Abstract

[Title: Contextualization of Learning with Biological Objects, Its Effect on Student Skills Planning Learning]. This study aims to describe the impact of the contextualization of learning with biological objects on learning planning skills. This type of quantitative descriptive research with quasi-experimental methods, research design posttest-only control design. Cluster random sampling is carried out in determining the research sample consisting of 80 experimental and control classes in the sixth semester of the Department of Natural Sciences of Biology, FTK UIN Mataram. Student skills planning data for learning are collected with a performance test instrument then analyzed by t statistics. The results showed that the average value of the experimental class 65.70 was lower than the control class 69.13 (p = 0.143> 0.05, meaning that it did not differ significantly. Thus the contextualization of learning with biological objects did not have a significant impact on student skills in planning to learn. The planning of learning biology can be done by students even though they are not dealing directly with the real object of biology.

Abstract

Terkait dengan rumusan masalah yang diangkat, maka tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa Kelas X A dengan mengimplementasikan media audio visual dalam pembelajaran IPA biologi materi virus di MA Qur‟aniyah Batu Kuta Naramada Tahun Pelajaran2015/2016.Penelitian ini mengunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK).Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MA Qur‟aniyah Batu Kuta Narmada Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016 yang bejumlah 31 yang dijadika Subjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data meng-gunakan Observasi, Dokumentasi. Dari analisi observasi siklus I mendapatkan hasil 60% dengan criteria siswa yaitu cukup Aktif di dalam proses pembelajaran, sedangkan pada siklus II menda-patkan hasil 86%. Dari hasil siklus I dengan siklus II, maka peneliti dapat mengemukakan terdapat peningkatan aktivitas belajar dengan implementasikan Media Audio Visual Pada siswa Kelas X MA Qur‟aniyah Batu Kuta Narmada m Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Dengan demikian Implementasi Media Audio Visual dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi infusa daun salam dan waktu pengamatan terhadap penurunan jumlah bakteri pada daging ayam pedaging. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan yaitu (konsentrasi infusa 0%, 5%, 10%) dan 3 ulangan. Variabel yang diukur meliputi jumlah bakteri. Data total koloni bakteri dianalisis secara kuantitatif menggunakan ANOVA. Hasil analisis data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa F hitung > Ftabel sehingga Ha diterima artinya perendaman dengan konsentrasi infusa daun salam berpengaruh terhadap penurunan total koloni bakteri pada daging ayam pedaging karna senyawa yang terkandung di dalam daun salam seperti tannin, flavonoid, dll.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to explore the impact of Public Service Motivation (PSM) on the teaching performance of biology teachers at Madrasah Aliyah in Central Lombok Regency. The research method employed was a quantitative approach. This research was conducted on 32 samples of biology teachers at Madrasah Aliyah (High School) in Central Lombok Regency. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire containing statements filled out by respondents using a Likert Scale and scores of the respondent’s answer in each variable. Statistical calculations showed that the correlation value (r) between the Public Service Motivation (PSM) and the Teachers Performance variables was positive (0.278). However, the correlation between the Public Service Motivation and the Teachers Performance variables occurred was not significant. This present study suggests that Public Service Motivation has a positive correlation with the Teaching Performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara kinerja guru dan pola asuh orang tua terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa kelas X di MA Yusuf Abdussatar Kediri Lombok Barat. Penelitian ini memiliki tiga variabel yaitu kinerja guru (X₁) dan pola asuh orang tua (X₂) sebagai variabel bebas serta kemandirian belajar siswa (Y) sebagai variabel terikat. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian expost-facto. Adapun Instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data ialah berupa angket dan wawancara. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 107 siswa. Adapun teknik penarikan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 siswi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah teknik analisis statistik dengan model regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kinerja guru dan pola asuh orang tua terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa kelas X di MA Yusuf Abdussatar. Hal ini berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan program SPSS22 sehingga didapat nilai pada uji silumtan model regresi ganda yaitu berupa f hitung = 10,60 dan f tabel = 3,32 pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hal ini berarti bahwa nilai f hitung variabel kinerja guru dan pola asuh orang tua > f tabel yaitu 10,60 > 3,32, sehingga hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, sedangkan hipotesis nihil (Ho) ditolak.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem based learning models with character emphasis and naturalist intelligence on students' scientific literacy. This study is an experimental research with a treatment design by Level 2 x 2. Learning treatment includes problem-based learning with character emphasis (PBL-CE), and problem-based learning (PBL), each of which is given to groups of students with high naturalist intelligence and low naturalist intelligence. The research sample was two groups of students taken at random at two schools in the city of Mataram, namely Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Mataram and Madrasah Aliyah NW Nurul Jannah Ampenan. The data of student scientific literacy were analyzed descriptive-statistically to get a description of the level of student scientific literacy, as well as the ANOVA test to test the research hypothesis at a significance level of 0.05. The results of this study show that the scientific literacy of students taught with PBL-CE is significantly higher than students taught with PBL, and students with high naturalist intelligence are significantly higher in scientific literacy than students with low naturalist intelligence. Furthermore, the interaction between problem-based learning (PBL-CE and PBL) and naturalist intelligence significantly influences students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the effect of the PBL model on students' creative thinking ability. A quasi-experimental study with 70 samples divided into experimental group and control group was carried out in this study. Data on students' creative thinking ability were collected using 8 items of essay test instruments that accommodate the creative thinking ability indicators. Descriptive analysis using the n-gain equation and statistical analysis using the ANOVA test were carried out to determine the improvement and effect of the treatment implemented on students' creative thinking ability. The results showed that the students’ creative thinking ability in the experimental group (n-gain: 0.72) was significantly different (p<0.05) in comparison with the control group (n-gain: 0.14). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the PBL model has a significant effect on students' creative thinking ability

Abstract

An important aspect of learning outcomes at all levels of education is cognitive learning outcomes, and to achieve optimal cognitive learning outcomes, multi-method intervention is needed. This study aims to determine the effect of using cognitive conflict strategies on students' cognitive learning outcomes. Experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design was conducted in this study. A total of thirty-five students as the research sample, sample came from one of the high schools in West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Cognitive conflict strategies are conducted in the material of continuous straight motion and uniformly changing straight motion. Measurement of cognitive learning outcomes using a test instrument (essay test) as many as six test items that accommodate cognitive level 1 (C1) to 6 (C6) and these are given to students as pretest and posttest. Descriptively, the results showed that cognitive learning outcomes increased after learning using cognitive conflict strategies (mean: 3. 4803) significantly (p: 0.000) with an n-gain of 0.74 in the high category. These results imply that cognitive conflict strategies are effective for improving students' cognitive learning outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the scientific curiosity of prospective Biological teachers based on gender. Scientific curiosity in this research consists of three components, namely 1) Practice Science, 2) Stretch, and 3) Embrace. The survey method used in this study involved 100 prospective students of education teachers as samples. Scientific curiosity data was collected using Science Curiosity in Learning Environments (SCILE) which has been declared reliable (Cronbach alpha: 0.91). Differences in the scientific curiosity of male and female were analyzed descriptively and statistically using t-test and Mann-Whitney test. The results showed that the scientific curiosity of science teacher candidates was in a good category, male and female teacher candidates were significantly different only in the science practice component (p: 0.020), while the stretching (p: 0.505) and embracing components (p : 0.05). : 0.185). no significant difference was found between male and female students

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the effect of problem-based learning on students' critical thinking skills and scientific literacy. This research is a quasi-experimental study with pre-test-post test control group design. Sampling was done by saturated sampling technique in which the experimental class consisted of 35 students and the control class was 34 students. Data on critical thinking skills and student scientific literacy were collected using test instruments which were then analyzed descriptively and statistically. The results showed that the Problem-based Learning model had more effect on students’ critical thinking and scientific literacy (p <0.05) than conventional learning models applied to the control class. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Problem-based Learning model significantly effect on students’ critical thinking and science literacy in class XI MAN 1 Mataram.
