Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi pada generasi sekarang ini cukup luas dalam tujuan untuk mendukung kinerja manusia yang beraneka ragam. Salah satunya yang sudah menjadi kenyataan dalam perkembangan teknologi seperti komputer. Saat ini computer mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting terutama bidang pendidikan. Seiring perkembangan jaman maka komputer menjadi satu-satunya pilihan tepat sebagai Media Pembelajaran yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh Panti Asuhan Talenta Delpita Medan dalam membantu penyampaian bermacam Materi Pelajaran kepada anak-anak khususnya Materi Operasi Hitung Aritmetika Sosial. Dengan demikian anak-anak dapat belajar secara mandiri tanpa harus di tuntun oleh Guru Matematika yang bersangkutan namun dapat di pandu oleh seorang pembimbing yang memahami cara pengoperasian computer. Metode ini disebut dengan istilah Computer Based Instruction (CBI) yaitu Sebuah pembelajaran terprogram yang menggunakan komputer sebagai sarana utama atau alat bantu yang mengkomunikasikan materi kepada anak-anak sehingga mudah dimengerti serta menambah semangat untuk belajar.

Abstract

SMK Swasta Mulia Pratama Medan is one of the teacher training high schools in the city of Medan that has the determination to become a superior institution and become a reference in learning innovation. in the implementation of education carried out for the concentration of networks in SMK Swasta Mulia Pratama Medan, specifically studied practice and theory in class and laboratory on a scheduled basis, but it turns out that the lessons delivered in class and laboratory are still felt to be lacking due to limited time and facilities in the laboratory itself, where the LAN network application module taught must be studied in groups alternately and this is a real obstacle for students who queue to learn LAN network tools and modules. The use of network simulation software is very important to facilitate the abstraction of Computer Network subjects. In the study, the impact and effectiveness of network simulators in the teaching and learning process of computer networks will be examined. The network simulator chosen is Cisco Packet Tracer

Abstract

Active involvement of church youth in ministry is essential for fostering spiritual growth and creativity among Christian youth. In today's digital era, social media serves as a powerful platform to promote church activities in an engaging and modern way. However, many youths lack the skills to design content that is visually appealing and aligned with digital trends. This community service activity aimed to enhance the ability of the youth at GPP Church, Jl. Pelajar, Medan, in creating creative social media content using design applications such as Canva and CapCut. The implementation method included initial observation, hands-on training, mentoring, and evaluation of the participants' work. The results showed high enthusiasm from the participants and their ability to produce creative content in the form of posters, reels, and promotional church event designs. This training successfully improved their understanding and skills in designing and using social media positively to support church events and outreach. Furthermore, it empowered the youth to become creative digital ambassadors for the church, staying relevant to current technological developments.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the skills and competitiveness of community business groups in Batang Kuis Pekan Village in the fields of handicrafts, souvenirs, screen printing, and printing. The methods used include problem identification, program planning, activity implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. The program includes design and production training, digital marketing, and business financial management. The results of the evaluation showed that more than 80% of the participants were able to apply the skills taught, including the use of digital technology for marketing and financial records. The assistance provided also helped participants overcome technical obstacles in production and business management. This activity was strengthened by a discussion session with STMIK lecturer Mulia Darma who emphasized the importance of collaboration between academics, the government, and the business community in building a sustainable business ecosystem. The recommendation for the formation of a local entrepreneurial community is expected to strengthen the network between business actors and support the sustainability of the program. Thus, this program has succeeded in providing real benefits for community business groups and can be used as a model for community-based economic development in other regions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan terhadap para pasien yang akan berobat pada Rumah Sakit Sundari yang dirasakan oleh karyawan di R.S. Sundari. Sehubungan dengan masalah tersebut untuk melakukan penilaian terhadap kualitas layanan dengan faktor yang dibutuhkan dalam penilaian terhadap karyawan sebagai penyedia layanan kemudian pemrosesan dari hasil penilaian memakai metode topsis sehingga mendapatkan hasil yang diinginkan dengan menggunakan aplikasi bahasa pemrograman menerapkan metode TOPSIS.

Abstract

Perpustakaan pesantren Babul Ulum pasti membutuhkan peran komputer. Jika perpustakaan tidak memiliki desain aplikasi perpustakaan, pengumpulan data tentang buku perpustakaan dapat membuang banyak waktu staf perpustakaan. Perpustakaan Pesantren Babul Ulum merupakan perpustakaan dengan berbagai macam kitab. Diperlukan kreativitas untuk menyajikan data buku dengan indah di perpustakaan. Ada berbagai cara untuk membersihkan data buku di perpustakaan. Untuk mengatasi dengan menggunakan teknik data mining. Dalam hal ini, algoritma apriori salah satu jenis algoritma data mining yang menyembunyikan atau menyembunyikan informasi berharga dalam kumpulan data (database) yang sangat besar untuk menemukan pola-pola menarik yang sebelumnya tidak diketahui.

Abstract

Selecting the best teacher is crucial in the field of education as it motivates educators who have taught students and allows for recognition of their efforts. However, currently, the data collection process is poorly organized, leading to suboptimal outcomes in identifying the best teachers. Therefore, this study uses a decision support system applying the Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) to calculate the competency scores for each teacher and rank them accordingly. MAUT, which stands for Multi-Attribute Utility Theory, is used for decision-making by identifying relevant attributes and assigning weights to each attribute based on its importance. The implementation of a decision support system using MAUT is expected to assist in accurately and effectively determining the best teacher at SDN 101883 Pasar XIII. This research aids SDN 101883 Pasar XIII in making structured, accurate decisions regarding the selection of the best teacher. The study results indicate that Salome Pandiangan, S.Pd, with a score of 0.818975, is identified as the best teacher at SDN 101883 Pasar XIII.

Abstract

File document compression is a crucial technique for data transmission to reduce file size without losing relevant information. Large file sizes require substantial storage space. Document files are generally larger compared to other text file formats. Due to the large size of docx files, data transmission can be time-consuming. Compression is a technique used to address this issue by reducing the size of data. This study utilizes the Punctured Elias Code and Taboo Code algorithms, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. After compressing with both algorithms, a comparison was performed. The final results indicate that the Taboo Code algorithm is the fastest and most effective for compressing document files, as a smaller total value indicates less effort required by the algorithm in the compression process.

Abstract

With the rapid advancement of scientific knowledge, the way people access information has also changed significantly. The need for information is now met not only through print media but also through electronic media such as e-books. To address issues related to the large size of digital files, such as PDFs, data compression techniques become crucial. Compression is the process of reducing the size of data to be smaller than its original size, making large files with many repeated characters more efficient for storage. This research aims to evaluate the performance of various compression algorithms by measuring the results of compressing PDF files according to specific parameters. The study shows that the Levenstein algorithm generally performs better in producing smaller file sizes compared to the Taboo Codes algorithm.
