The basic nature of science is to develop, even though it is still necessary to develop a science strategy so that science is in accordance with the existing objectives and also the rules of applying science. Al-Ghazali divided the principles of the application of science into seven and the strategy for developing science into six strategies. This cannot be separated from the responsibility of science, scientists, and also the community. Because all three are interrelated. Of the six strategies for developing knowledge, basically, all the sciences already have those strategies.

Semantic Mapping is a simple strategy used by students by clustering words starting with determining the main idea according to the theme they will tell and supported by words related to the main idea. this study aims to (1) The influence of semantic mapping strategy on students' ability to write recount text (2) to test the effectiveness of the semantic mapping strategy of students' ability to write recount text. The method used in this research is a Quasi-Experimental method with a Non-equivalent design. Data obtained through tests and documentation. The sample of this research was 15 students of Elementary. based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, students' ability in writing recount texts increased by 38, which is the difference between the control class' post-test average score of 48 and the experimental class's post-test average score of 86. Furthermore, based on the statistical calculation of 0.05, the value of Sig. < 0.05 (0.045 < 0.05), means that the use of the Semantic Mapping strategy is effective in improving the ability to write recount text.

Than English language learning is a behavior that tends to have relative provisions and produces strong actions. The problem that discussed are focused on reading and speaking skills because students felt unconfident to read and speak English and them afraid of making mistakes in English learning. This research used quantitative correlation design to approach the data. The population was 642 students’ at the first grade in SMA Ibrahimy sukorejo. The sample selected as many as 62 students in the study was carried out using a side-by-side purposive technique while data collection was carried out by tests and observations the data analysis used Pearson product moments to analyze the relationship between reading and speaking skills with learning English in class 1 socio IV at SMA Ibrahimy Sukorejo of Situbondo. The research's findings indicate that students' reading and speaking skills have a positive and correlation significant of English learning and alternative hypothesis is accepted. Based on The score sig 1.000 ≤ 0.05. The Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted based on the results of the hypothesis testing, and based on the output of the analysis of the Pearson formula in SPSS, it has a significant score (Sig) of 0.24 and 1.000. Score Sig 0.05 indicates that the independent variable has an impact on the dependent variable. It shows there is a correlation between reading and speaking skills in the first grade of social 4 at SMA Ibrahimy Sukorejo students learning English as a foreign language.

This study was approached for finding out whether there was a significant correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and students’ reading comprehension in narrative text or not. The researcher used quantitative research and correlation method, and there were two research variables, vocabulary mastery as variable X and reading comprehension as variable Y. The sample of this research was purposive sampling and 23 students taken. In collecting the data of this research, the researcher used multiple choice test consisted 20 item questions to measure students’ vocabulary mastery and their reading comprehension. The data was analyzed by using the formula of Product Moment (Pearson) through SPSS 16.0. The result of Product Moment (Pearson) was categorized strong with the coefficient correlation was 0.680 and the significance was 0.05, it meant that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The result showed that there was a significant correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and students’ reading comprehension in narrative text at the eighth grade of MTsS Lombok Kulon Wonosari Bondowoso in the academic year 2021/2022

Abstract The 21st century has a significant impact on the development of education. 21st century education directs students to have higher order thinking skills (HOTS). Furthermore, project-based learning is one of the learning models that is highly recommended to encourage students' HOTS skills. Many applications of project-based learning models have not found the effect of edmodo-based project-based learning on students' HOTS skills. This study aims to determine the effect of edmodo-based project-based learning model on students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). This type of research is a meta-analysis. The data source comes from the analysis of 10 national journals indexed by SINTA. Data sources were searched through Researcgate, Google Scholar, DOAJ and Mendeley. Inclusion criteria are that the research comes from SINTA indexed journals, the research must be experimental, the research was published in 2021-2023 and reports complete data for calculating effect size. Statistical analysis using JASP assistance. The results concluded that the edmodo-based project-based learning model had a significant effect on students' HOTS with an average effect size of 1.097 with high effect size criteria. This finding explains that the edmodo-based project-based learning model is effective in improving students' higher order thinking skills (HOTS) with a z value = 6.474; P < 0.001
