), while Tiom–Balingga remains high at 87.44 (2025). The projected total maintenance cost for 20 years (2025–2045) shows a need of IDR 201.42 billion for Tiom–Kuyawage and IDR 122.62 billion for Tiom–Balingga. However, if calculated based on present value (NPV), assuming inflation of 3.09% and an interest rate of 5.04%, the actual need will be IDR 105.75 billion and IDR 64.58 billion, respectively. These findings suggest that the deterioration of road conditions (PCI) directly raises the cost of maintenance (LCC), and that the use of an NPV-based financial approach is important for budget efficiency. This study recommends a road maintenance strategy based on actual conditions, to be carried out periodically in the mountainous Papua region.

Abstract

A terminal is a part of land transportation which is the node point for various land transportation facilities (modes). The Waena Terminal has been equipped with terminal facilities and complementary buildings, but has not been used optimally, and even looks dirty and unkempt. This research aims to analyze the condition of the infrastructure, utilization and maintenance of the Waena Terminal. This research was conducted in Jayapura City, precisely at the Waena Public Transport Terminal which is administratively part of the Jayapura Municipal government area. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively. The research results show that the physical infrastructure at Waena Terminal is very complete when viewed against the standards set by the government. However, in terms of soft infrastructure, the Waena terminal has not been fulfilled, namely there is no terminal management by the related parties. The use and maintenance of the Waena Terminal has not gone well because it appears there is no terminal management.
